Sorry for making second topic but this is very important for me. Like I wrote in my first topic - my redness came one day quite sudden, it was very itches, burns, litlle warmer (not very hot) and very large (less then half was on my body, and more then half on my brest in lower part) it was pink/red, very regular oval shape.I only used ointment for babies (wich I'm usually using for my younger daughter) and after one day redness was much smaller and less red, after two days it was little and light brown and at the end skin descending from this place. After 3 days there was only little sign and later there was no sign. There was no orange pill, no swelling. The only one thing - that brest is a little bit larger then it was. Very little and it is still like this.

After 4-5 weeks redness came back. Sudenlly - like before. I used the same ointment and next day I went to the doctor (redness was much smaller again) and he told me it is just allergy for detergent or too tiny bra. He gave me ointment with steroids and vitamin A. One day later redness was even smaller and next day smaller and lighter, now it's almost gone. I feel itches in this breast, little pain under breast (where there was a rash) but my breast is no worm, it's soft, looks normal as usually.Only little biger then it was but it's hard to see for the doctor beacuse this breast was little smaler thet the other before and now it's the same. So I can see it's little biger, but for doctor I have very symmetrical breasts.

I know all symptoms, but I'm looking for answer if  anyone had redness/rash which came and comletely gone and back after few weeks and gone away again.

Yestrday I was at the oncologist. He told me that it can't be IBC because in this cancer redness never goes away and comes back. I have no enlarged lymph nodes, I have no redness now. But still I feel uncomfortable beacuse that breast itches, and a little bit hurt. It hurts under my arm and shoulder (not very much but I feel it almost all the time) And why it's a little biger now? Why only one breast?

On Thursday I have an appointment with another oncologist - a friend of the family (old friend my mother in low) I think he can hear me more closely. Maybe if I'll tell him that there was examples of the redness disappears and return, maybe if I'll print for him  examples of patients with these symptoms he give me a referral for biopsy. In Poland I can do biopsy in private clinic, it's even not expensive but I need a referral from the oncologist. I have to convice him! Mybe it's really nothing serious but what if it is??

really sorry if my english is strange and difficult to read an if there are grammar and spelling mistakes - I'm doing my best

Please if you had simillar symtptoms - answer me!

Aga

Hi Aga, Sorry you are having these problems. I did not have what you are describing, but I know there are women on here who have. Hopefully they will come along soon and answer your questions. They did have the reddness come and go. Mine only went away with anti-biotics. After I was done with the anti-biotics it came back. If this new oncologist is a friend of your mothers, maybe she can help convince him to let you get a biopsy. Just tell him you are worried it's IBC and that for your own piece of mind. A biopsy will confirm or deny. Good luck, (((HUGS))). Leisa

Thank you for answer, it seems to me that I've seen here story similar like mine, but It was unsure if it is IBC. I hoped that someone with similar symptoms and diagnosed IBC will write.

In the meantime I found on the pages of medical information that unfortunatelly redness may come and go :( I hoped that it never can look like this. But it can - now I know. I really hope that the oncologist will treat me seriously tommorow.

I have a rash that comes and goes on my abdomen and sides.  It is a fine rash that itches.  I figured it was an inflammatory reaction to something... I take Tomaxifen and Zoladex...

Hi, my mother has the same symptoms also and I'd like to know what happened with you and what they diagnosed.

My mother is a breast cancer survivor for 10years now. Her breast was not removed and the cancer was barely stage 1 and had not progressed anywhere. The biopsy itself removed all the cancer and when they actually went for removal there was nearly nothing left to remove. She was extreamly lucky. They gave her radiotherapy (6mnth) and hormone sepresent medication (5 years).

One month ago her full breast became red, swollen, hot, itchy all in the same day from morning to night. We rushed to the hospital and they said it was an infection and they gave her antibiotics for 2 weeks. Her blood tests were negative for any signs. In one day the redness completely went away. After two weeks they scheduled an MRI with contrast just to make sure. They found nothing in the MRI, but on the same day when she got home the symptoms came back just like the first time. We went back to the hospital and they wanted to give her more antibiotics but she refused indicating that maybe the redness was going away on is own. She spent the night in the hospital and the blood tests again came back negative. By morning the redness completley vanished. We transfered her to a cancer breast clinic associated with John Hopkins and they did an additional ultrasound and mamogram and came back with the diagnosis that she is fine. They noticed fluid buildup under her skin but said there was nothing to worry about. They asked for a follow up ultrasound in a few months and for a follow up appointment. Her full left side (arm, breast leg) hurts continuously and she is over weight. Was wondering if you could let me know what your diagnosis was as it sounds like you have very similar symptoms.

Thanx

I get this kind of rash every now and then. I am overweight and I'm sure it is caused by sweat under the breast. It is a big oval rash..a little painful and warm, half on the bottom part of the breast and half on the belly where the breast rests. I also get this under my tummy on one side where I have a scar from an operation. It usually gets worse when I try to wipe it down with a tissue so I use a wet wipe to clean that area when it seems wet from sweat. It usually is gone in a day. But...if it is something that persist be sure to go to the doctor since a rash can be a caused by breast cancer..but it also can be so many other things. Better to be safe and just ask a professional.
