Could it have anything to do with what side we sleep on?

I use to sleep on that part of my breast.

Hi Deanna- It was just a chart of where BC occur - not an article.

When I was DX I researched sides.  left is 55% & Right is 45% (If I recall)

I suppose we should keep track of that too!

Left brease, centered under areola but all the way to the muscle wall.  On the original mamo they had to do it over several times because they couldn't get enough of me in the paddles to see all of the microcalcifications.  Not real fun!!  Getting that wire inserted before surgery meant one of the nursed had to get under the machine, reaching up to get me positioned.  We were actually laughing at it all.  (Not too hard, didn't want to move that wire!)  They went in through the side of the breast with the wire, I think, then put paper cups over the wire so it wouldn't get bumped.  Weird.

Dejaboo ~  That chart is fascinating!  What struck me is that the incidence lessens as you move away from the underarm.  That mid-range is fairly consistent, then the inner lower quadrant markedly less.     Deanna
