Finding 4: Left breast asymmetries likely correlate with following probable benign lesions: -Left breast 3:00, 7 cm from the nipple 20 mm nodule -Left breast 3:00, 3 cm from the nipple 8 mm cluster of complicated cysts -Left breast 4:00, 3 cm from the nipple 12 mm complicated cyst/nodule -Left breast 8:00, 2 cm from the nipple 10 mm nodule -Left breast 9:00, 4 cm from the nipple 10 mm nodule -Left breast 10:00, 7 cm from the nipple 33 mm cluster of complicated cysts.
Was assessed as bi rads2?
I asked for a 2nd opinion and was denied. ? Should I be worried?

Hi @soul4riogmail.com, Did you have both a mammogram and an ultrasound? While radiologists can tell that lesions are probably cysts by their shape and smooth edges on a mammogram an ultrasound is more definitive because it shows the fluid in the mass. BIRADS2 means there is a less than 2% chance of malignancy but that doesn’t mean 0%. See if the doctor who ordered the mammogram would ask the radiologist what he thinks the “probable benign” non cyst lesions are.
Would your insurance pay for a second opinion if you sent a CD of the imaging to a breast radiologist at another hospital? I was given a BIRADS2 after a mammogram callback and on my next mammogram a year later. After an oral surgeon told me I must have cancer since I had osteomyelitis of the jawbone another mammogram found suspicious calcifications. At this point I had a 3.2 cm tumor. The radiologist who biopsied it apologized for her colleagues and told me that while mistakes happen two bad reads in a row is very unusual. I haven’t heard of anyone else who had an experience similar to mine but the “probable benign” nodules that are not cysts would make me wonder. I hope you can get an answer. All the best.

Yes, I did have a diagnostic mammogram RE a palpable lump and US. Then a recommendation was to come back in 6 months, for retest. I asked for a second opinion but my doctor said it wasn't necessary and that was that.?
I guess I'm just a little overwhelmed with all the findings. But I am going to ask again and see what happens but I do appreciate you taking the time to reach out to me it's very much appreciated thank you so much
