I'm not looking forward to another dreary day today but it appears that's what's on the docket for the day. I'm like you, Jackie. I function at top speed and have a much perkier step when the sun is shining! Dreary days make me "blah!" In addition to the mood swings, this rain is messing up my walking routine, which I've just got back into swing again. I know...whine, whine, whine! LOL

Good rainy morning to you all. I sure hope none of you are facing water problems. I actually see some results in my hand today. Steroids are working. Rita I am with you on being a Sunshine girl. I guess I will make cookies again today. It makes me happy to see the kids face when they come home from school to a big plate of cookies.

Morning! Just listening to my sump slurp away....we've had about 3" here in So. Elgin so far and I guess more is on the way later.
Marilyn...glad you were able to get your surgery done! And I agree....any rolls that get taken off can't be a bad thing! Hoping that your pain level stays low!

Elf....I am horrified that your dentist would elect to pull a tooth rather than set up a payment plan for you. In my dentists' office they cleary state by a sign on the front desk that they will gladly work out a plan for you. But....your tooth is gone so time to get this part over with and then look around for someone else. Yikes! Don't know of dentists in the Naperville area tho....

Budders...sounds like your hand is doing better. Please don't give up....and let the girls here help you. Wouldn't you help if the tables were turned? And Jackie is right....it does wonders for the givers too! If I lived closer I wqould be glad to drive...I really would. And I would not take NO for an answer.
Saw eye doc on Monday and as I was driving over I bled a bit in my "good" eye so he got to see it. He said almost all detachments take place at the same time. Me.....I am a rare bird. My vitreous obviously is gonna detach a little bit at a time. So......the drama continues. For the most part my brain has figured out all the junk in my eye and sees around it...except at night. So I am grounded at dusk! Feels like I broke curfew or something. Also on some steroids for my thumb and that coupled with tendon stretching I found online is finally doing some good. REally don't want to see the hand surgeon! I need another doctor like I need another hole in the head!!!!

BJ....hope you are feeling better...you need to get away from those little germ factories!
Can't make the dinner tonight as no night driving for me....hoping we can do a lunch once BJ is out of school. Have fun tonight!

I know you all got that one. ***Sigh***. We are having off and on sun....not sure we will get rain as I am sad to say.....most looked like it was heading more North....possibly some sneaking south later on, but we do have lots of gray looking clouds making an appearance.....lots of wind. Not fond of that....too many trees out where we live.
Denny goes this a.m. for his Cardiology consult. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous, but I am hopeful that it is something that has a "decent" remedy.

I calleed my Clinic asked for Ins. I told the girl who answered to please relay this message to the girl who had worked on my referral. I appologhized for all the hard effort and time she had spent and I greatly appreciated all her efforst but I would not be going. I said I saw no sense in starting somthing I couldnt complete, But thank you. THEN>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
One hour later she called back and said.....Would St Joes Hospitol be more convienient for me.... HELLO.....Isnt that what I have been asking for this whold entire time. I said yes. She said she would make some calls and get back to me. She said you have to get your treatment..

I dont know if I got a manager when I called or they were scared of liability or what but someone finally got with it.

Oh Buddy, can you hear my major sigh of relief. Ok, I'm at it again, but the Universe feels your pain and distress and isn't it always darkest just before dawn. So, your angels ( the un-seen ones ) stepped in to give an assist as well. Put a bit more bluntly.....God answers prayers when the longing and need are in the correct position. There are many who can't have this type of reality....that is ok. In fact, it is not even important at this point. Lots of **un-believable** things can happen. Dis-belief does not negate these events.....you can chalk it up however you want too but I always pray to the Universe because we have so much un-seen help out there and it is their desire to be used.
I am so thrilled because you do need these txs. Your hands -- you are not your hands.....but life gets infinitely harder if you don't have them to use. I'm going to go to sleep happy tonight for sure.

well.. some good news here.. I retested at my lab where originally got my Vit D.. and low and behold.. it's steady up one point.. not good.. but at least not HALF of what it was.. so I am starting D3 today with food and retest in a month!
Also, the 14 vials of tests all came back IN THE RANGE.. almost.. the ones that didn't look like it's because I ate right before the test.. DUH sugar is higher.. So a good day overall on this board!!

Yes I do believe this was intervention. It gets even better.
Provena has a satellite within 5 miles of me and there is a LE therapist there. I can take all back roads..... no driving worries. I wish someone would pinch me to make sure I'm not dreaming.

Went to a hair/curl specilaist last night!!!DID a SUPER job on my hair and love my style and it is sooo much more manageable and recommended hair product that will had mositure back in my hair so it does not dry out.Very Happy!!
Afraid to jinx this, but after months of homeopathic supplemetation, goin to the Drs down at 55th and kedzie ( go again tomm), results are coming forth for me and am feeling amazing. not sure if this is just afluke of a day but i slept in away that i never have and they told me it would take this long and it is happening. Shows giving up is Not possible if you want results!!!
ELF...are you doin ok???The pain minimized... you may need to go get a new pair of sparkle shoes to match the other pair. anything i am sending you healthy wishes and hugs.

Buddy... Once i get to NY and have some time, will try to repost a pic! The key to managing curly hair is not to use product that generates more curl. You also need to put mositure in to the curl so it does not dry out. I am not using Aveda Brilliant Anti-Humecant Pomade and Redkin smooth down Detangling Cream. Awesome job they did. But the key for me is how the stylist took the thicknes out and transformed it into a style that is more suited for my face!

Good morning everyone.
Buddy, and everyone.....I did go to sleep happy and I woke up so rested. First because Buddy will get what she needs. Do you think they all became nervous as a fairly long hospital stay for the very problem had just taken place ?????? Just so happy for you Buddy.
Secondly, I slept on a new mattress ( long story of not wanting to go to furniture stores ) that a really good friend decided to sell. A great price and great sleep. As well, found out that a stress test will be ordered for Dh. He apparently was not taking his BP meds and this was the main culprit in the chest heaviness/pressure. I am actually a little happy. I can now do mainly Dash diet foods. Before this would not have been tolerated well in the household. Now, I can get away with it.
Also, we were able to buy one of the high efficiency, energy saving washers for a pittance as it came in the store with a broken knob. Rather than the $980.00 price tag --- it goes down to $200.00. Dh will buy protection agreement and they will come out once it is hooked up at my house and put the new knob ( $160.00 ) on for free. I also decided to just go ahead and get the matching dryer. I will sell my 7 yr. old Maytags and recover some money to pay for all of this.
Bj, you sound like you are a lot better, but as you talked and visited for hours at the dinner, I'm sure glad the week-end is close so you can get some make-up sleep accomplished. I bet it was great and I sure hope some one took pictures....Laura, if you did hope you post soon.

Illinois lady What could be more wonderful for a spectactular lady than a nice new bed and a new jazzed up washer and dryer. How exciting........The new appliances are so awesome and energy efficient. I have them on my someday list. Ha Ha.

Hi ladies - I am so sorry I have not checked in. It has been one thing after the other. Came back from Vegas, spent 2 days at home, headed to Baltimore for a business meeting, came home, some was in musical production of Grease, got sick with a fever for Mother's Day..... I feel better now and we are heading to MI for the weekend.
I saw that Buddy was in the hospital! Hope you are doing better.
Ginny - glad to see that your scans were good. You are in my thoughts. I hope you can get to a point where you can enjoy some food.
I know there is lots of other stuff going on, but I haven't had time to catch up on all the pages.
