Cute, funny story time!

So my husband and I were curled up with his head on my chest on my mastectomy side. "This is pretty nice. It's like you made a special space for me." It was actually super-sweet, and such a confirmation that he loves my body no matter what it looks like.

He also admitted that he was always - well, not so much worried, as hyper-aware - of squishing me when I had both breasts. He finds my flat side more supportive to cuddle up against.

Miriandra: My adult son said the same to me. He told me it’s like a hug feels so much closer to me now. I didn’t have much to keep us apart before, but I felt that was sweet. My husband always cuddles in on that side too. Who ever would have thought.
