I want Trump locked up and made a roommate of Harvey Weinstein because they deserve each other, have SO much in common, and their view of women is the same: women are prey.
DogMomRunner, even the thought of calling on the "faithless electors" idea makes me ill... I think Trump and the shit-faced GOP that supports him will literally try ANYTHING but I don't think it will gain much traction because the grounds needed for such a drastic action aren't there---there's been no evidence of fraud in the election.
That said, my fingers are still crossed....

OMG Trill! I haven’t been to this site in a long time. Last personal message exchange with you was long ago, too. A friend of mine just got diagnosed with uterine cancer, and I was remembering this site and how helpful it was when I was going thru treatment. To my amazement, when I finally remembered the site name, I actually remembered my login name and password! What a surprise to find you active again! Last I heard from you, you had kinda retired from this site. So happy to see you again!!!
Check your friend messages and I’ll send my contact info. Don’t want to lose you again!
And yes, 2020 goes down as the weirdest year ever, indeed! I’m too excited to scroll thru your posts before I message you, so forgive me for not being on topic.
So good to see you again

Yes, I returned here as things heated up and the election drew near....I didn't think the Trump administration could get any worse and then Covid hit and their actions--and inactions--became, to me, criminal. And now that he's lost, they are doing even WORSE than that! This is like a limbo game where the bamboo pole keeps getting lowered and a ditch has to be dug to accommodate its descent...all the way to hell! Which is where these guys BELONG!!!
OK, will check pms......

The elector situation is possible, and frightening as hell. trump and his cronies will do anything to win. The whole situation has exposed so many weaknesses in our constitution. The whole system relies on the goodness and patriotism of the participants, like a gentleman’s agreement that trump has thrown in the trash, laughing at the stupidity of the assumption that politicians have the best interests of the people at the top of their agendas. He thinks we are all fools. And shockingly, half the country believes in him.

So Trump is entertaining a couple of Michigan officials ( one of which may not have showed up ) in the hopes that they will somehow find a way to GIVE him votes he did not earn. Nothing too new in that. It is one of Trump's bad habits as in stiffing people he owes money to on some shoddy half-baked excuse. So, stealing votes - or having them cancelled - whichever way you wish to use the term would be perfectly in line for him. I just don't think that is doable in this case. It hasn't been likely in any of the swing states or any state ( thinking Georgia here ) that was close. Biden blew Trump out of the water and nothing so painfully transparent could take place.
You know, it sounded like Trump had all sorts of people lined up to go to war for him if he lost. Not saying some odd people at some point might not try something, but he did lose and fairly resoundingly and so far not much is happening. Seems to me that all along a lot may have been predicated on the fact that the election ( if Biden did win ) would be much, much closer. It would be one thing if it were a whole lot closer. You could balance some risk on that. Maybe it is because our side did NOT lose, but seems to me you'd have to be totally out of your mind to do anything on Trump's behalf at this point. My view 150% risk with less than zero benefit to anyone. Is going to jail and losing your freedom for one of the world's biggest losers worth it ? I sure can't see it.
