mak - Hang in there...I know it's difficult to not worry. Maybe we could do lunch later this week...or dinner? Have a safe trip to Seattle...

Makmak, I was thinking what Lago actually wrote when I read your post. The node is working to filter stuff. I know now you are diappointed at best and worried at worse, and I cannot tell you not to be. We will work through this. Susan

I know I'll calm down and be more rational but just upset now...
Scheduled bloodwork at Block to see if my tumor indicators are still low.. That will help my mental state through this!!! Always a curve ball somewhere!!
Ok boarding now!!! Thanks for letting me vent!!0 -
Determined 3 not a problem folks will just need to be careful in knowing who they are reading

Connie you crack me up. This pain is hard to tolerate. I am on naproxen 2 x day and tramadol , Lung doc saw a suspicious spot on my diaphram and a couple in question in the breast are that could be from surgery. He sent me for a biopsy to the surgeon. Surgeon pulled the PET and said he didnt see anything on the diaphram. And the places on the chest are from scar tissue. So...here is sit hoping he is right. What should I do? Just accept it and go on, or question it? This HPOA is a rotten deal.

Hugs to makmak and buddy! The unknown is so darn scary and it's hard to know WHAT to do.
makmak....You have every reason in the world to be upset. I'm sending good vibes for low counts on that blood test! You do need some peace of mind. Hang in there, gal. Inflammation can do strange things in our body and it might just be a case of inflammation. I'm certainly not a doctor, but I can't imagine your onc waiting 3 months to biopsy it if he really thought it was indicative of the disease progressing. You just come and vent anytime you need to vent. We are always here!
I just got home from reading questions for the Regional state scholastic bowl competition for junior high students. What a pleasant evening! I'm always amazed at the information and facts our junior high students have stored in their brains!

Here's a cup of coffee art...hope you all have a nice day!

Hoping things turn out well for those waiting for results....
wishing a peaceful relaxing day for everyone.
Looking for sunshine that is still hiding somewhere. Off to work then a Mamo in the afternoon.

Morning...just a quick driveby...
Makmak....I agree...if they thought it was really something to be concerned about there would not be a 3 month wait. Your markers should help you relax.
Buddy...I really know nothing about your diagnosis but its so unfair, isn't it? You get cancer and then a new disease to worry about. There should be a 5yr or so moratorium for cancer pts and new problems. Jeesh....
BJ....I'm still looking for my beach chair. Heck....I'm looking to get out of my down vest which I wear to the gym in the early morning! I actually scraped some frost off the windshield last week!
Laura...too funny about you dropping the car on DH! We have a neighbor who insists on doing his own oil changes and we just shake our heads...it looks dangerous, he makes a mess and takes him hours. We have handed him coupons for a $19.95 oil change and he said they do it wrong! Now...changing a radiator? I bet DH saved a ton!
Princess J....so sorry about your Mom! That stinks, to put it mildly! I knew the girls would have names for you!
Jackie...saw your new photo uploads on FB...cute!!!
Joan..how was Naples?
Off to do some cleaning out as tomorrow is garbage day! Gotta make room for all the new clothes I want to buy! LOL

HI everyone...I had followup mamo today and all is well....I am exhausted from the stress...driving to St. Louis is not my idea of fun....almost slammed into the back of a little car that crossed over two lanes of traffic to arrive in front of me...that was worse stress than the mamo.
The sun is shining...yeah. Thinking of everyone and wishing you a great day tomorrow.

Wendy you are so right.... 5 years would be good. They say this HPOA is from the cancer. I am confused my body is trying to heal and doing somthing to the bones. Its also been explained that tumors release somthing that causes.this. The pain is like RA it affects long bones I have it from hips to toes and now it my arms.
Nana I dont like driving in traffic either. I'm sorry you had to spend your day so stressfull.

YEAH ATeamNana on the good mammo!!!!!

Back from Naples, Fl. It was HOT down there. Beach wedding and it was 90 degrees on the hot sand. Had a great time though. I felt like it was my official "coming out" party after a year of going through treatments and getting a few hairs back on my head. Now its back to reality and a few follow-up appointments in the next couple weeks. Uggh!

Makmak.. hope all went well in Seattle. It sure doesn't seem to me that your ONC would wait 3 months if he was very concerned about that node. We will all be here to get you through it. ATeamNana.. congrats on the clear mammo. That is a huge relief, I am sure. Buddy... I googled HPOA and still don't understand it very well but I agree, it sure is a rotten deal to have to deal with that on top of the BC. Enough already!
Hope we start getting some nice spring weather soon. DH has had to mow the lawn a few times and I am anxious to get some flowers going on the patio. Sunshine???

Joan, I am still confused about it. Its associated with Lung cancer. But they cheked my lungs, they are clear. I was told its fairly common, even though I have never heard of it before. Its in response to the cancer. Its suppose to get better when they take the cancer out. My body just hasnt realized it yet. Sometimes it can be the first sign of lung cancer. It causes finger and toes to club. I think its odd no one hear has had it or heard of it either. How common can it really be then????

If Nobody Smiled
If nobody smiled, and nobody cared,
And nobody helped us along;
If every fellow looked out for himself,
And the good things all went to the strong;
If nobody cared just a little for you,
And nobody thought about me,
And we stood all alone in the battle of life,
What a dreary old world this would be!Life is sweet because of the friends we love,
And the things that in common we share;
And we want to live on, not because of ourselves,
But because of the people who care.
It's giving and doing for somebody else-
On that all of life's splendor depends;
And the joy in this world, when you've summed it all up,
Is found in the love of our friends.-Arthur James Hayden

Joan.....what a great picture when I opened up BCO this a.m. Two million dollar smiles. I hope that picture goes into a frame somewhere.
Buddy -- maybe we don't hear about it as we don't seem to know too many people with lung cancers, but never-the-less, I hope they can find something so that it does not interfere with you so much. You have such a fighting spirit for all you have gone thru.
Cool here today....but the sun is visiting so how bad can it be. We have turned the I-heater on for the present. Be glad when we can put it in the closet.
Hope you will all have a wonderful day. See you later.
Hugs, Jackie

Hi ladies - sitting in the airport in Baltimore after a long 3 day business trip. It was fun but by the last day you are exhausted. I still have 2 hours until my flight takes off! They wouldn't put me on the earlier flight unless I paid the $153 upgrade. NOT!
Julie - so sorry to hear about your mom. I work in Niles which is right next to Skokie. I don't know any drs there but I work with a gal who was diagnosed a few months ago. I will ask her tomorrow who her surgeon is.
Marina - sorry to hear your lymph node news. Something in my heart tells me that you are here for the long haul so please keep your positive spirit. Lymph nodes do weird things. Hugs to you.
Susan - I think I know where you may have looked at the terra cotta condos - not sure about the A-frames. We are in a complex called Lake Pointe - they are tan/cream colored units. I know there are a couple for sale now. If you decide to come back to the area this summer, please let me know. If we will be there, we would love to have you over and would love to take you on a boat tour of Paw Paw Lake!

Hi there.. Back from Seattle.. and had my Herceptin today.. and got to read my scan results.. Unfortunately they also indicate a possible newe nodule in my breast.. So.. I'm starting to get less optimistic about the inflammation theory.. HOWEVER, I also got vaccine yesterday and that can help kill those cells too.. SO yeah.. I'm very bummed.. but my organs are all clear which at my stage is KEY.. so we will see what happens in 12 weeks on the scan and go from there..
Beautiful sunny day.. and I better get off my butt and cook some food for the kids and go get my munchkin from daycare.. Yes, she already has a runny nose after her first day on Monday..

mak - Keep doing what you're doing...I'm sorry about the nodule...but I am so happy that no organs are involved. Hang in there...hugs big time! Best wishes at Block on Friday. If you want me to go with you...you know I will...just let me know (yes, I will chauffeur).
ATeamNana - Great news about the good Mammo results!
Connie - Glad to "hear" from you. Think about you often. Hope your trip home was safe and uneventful.
Budder - Oh Budder...I am sorry you have to deal with all this.
Joan - You and dh are one HOT couple! Wow...you two look great. Your hair style is so cute.
------------------------------------------------------
EVERYONE - Wherever you are in treatment or beyond...please make the most of each day. Hugs to all of you!

Great picture Joan! You really look great!!!
I think that golfing season may finally be arriving. I golfed 18 holes today............9 of them very poorly but then I regrouped a bit on the back 9. It was so good to get out in the fresh air and get some exercise.
makmak....I agree with Laura. You are a true inspiration. Hang in there. I still can't believe they would let you go another 12 weeks if they really thought there was a major threat.
Well, I need to find the kitchen and get started on preparing something for an evening meal tonight. Hugs to all of you.

MakMak, Living with such uncertainty must be very difficult and I admire your grace. You just do not need any of this with the three children. You seem so brave to me. I just do not understand why you must go through this, but it is my daily hope that this all resolves itself very soon.
Have a few more odd days to work, only in the grade where I did the long term and so I worked today. The ladies came to clean my home and I like to be out of the way when they do, so i work and then pay them the same! I would rather teach than clean house and so I feel lucky I can do that.
DD is graduating on Saturday. She received her Masters in Early Childhood Intervention. I hope the weather is lovely. I also hope she gets a job she loves! Things are tough her as I guess they are elsewhere.
Hugs to all!

Ladies, I have some good news. Our DIL who was on bed rest for the last 4 weeks delivered our new grandson Tuesday. His name is Kallen Stanley and he weighed 6# 10oz and was 19 inches long. Not bad at still almost 4 weeks early. Everyone is doing fine and they get to come home today. He was born at the hospital in Peoria so we were able to go and see them. He is so cute.
Hugs to all of you going thru tests etc. Hang in there as you know you can get thru it. It is just not fun getting there.

Congratulations NanaA!
Connie it always amazes me they rather let the seat go empty then fill it without the extra fee.
Joan love the photo. You two look so perfect and happy together.
Zap, you must be so proud.
Rita, what did you have for dinner. I always enjoy food talk!
Laura, sorry didn't make the most of my day yesterday. Hopefully with meds today will be more productive

buddy1 Some of us just seem "blessed" to get these odd things. Hope your body figures it out soon so you can get this resolved.
Well I finally had to do it. I took my first 1/2 pill of Norco this morning. Still in pain but at least the air doesn't make me hurt. OI can't believe I've had a BMX, 14 nodes removed, 6 tx of chemo and never took any major drugs except for some Aleve on chemo for a few days. This is nuts
Shingles are drying up nicely though. Too bad but pain seems to be getting worse. I have a call into my PS to see if they will still let me go forward with the exchange surgery on the 27th. I have no idea what's going on over there but for some reason they haven't called me back yet. That's not like them.
Enjoy the sunshine. It appears that spring might make it here this week. Yay!

For Mom & Kallen :

Congratulations to all. Bet your glad the waiting is over. Hmmm, this could have really been a BIG guy if DIL could have gotten all the way through. So happy everyone is ok.

Good morning!
Mak- warm hugs, healing vibes, strength, peace, love to you.
Back from a three day veggie juice fast at the Creative Health Institute or as my husband calls it the commune. Feeling good.
Today is my one year anniversary of diagnosis and my 49th bday. I will be torturing my children and husband by requesting Karyn's Cooked (vegan) instead of Las Pinatas for dinner. I know Lago GASP! (c:
Have a great day all and Happy Cinco De Mayo!
