Hey Barb,

I'm doing all right on the doxil. I like only have to go in 1x per month. I have a slight rash that is annoying but  so far tolerable. This past infusion I had a pretty bad headache for a few days that tylenol didn't help. I also had a neulasta shot this time since my counts were low so I'm not sure which drug caused the problem.

I had the third one two weeks ago. The 2nd & 3rd were a reduced dose because of liver results on pre-chemo blood test. Dr W (oncologist) says either the cancer or the chemo could be causing the elevated liver readings. I guess after the scan I will know which it is.

Hi all, figured I'd bump this thread with an update. So last month, my rash was very severe. Terrible. So far so good this month which I'm hoping is the norm becasue I think Doxil may be working for me. I feel really good and my tumor markers went from 300 in January to 120 last week. I'm due for a scan so I'm hoping those liver mets will have regressed.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

I'm going into my second treatment of the Red Devil on Friday. The first treatment was brutal after days 5-11. Then the home care suggested rehydration... what a relief. They do it at my home and it takes about 4 hours, but takes the nausea and headache away completely. I have a standing order for the health nurses to come in whenever I want to rehydrate me. So I don't have to wait hours in ER.
