I am soooooooooo refreshed to perch on my leather-lobby couch and go surf those beautiful beaches after such a l-o-n-g day!! It was a Murphy's law wack-doodle day for sure. I had a VERY big room across the street in the convention center, not even half-filled (cuz people wouldn't cross the street???) then I packed and unpacked all of it for a second presentation here in the hotel. In a very small room that seated 70..... we had every chair filled 10 minutes BEFORE tip-off. There were people sitting on every square inch of floor space, standing in the door way and on down the hall....... go figure. We had such a good time, so much laughter & singing that the hall monitor asked if we could 'keep it down.' LOL. Isn't that the whole point?? The having a good time.... duh.
I have one more presentation and that's tomorrow. It's in a 'ballroom' sized space AND in this building. Time will tell, as it's the first session @ 8:00..... hope they roll outta bed in the big city.
It's been a long time since I've done one of these 'independant' gigs and as a newcomer here, ya take what you are given -- with a smile of course.
Just LOVE coming on and finding all of the glorious pics and splashy friendships that continue to deepen and grow as we weather new adventures together. This is a unique crew & I 'treasure' the fact that we're able to integrate new buddies with ease.
Make new friends, but keep thee old.
Some are silver and the others gold.
I feel so fortunate to get to travel in the midst of such good company!!
Hugs and encouragement to all who are going thru challenges.
Know that we are here for you.

Good luck tomorrow with the early morning presentation. Perhaps promising what hubby and I refer to as "the big breakfast" would help.
0 -
Hey Faith....maybe Sharon's right. I'll even come if you're serving a big breakfast

0 -
ON MY WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
0 -
Hows about the two of you come and cook for whoever shows up??
we'll put fans in the hallway to push the home-cookin' smell up the elevator shafts
I may go out on the street corner and show a little leg, if the room's only partially filled & I'm ready to go... I think your pancake promise may just be the ticket!!

or if Kermit is there......even MORE people would come

Well girlie, girl-friends I just had a brilliant idea.
I'm gonna go 'draw a hot, steamy bath' and soak my wearie-dearie self into a big prune.
Then I'm gonna read this new devotional book I brought along......
And then I'm gonna borrow sharon's chickens and turn in early.
So glad that I could catch up a bit.
I honestly don't think I'll be on at all tomorrow.
What with the early mornin' leg-showin' and then all that drivin' ahead.
Keep each other in good spirits and good company.
Enormous hugs and prayers to all who are being challenged.

It could even be 36 hours..... start your stop watches. LOL.
The giraffe picture above is one very similar to a photo in my upcoming book, "Tall Giraffe"
My neice and her buddies took pictures in Africa during their mission trip.
We are now about 6 to 8 weeks from having the books in my warehouse: whooooohooooo.
We'll have a party when that happens!!
But just seeing the pic makes me think it's possible.
Prunie bathtub, here I come.
hugs to each and all.

Oh beachettes! I feel so much better today! I went and got hydrated yesterday at the Cancer Hospital. I woke up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat and felt like I could not breath very well, but later when it was morning, I got up and took a shower. I have not taken a shower (only baths) for months and it made me feel a little human that I could stand up long enough without toppling.
When I saw my pain doctor today, she prescribed an arsenal of pain meds and constipation meds to counteract the pain meds. Just seeing her detailed plan, made me feel better.
After seeing my doctor, my bco friend, Cheryl, was having a new chemo starting today. I had never met in her person, so I went and found her and we visited for over an hour. I think that really made me feel better. She is a lovely person, and she is toying with the idea of coming to the beach! (neat little pun, huh?)
When I got home I sat up for the first time in days and got out my laptop, yeah! I have been on the laptop in the last week, just not in an upright position. My mother came over and made me tilapia fish, asparagus, and yam. I actually felt like I had a little appetite. Which is good, since I found out today that I had lost 4 more pounds.
So nice to be able to tune into the beach and see the gorgeous photos (espec. liked Jules photos of yesterday(?) and Coonie's photo of what looked to be a baby Annie dog!
So I think the power of prayer and lack of chemo have intervened to make me feel better! If I can feel this good come 3/24, then Hawaii will truly be pure joy for me.
