I had a scare last August, same breast and spot. I had a mx and reconstruction it turned out to be fat necrosis.

I had to have a biopsy which determined it was fat necrosis.

My biggest decision is to have a double mastectomy, single or possibly a lumpectomy again. I am leaning towards the double mastectomy with no reconstruction. good luck whatever you decide. I am at 5.5 years NED with one ILC and one IDC, I am off AI drugs now. I feel better but worry about recurrence.

Sometimes I think the slow growing cancers are harder to knock out.

Kira, I'm so sorry that you are going through this again. I had a new primary in 2015 in my other breast after five years from the first bc. I wanted a double mx the first time and was refused.

I now have had both breasts removed, and no reconstruction. Interestingly for me, the first bc was one area of ILC and a bigger IDC. The IDC was triple positive, and five years later the new primary in the other breast was triple negative.

It's good that your new one is a low grade. ((((hugs)))) to you.
