Honoring my Mother

My mother died of breast cancer 47 years ago, when I was 30. I was diagnosed 2 years ago and had 2 lumpectomies and radiation. I've written a book about her cancer and mine called "Given Time." The title comes from a poem about olives needing time to ripen on the tree to become edible and the cover is Van Gogh's painting of olive trees. This book is a memoir in poetry that celebrates what was special about our lives together. My publisher, Finishing Line Press, is female owned.The press made my book their book of the week this week.
