Celia, so glad to hear that you've made it thru this phase of the dental road.
Mary Lou, I've been meaning to ask about your grandkiddo's pictured earlier. Are they brother & sister? How far apart in age? Such cutie-patooties.
Julz, we want to see pics of your precious one.
Spar, you've had quite a 'baptism by fire' at your new work.... take some time for yourself asap
Biker babe, we can start a Van Gogh fan club
Lisa, do you have a 'special' setting that you use for the floral close-ups?
hugs up and down the beach.........
back to my house, safe & sound, all is getting better in baby-town

Hi all
Faith.. To take pictures of flowers,I just use the normal settings but what I do is step back from them and use the zoom and focus on just the flower...that way the background is a little out of focus, but the flower is still in focus...like this one

200 pages of LIFE'S A BEACH!...
THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM
By Terry Kettering
There's an elephant in the room.
It is large and squatting,
so it is hard to get around it.
Yet we squeeze by with,
"How are you?" and, "I'm fine,"
and a thousand other forms of trivial chatter.
We talk about the weather;
we talk about work;
we talk about everything else-
except the elephant in the room.
There's an elephant in the room.
We all know it is there.
We are thinking about the elephant
as we talk together.
It is constantly on our minds.
For, you see, it is a very big elephant.
It has hurt us all, but we do not talk about
the elephant in the room.
Oh, please, say her name.
Oh, please, say "Barbara" again.
Oh, please, let's talk about
the elephant in the room.
For if we talk about her death,
perhaps we can talk about her life.
Can I say, "Barbara" to you
and not have you look away?
For if I cannot,
then you are leaving me alone
in a room - with an elephant. We all live w/ that elephant in the room...but together we hold hands, hold faith, hold one another and continue to be strong! Here is to 200 more pages on the LIFE'S A BEACH thread...and I THANK you for not only welcoming me, but each other with open arms!
Much LUV
