Hi KansasTeacher - If you're scheduled for a biopsy after the diagnostic mammo, then yes, you'll have the biopsy if they find anything suspicious.It sounds like they've already found something suspicious, so this mammo is for diagnostic purposes only, to do the biopsy.
Some places will be able to give you some preliminary results immediately. Some places don't. You can most definitely request it and see what they say.
More than 80% of findings wind up being benign. I'll be praying that yours falls in the 80% category.
