Hormone suppression
So I was curious of anyone chose to have chemo instead of the hormone suppressor? Or if that is even an option. All the aise effects of that are just as scary as chemo. So is this something I should speak to my oncologist about ?

Hi @beamiracle7, Chemo is given for early stage ER+/HER2- bc only when it will be effective (the cells are dividing quickly enough.) There is a genomic test called the Oncotype dx which analyzes the tumor after pathology to see whether chemo would be recommended. You should ask your oncologist about that. Estrogen blockers are generally recommended for all ER+ tumors whether or not chemo is part of the treatment. While some people have problematic side effects others do not. After the surgical pathology you will be able to ask your oncologist how beneficial estrogen blockers would be in helping prevent a recurrence. That information can help you decide whether taking them is right for you. I hope your treatment goes well.
