    Happy Belated Birthday Lisa!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, I am so mad at myself that I missed it Frown

I have to tell you, I was under photobucket.com looking for the most perfect picture for you. i though, hummmmm, I will type "stripper" to see if I can get some man simulating taking his clothes off for you...... nothing dirty, just something funny, right? So, I typed in "stripper" and I get the response "Photobucket does not host sexually explicit content......blah blah blah". Oh MY!!! I was waiting for the cops to come knocking on my door, honest officer, it was an innocent gesture!!!EmbarassedI am probably banned from it now!

Anyway, hope you had a GREAT birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Love and HUGS!!

Good morning Beach Babes!  Happy St. Patrick's Day.

Toyful, keeping you in my prayers that things get better for you soon.  Gentle Hugs.

Checkum, I'm so happy to see you back.  I hope things are improving for you daily.  I have all your squares bordered now.  and a few rows done.

Curlieqs, good morning to you.  That is pretty funny about getting a photobucket hand slap.  I'll keep a look out for the coppers for ya.

Good morning to Lisa, Coonie, Sharon, and all the other early birds.

Off to get the coffee started...

Okay, this is freaky.  My post posted twice but not in a row.  Sharon, I think it is Julz having problems.  She's hoping to be back by Wednesday.  Hugs to our Julz of the Beach.

Hi all, I get the dreaded red x on the above picture Jaz.  What is it, I know it is something grand.

Have been making book marks this morning and finished my hat will post a picture later, my camera batteries are recharging.

So glad to see checkum slowing making her way back to the beach.  be careful my friend, it doesn't pay to over do.

Didn't get my knitting lesson this morning because of spring break her dear husband is off and they are going to do day trips to enjoy okla.

Am fixing to go get my granddaughter soon as dh gets my oil changed. this place will be lively the rest of this week and also cuts down on my computer time.  She likes to play the barbie and bratz games on the computer and go to disney.com.

Hope all is well, toyful, please don't forget to pack me.

Don't ya just hate when you find a great pic and then it turns into a red X and a big blank?  LOL, I guess that's what we get for using other's picsWink  I find if that happens you can usually post the little pic successfully just off the Google page.

Sharon, it is annoying.  I'm sure I could probably store it in my photobucket album and use it from there and not have the problem but I tend to be too lazy to go through all that process.  That is a good tip about using the thumbnail instead.

    Beachie Bunnies.....

I am at a new milestone. This is post number 4,000 for me.

Strangely enough, I'm also poised on the brink of my 2nd 'cancer-versary' which comes day after tomorrow.

These two events colliding in my little psyche have really had me introspective today.

My family & friends ask why I stick around BCO??? "Run for the hills" their typical refrain.

So I've spent much of today pondering what to say in # 4000.

This site took me thru the sleepless nights & uninformed fear to where-ever it is I've evolved.

You have come to symbolize the hands extended in friendship that have helped me along, carrying me at times. It is thru this second year that I have been able to frame my 'DCIS story' into the proper perscpective, by observing the quiet dignity, the persevering spirit and the tough tenacity of so many women -- expected to carry such a heavy load. And I am humbled. Deeply and completely humbled.

I have felt a 'responsibility' of sorts to hang around and sprinkle whatever joy I can into the equation.

You have been my lifeline as I moved past diagnosis and moved into happily-ever-after and then ...... oops, there is that set of dark-clouds-on-the-horizon-after-all nonsense. (Thud.)

I just want you to know how much you've all meant to me..... how much you mean to me.

    Collectively. Individually.

    Appreciation.

    Gratitude.

    Kindness.

    Support.

Letters tied together forming appropriate words on your screen-- but so very inadequate to the task of saying thank you with the level of heart-felt sincerity that I wish I could convey.

Over the past year as I have lovingly dipped my toes at beach's edge -- I have soaked up the images, the hilarity, the encouragement, the sorrow, the nonsense and the friendship as a sailor parched for drinking water. It's a challenge for me to explain the lifeline that you've been. Yet I attempt to say thank you, when those words seem so completely insignificant in the face of my debt to this site and this thread in particular.

a very sincere and heart felt thanks to one and all. .....

Faith, I understand completely!  I wish you all the best in life and a happy future.  You have so many good things on the horizon and I couldn't be happier for you.  We'll save your flip flops and favorite chair for the occasional visit should you check in from time to time.  Gentle hugs!

    HOLD THE PRESSES.........

I know that words are inadequate, but I didn't mean to infer I was leaving the beach, just that I was reflecting on how meaningful this hallowed place continues to be for me.

Now that this is post #4001, I don't even feel the need to be reflective.

Polka-dots, flip-flops, beach towels, cabana boys, tropical drinks, sunsets, et. al.

I've renewed my membership for another year!!

OH THANK HEAVENS!   I'm so sorry, just consider it lousy multitasking skills today.  I skimmed and saw 'milestone', 'canciversary'.  I'm so so sorry!  and so so happy that I was misunderstood.

Faith, that was soooooo nice what you posted! Happy 2 year! I personally am glad you hang around. I love reading your posts and you are very uplifting. You make a difference big time! So, no pressure or anything...........I hope you never leave!!  As far as me not posting my pic anymore? LOL, I guess I might be shallow for saying I am sickened by the way I look now and that pic was a constant reminder of what "I used to look like". I realize I may NEVER look like that again and that saddens me. Yes, looks are superficial and blah blah blah. But, the red curly hair WAS ME. That was my thing, "the girl with the long red curly hair.........". Now I am just, "the bald girl, you know, the one who has cancer.........". My hair is strangely growing on Taxol but it is NOTHING like it was. it is about 1 inch long, brown, straight. It resembles that of an old man's toupee. My onc doc says my hair will grow back, "if I ever get off Taxol". Not the only reason i want to get off taxol, I do not want to be misunderstood. I just want to be normal again is all.

LOL Sharon at the "paint stripper", I could use that excuse ya know! That would work! So far, no one came ringing my door bell ready to haul me away..........not yet...........am I paranoid? Hahaha, only kidding!

Happy St patty's Day all! Hey Toy, thinking of you and your tree!!!

Have a wonderful evening to you all!

First I saw Curlie getting locked up for pornTongue out (really officer, I'm just needing some paint stripper)!!!.....and then read Faith's beautiful "letter" to everyone and then something about leaving her flip flops out for when she comes back!!!!Surprised PHEW!!!!!!!!! So glad to read the final print on that PRESS RELEASE!! Your membership has been RENEWED madam. You are not only an inspiration to me, but I know you are to many others on these boards. The good Lord put you on these boards for a purpose (and it may be just for me) but you abide by the "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" rule!! Is somebody gonna bail Curlie out of jail?? That's so funny Curlie!! Sharon was going after a minor yesterday!! Us poor BC ladies are just no good scoundrels, huh?

(((((((Toy, Checkum, Footie, Dream, Mary-Lou)))))) big hugs for all of you. Hope you're finding the strength and courage you need today. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Starting to pack for Hawaii........ CAN'T WAIT!!
