cindyny, lovely pictures! The PET scan went well, thank you for asking. It was easy other than the fact I was hungry. The tech did such a good job with the needle jab I didn't even feel it, and there is no mark to even see where he took the blood in the arm. The results came back within a few hours and it is good news. The report said
1. Favorable treatment response with similar to slightly decreased metabolic activity of osseous metastatic disease. (bones)
2. Unchanged hepatic metastatic disease. (liver)
3. No new metastatic disease. (anywhere)So basically, the chemo is doing its job. I didn't expect this, but I'll take it! Today I had an infusion, and other than needing Cathflo in the port which added an extra half hour because my port wouldn't draw blood, it went well and I had one of my favorite nurses. I don't use the port for the PET scan and let them draw blood through my arm as I know that lab (different hospital) and for them to go get a nurse to access the port just to add the radioactive material takes a long time and is just not worth it. This way it only takes 5 minutes. I am blessed I can use both.
I came home this afternoon and promptly took a nap. I feel pretty good right now.

@intolight - A big congratulations on the positive PET results. That's wonderful!

Cindy - your fall colors are beautiful. Ours seem muted and drab this year - perhaps due to our strange weather.
Intolight - wonderful news on the PET scan. Glad you were able to take a nap after your infusion.

Wonderful news on the PET scan!
Lovely color in the photos. I would enjoy that walk, Cindy.
I did more yard work yesterday, rescuing rose bushes from vines and pulling some weeds. Light pruning to shape the knockout rose bushes. In the house the demolition took place. ALL the pergo flooring was ripped out. Fortunately, where pergo flooring meets carpet the seepage had NOT continued under the carpet. Now we have bare concrete partially covered with a large dehumidifier and multiple fans. When all are operating, the noise is too much for even older ears. I turned everything off yesterday afternoon. During the night we ran the dehumidifier, which is the most important machine. We'll have to live with these machines until Thursday. By then, hopefully, the concrete will be completely dry.
When I leave today to go to senior exercise, I'll turn on all the fans and flee. After exercise I'll go to lunch since it's Wednesday lunch with a few gym friends.
It could always be worse. With some perseverance, we'll survive this trial.
Happy Wednesday to all.

Intolight, great news on your PET!
Carole, it’s great the water didn’t get to your carpet. Blasting those machines while you’re out is the best bet. Do you need to pick out new flooring?
I ran to BJ’s to get gas, fill it up for a trip this evening. Yesterday it was $3.75, today is $3.79! My postponing it cost me $.
We’re going to Stockbridge, MA tonight for the Naumkeag pumpkin show. I went last year with 3 gf and loved it. This year I’m getting my SO, niece & her daughter to go. As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to get my GN over there. I hope she loves it.
I stopped at Nothing Bundt Cakes to grab little ones for our trip over tonight. Although as the driver, I’ll eat mine before we go. HA! Benefits for the driver.

Good morning. My eye doctor's practice was bought by another doctor. My visit was not positive. Check in was disorganized. An unhappy patient was giving the front desk a hard time. The tech I had was in training. She mixed up my right and left eyes and argued with me as to which was which. She didn't get the idea when she is facing me her right is my left. So then she started calling me sweetie. (I hate that) When I finally saw the doctor it went well. After I got home I had a message inviting me to take a survey on the care. I responded with the above response. I didn't realize they would know who I was. LOL. They did and called me. I told them I had been in Healthcare management a long time and gave them suggestions regarding orientation for new employees and ways to stream line check in. I may have to find a new eye doctor. LOL
