Sorry to see budders and Laura with their sleeves, but it is another healing process and getting a therapist Buddy as Laura and Lisa.. suggest has to help in alleviating the pain and get it to a more healing place. Just let me know, if you have Rose McCarthy on your approved list! She was great for me .

Good Saturday morning to all. Waiting for a big rain storm. Hope I have a good period to feed the cats. Otherwise -- same o -- same o here. I had high hopes of sleeping in but at a certain time -- these animals that live here who I know can't tell time....insist that its time to get up. They are all lucky to be alive, or at least that is what I tell them -- I'm sure it falls on deaf ears as they hear the smile in my voice as I say it. Sigh !!!! I can't fool them, they know they are in charge here.
Loved seeing the pics from yesterday. How great that you could get together.
Hope you all have a great day. Rita....don't know if you will get any of this, but hope not too many have to get it. So far.....despite some dire possibilities we have not gotten much of anything....so -- today may make up for that. We shall see. I'll be checking back later. See you all then.

Glad you have answers, Blackjack, and VERY GLAD it is fixable. Will PT fix it? Now, have a shot of orange juice and move that cold out of you. I know there are a lot of bugs going on. I never remember a year with so many coughing kids. I swear, they have to leave the room they are coughing so badly...like turning colors. I always feel for the kid who sits next to them or at the desk for the next class.
So have a good weekend. Big birthday party for Dh and my son-in-law tomorrow!

Hi All. Thanks for the birthday wishes. I came home from the hospital yesterday. Home health nurse came today and said I am doing very well. My sister has been taking very good care of me. She's been helping with the drains, showering so I wouldn't get the incision wet. My arm pit is the area that is the most painful. The doctor said that he got clear margins and that he doesn't think the lymph nodes had cancer but we have to wait for the path rpt which comes out Monday or Tues. I'm so excited - I didn't think I'd be doing this well. I'm still taking it easy, though. Resting when my body is telling me to rest. Only doing small activities like reading and being on the interenet.

Laura, glad you are enjoying your job. I didn't realize that you were taking pictures. Now that sounds like fun. Mary Jane is a super photographer. She took pictures at my son's wedding that were better than those by the professional photographer.
Well, Dave hs gone to play 9 holes of golf but I opted out because the weather looks a little "iffy" and I don't really want to get soaked. We spent the morning hitting the yard sales and found some really good "I Can Read" books for my grandson and some other treasures! LOL
I'm off to kick up my feet and just relax. I hope everyone is doing well today and enjoying the weekend.

Rita, the cat is just fine now. My daughter, the organic, totally "be green" person, took care of the cat while we were away and brought over some new organic cat food that she got from Whole Foods Well, her cat who got the same food also had the sickness so maybe the diet change was not good for them. I am so grateful to Jackie and you and all the rest who walked me through this.
So little is happenign in my life right now what with this weather! I hate it. I did go to Lowes and got plants; two for one on herbs, painsies and impatiences. I think they are worried of a frost and so are pushing them on. So they sit in my garage.
B-day party is tomorrow. Paul loves to cook so he insisted on cooking for his own party (son-in-law too). I am at the point that I do not argue and I just let him do what he loves to do. The girls are bringing the cakes and I get to do a pasta salad.....should be good.
Bless all of you in treatment. Carolyn, I am so glad you are home and safe with your sister. Sisters are the best, or can be. I am thrilled that my two girls love each other so much now.....it is a special relationship I never had myself and would have loved. There were those fights when they were growing up, tho, oh yes, there were those fights.

Just a bit of a quick hi. We did not get the wind and storms, though did have two or three little pour downs. Not sure what is on for tomorrow, but we visited some friends and there were some stars out --- anyone that may know, help me out here. I thought I read or heard somewhere that if stars are out....it won't rain. I thought stars were always out --- but when it rained there were too many clouds to see them. I should have studied a little harder in astronomy class.
Dh has the next three days off. I wonder if that means that I'm not going to get much done. I hope you are all going to have a great Sunday -- especially all of you with that bug/flu thing. I am hoping a 24 hour cycle will see at least a couple of you feeling better. See you all in the morning.

The shoes I wore on Friday, was the first time I put it on since I got it and I am loving it~!!
I can still run after my kids with that shoes.. Well, not much going on with me since DH is going back to work tonight and gotta put the kids to nap....

My physical therapy for my right arm/shoulder is going really well, but now my right neck has been bothering me. I think getting that extra range of motion back in my shoulder area is having some extended effects. Oh, well, not complaining. I'm just happy to be having a lot less pain in that arm.
BJ - Sorry to hear you've been under the weather lately! I hope you're doing better. And NO, I haven't done any of the painting yet. It's still on that ever-present list of things-to-do though.

Working double-time this week since my partner is on vacation. I'm still not sure if I can make the Wed. get-together. I'd like to, but I may have to change one of my PT appointments to that evening after I finish work. I'm so short of time this week. I hope it's okay if I give a tentative yes?
Back to being productive... or maybe just laying around and watching some old movies on TV.

I see that you are not Buddy. That looks really difficult to have going on. Everything we do is done with our hands. Something I venture to say the majority of us don't consider all that much. I can well see that you have to think about it rather constantly. I'm sorry that is going on in your life and I sure wish it weren't --- but I do recall the story about things not being what they seemed. The moral of the story turned out to be that some "losses" are not as bad as they could be -- if you knew how much worse something else was, but we are only human -- what is happening to us that prevents us from our full capacities and the enjoyment of them just is very wearing. I hope some big and long lasting relief comes your way and soon.
Dreary here though I am not the "weather" person -- Oh Wendy !!! On the cool side too -- both things I am not thrilled with most of the time. Sure don't like having the two together. Need to find a quote and start my day -- restless night last night -- don't know why. Sort of tired out already. I'll be checking back later.

Buddy, that hands looks so uncomfortable. Can this be fixed with PT? I sure hope so. Does anything make it better or worse? I am sorry you are experiencing this.
Wendy, I just hope you are having fun living life. I just am worried about your eye and am thinking the computer is off limits until it heals.
Things are great here. I would like 15 degrees warmer, but that is coming. I had a restless night too last night, Jackie,,,,maybe it was a barometric change? I was up every hour.

Just got home. Doc said its not infected. I disagree its open and oozing. I have scratched a big spot open. My knuckle is so swollen its distorted. He is sending me to a RA Doc and a Dermatologist. I cant get into the RA untill June 23 and Dermatologist May 11 if I opt to see her CNA instead of her. Otherwise its June 1. Meanwhile I cant wear my compression garments. Man of man you gotta love our HMO

Gosh, Buddy.....what a bad deal to have to wait so long to see a specialist. I just don't know what to say. But please know that we are all here for you.
Elfsong......The tape is called Kinesio Tex. My PT swears by it. I got it on line for around $15. Medical supply store was selling the same thing for $30.
