I saw the onco and got an ultrasound today. They said I have a solid mass. Not sure what it is, but I have an appt with the breast surgeon on Monday. Should get a biopsy on Tuesday. God I hate this disease. I thought it was over. I hope it is.

Hey Kittycat,
I really hope they can get some news to you soon, sorry to hear you are going through this. I hate this disease too. Hang in there, I had to wait about 4 weeks after first finding the lump to get a diagnosis, I had an ultrasound and two needle aspirations. The waiting is hard-send some posts if you need to talk. There is also a great discussion called "The Waiting Room", it is in the "Not Diagnosed with recurrence or mestastases but concerned" discussion group. It's great, a lot of women have posted on it and there are a lot of positive results, most of the lumps women find are B9-you will be one of them! Take care, I'll be thinking of you :)
Hey Balsie,
Good luck on Monday, I hope it is nothing, and if they do have to do tests, keep your chin up, I hear that 80% of all lumps found are B9. I do not have a treatment plan yet, I met with a surgical oncologist on Friday and he did not have my CT scan results back-I can't have an MRI because of the metal component in my expanders. My tumour is imbeded in muscle above my right breast, in my lymph nodes. It is large and is restricting me from moving my arm, so he thinks it may be too invasive to just do surgery and remove it. He thinks I will need chemo and radiation. I have to wait until Tuesday to find out. I just want to get the ball rolling on this. I don't have to have my implant removed due to the location of the tumour, I don't know if they do that. It's so hard when you are waiting, I self diagnosed a lot but you really won't know the answers until you get them from your Doctors. It is just the waiting game that bites. Please let us know what happens and good luck!
Kristian :)

I am so glad that I found this site. I have to say you are a brave an encouraging group. I am so sorry for those that are going through this. I had a biopsy last Wednesday and am awaiting the results. I was hoping they would call Friday and I am sitting here debating making the call. They found a 3cm lump in the left axilla. I have had bmx in 2007, 8 rounds of chemo and unfinished reconstruction due to insurance complications. My husband of 26 years who is chronically ill left me and my boys 3 weeks ago. Enough is enough. The dr's tried to do the "nothing to worry about" but then said I need to see the oncologist. I am trying to be positive because I am by nature. I am overwhelmed and it is nice to talk to other women that understand. Thanks and you are all in my thought. :-)

He didn't seem to be to worried about it but at the same time wanted to be sure...depending the outcome of that he will have it biopsied. I am thinking positive.
Hope all is well for all~

Good thoughts going your way....
ps. I *HATE* cancer. period. No matter the stage. And people who think DCIS isn't "real" cancer should REALLY learn what they are talking about.

Beckymom - I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. You've got so much going on, but I admire your tenacity to move forward and fight this! You have a great attitude!
Balsie - I really hope you have good news. Good luck with your ultrasound. I hope it's nothing!
Lisa - I hear you on the cancer thing. My gyn onco said to me that some doctors don't even consider DCIS cancer. He does, but he said the good part of it is that I qualified for a drug trial for osteoporosis. After spending the day in full blown surgery to excise 3 lumps 8 months after my bmx. Hopefully it's not cancer, but all of will always have that higher risk of cancer, even at lower stages.

I've had a lot of pain in my 'cancerous boob' the last few days. I'm hoping that's normal. Don't go to oncologist until May. Someone said it may be nerves growing back. I'm hoping!
