Chemotherapy and Parkinson’s Disease

Hi, I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma in July 2024 and just had a lumpectomy on August 21st. I’m waiting to get the results of my oncotype to determine whether chemotherapy is recommended or not. I’m preparing for the response. My miotic rate was high, 3 of 3 and ki67 was 47%. I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2021 and am concerned about how chemotherapy will advance the Parkinson’s disease. Does anyone have any experience with PD and chemotherapy? Did it cause progression of PD symptoms? Would you do chemotherapy again or decline and take the chance on reoccurrence of cancer?

Hello, I have talked to my oncologist about it. He didn’t have much information to give and I have an appointment with my neurologist scheduled to discuss it as well. I was just wondering if there was anyone who may have been in this situation and what their experience was.
