Hey Sisters,

Well, I have come here because I am really nervous about a rash, about 1/2 inch long and raised, on my back. It's the opposite side that my bc was in. I was diagnosed w/ IBC 2 years ago. I was feeling optimistic that everything would be okay for awhile. I will call my pcp in the am. Just needing to share this and vent a bit. I am shakey as I type this. Please say a prayer for me.

Hugs and Prayers,

Hi Lexi,

I will say a prayer, and you are doing the right thing by getting it checked out. I hope it isn't related to bc!

Dear Lexi,

I am so sorry that you are going through all this additional worry just now - my heart goes out to you. It is just so typical of our lot with this disease that every little itch/scratch/ache/rash we get we automatically fear is related to the bc. You are doing the right thing by getting it checked out and I am sure there will be another explanation for it. In the meantime, try not to worry and do something to take your mind off it - easier said than done, I know!

Thinking of you and sending cyber hugs your way!

Hi SIters,

I just got home from my appt. The doc said it could be areaction from a bug bite, however because it does look similar to the rash I had that was cancerous, it should be biopsied. He tried to get me into the derms office but they were booked until next week. He decided to do the punch biopsy himself. He said if it is cancerous that we could hear back as early as tomorrow. Otherwise, if it's something goofy, I may not hear until next week. I am really praying for goofy.

I am pretty nervous. I know if I need to begin tx again that I will do whatever is necessary. It just really really stinks.

Hugs and Prayers,
Lexi

Hi Mary,

Thanks for thinking of me. The red rash is still there. When i woke up this am I immediately went to the the mirror. It seemed lighter. I was pretty excited. However, after getting ready for church, I looked again and it is reddish/purple and looks the same. Still scared. I will call my pcp tomorrow and hope to hear some good news.
