    faith, thank you for telling us.  it's sad that spar can't post more than 5 times a day, for some reason.  I think her posts are quite uplifting.  I have a pretty good idea about how this happened.

    Bunnies. I'm up past my bedtime. But I seriously did actually "work" at my fun play. This next recording is seriously MASSIVE, twice the size of anything that I've ever attempted to 'manage' in the past. Now both my eyes and ears are fried. Yikes.

    I think that it's time to jump in the deep end together & splash all over SPAR!!

    Just talked to a friend who is still without their electricity. School was cancelled again today for many -- making the whole week a cancellation for most in the area. We are so fortunate to have been restored our power in the first wave of recoveries. What would I do without my beachie keeners?

    Tonight is our first night of TRUE, genuine, fantastic celebration of good news. May there be many more!!

    Nighty night. We're taking the whole circus act downtown tomorrow morning for an arts fair. I promise to take a key to my house -- to get back in!!

    Sweet dreams, all. Spar -- stay up and light off some fireworks!!

    I'm about 80% better - who knew I could feel so crappy with a cold?   Lots of congestion tho, at least my nose isn't running.  I felt so bad this week that I haven't even looked at our pics from Hawaii.  I'm just scanning because I'm so many pages behind.

    lisa, i couldn't figure out your post to me....until you posted the UCSC sweatshirt!!!  But, i have to ask, is that ugly slug really the mascot for UCSC???? if it is, that is hysterical!!!!

    We bought a banana slug sweatshirt, when we were in Santa Cruz for the oldest kids wedding. My girls were in high school at the time & they wrestled over who'd get to wear it. Guess we needed two!

    I'm so excited. It's ARTS fair day. The weather looks beautiful. We're gonna have 'man-on-man' coverage for the circus act children. WHOOOOOOHOOOOOOO.

    I did recover Julz, but the grand babies will be here tonight. My DIL is going to spend some time with her girlfriends while my son is out of town working this week. She will join him later . So no rest for the weary. LOL

    I know it is hard to take care of two little ones that close in age. So I told her to get out and have a girls night to herself.

    You all are welcome for the sand dollars and the chair. I have to make this post short, got things to do before the children get here.

    Hi beachettes...still overcast and gray down in San Diego,but I know it will clear up for a nice beach day...

    Celia..yes the banana slug is the offical mascot for Santa Cruz..

    (Two of my sons graduated from there)

    and the Padre is the mascot for the Padre baseball team... 

    marylou..good luck babysitting grandkids..I get exhausted ...that is why

     menopause was created..thank goodness....

    They are fun but good to hand back to their Mom and Dad

    Morning to the beachettes!  today i have some fairy tales cast in sand....not sure what the last one is but it looks like some kind of fairy tale to me.

    lisa, i guess i am really glad that i was so busy teaching my classes and doing the 2 hour drive there and back, that i never noticed that the banana slug was the mascot at UCSC.....ugh and truly disgusting!

    i hope everyone has a good day today.....keep smiling and creating positive energy!

    i have lots to do today.

     This is what I tried to post when I got home yesterday but so rudely couldn't, very shocking.

    Beach friends, we left before 6 this morning and just got home a little while ago.  You guys were 

    so funny in my bag.  The nurse shot in the dye and then said, I will be back in one hour.  You guys all crawled out of my bag like a bunch of gremlins with the deck of cards.  You started playing strip poker to amuse my while I waited my hour.  When that poor nurse opened the door nearly all of you were naked and all jumped in my bag so fast, the nurse ask where all these extra clothes came from and I told her well look at me don't I look thinner, it was cold so I dressed like a bag lady and it got hot in here so I took them off and started stuffing them in my bag.  As the nurse walked out the door I hissed at ya'll get them clothes back on!  I could still hear ya'll giggling on the drive home and my husband kept asking me do you hear something?

    Sahalie, my sweet sister that zucchine bread looks so moist and wonderful.  I ate the green frog cookie.  I got up at 2am an had to have a cup of hot chocolate.

    Saint, loved those food pictures, they are so funny.  Also had to get my DH in here last night to show him that happy dance from you.  He is hilarious, he asked is that really her. LOL

    Faith, the way to my heart is with trolls and gnomes and you have found some beauties and I wanted some of those chocolate bons bons so very badly.  You were very naughty with that cabana boy.

    Margo, did the laughing for those minutes help you feel even better.  Hope you are 100% today.

    Sige, where are you we miss your beach finds.

    Jaz, you have got to be missing us just a little, are you painting or working?  We miss you
