Obama's speech was AWESOME!!! I have missed him so much!! and "Beijing Barry" Totally! You know that would happen.

Great memes, everyone.

I must recommend this book to you. I am a big fan of Carl Hiaasen, and his latest book is a total winner. It's called "Squeeze Me", and as they say in the blurb: "It perfectly captures the absurdity of our times." It takes place mostly at the "winter White House" in Palm Beach where the President is referred to by the Secret Service as "The mastodon" and is having an affair with a stripper and Melania is "The mockingbird" and is having an affair with a Secret Service agent. It is a riot.

glennie,

I’ll watch Obama’s speech later. It will so hard to see an intelligent, articulate, caring man speaking knowing that what we have in the White House today couldn’t even hold a candle to him.

I have read and enjoyed many Carl Hiassen books. I’ll have to check that one out.

Thanks for that link, Glennie. Great info on early voting by state and by party. In my state, California. 20+ % of registered voters have already turned in their ballots. Including me! 25% of Democrats and less than 20% of Republicans. Go Blue!

Good article.....

A snippet....

(CNN)The doomsday scenario of lawyers and judges setting surprise terms for voting or even deciding the election this year has loomed large. Yet that likelihood is diminishing by the day, several elections law experts say, with the terms for voting already essentially set in many states and a calm coming over the courts in pre-Election Day litigation.

The focus on courts has been extreme at times this year, especially with Preside
