hello, I’m sorry no one has replied! I’m not on here much and was doing a keyword search, saw your post. I don’t have brand names that I can recall but I used to buy, when I could afford to the kind that are drops under your tongue. Check it out on your amazon app

There is nothing that is impossible.

Since those are over the counter meds I don’t think any one is better than the other. My doctor told me to take Vit D3 and calcium supplements. I generally just buy whichever oneis the best price. I’ve never been advised to buy a certain kind and I have osteoporosis. I also take Boniva once a month. That is a prescription.

I take Vit D3,,I buy from local vitamin store,,inexpensive and I bought Calcium gummies from Costco..not sure if chewing them affects absorption rather than swallowing a pill, but I find most of the Calcium pills the size of horse pills.. :)

garden of life (vitamin code), Nordic naturals and neolife vitamins are what I recommend. You want something without all the fake added laboratory crap. Try to find plant based and with no soy or sugar additives.

LLHS,

The ideal source of Ca is food. If, on a given day, your intake from food is below 1200 mg, you can add the rest in supplements.

I like Ca citrate better than Ca carbonate, but the latter is cheaper and not that different in effectiveness.

About the recommendation of 800 IU of vit D, was that based on measurement of your blood level of D? 800 IU can be a bit too much for some people, and it can be way too little for others.

If you are a BC survivor, presumably your D level was measured, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

For those of you that must supplement with calcium, it is very important to also take Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K2.

The K2 helps the calcium deposit in your bones and not your arteries.

As for D3, it is a fat soluble vitamin, and many supps use bad oils. I have found one that is made with extra virgin olive oil.

I take 10,000 iu of Vitamin D3 per day. Most people are WAY too low and it is such an important vitamin for many functions.
