My mom died of breast cancer in January of 1978, seven years after her diagnosis. I was 30. She was 50. I was diagnosed December of 2022. I've written a book of poetry about her cancer and mine. The poems "talk" to each other. I'm proud to honor her in this way and hope to read from the book throughout the breast cancer community. It's called "Given Time," and will be released by Finishing Line Books (and on amazon) in June. If anyone wants to organize a virtual reading, just contact me. Blessings to you all.
