I'm in for the trip to Mitch's!
The wireless thing is not too big of an issue, since it's just when I use it in the house. Out in the office our internet is via satelite. And I do take names and all, date and times too! We watch too much Peoples Court....LOL.
Stanzie, try and not worry too much while the kids are gone. I'm sure they will be just fine. But I know what you mean! Here is part of DorK's post earlier, where she talks about her tail: My DD just scolded me for making a wee widdle dwink. I did not have to tell on myself but I wanted to confirm that today is Saturday and further commented that it is 5'oclock somewhere. She said "are you taking pain medication and drinking"? Gosh, I have my tail between my legs and sure wish she understood that this would not kill me.
I sure wish you could get something done to fix your "pillows". That just isn't right. I think I would see a lawyer, one that specializes in malpractice.
Kathy, your mom is so amazing! I think you do good by enjoying all the great things, and just try to overlook the ones when she forgets. I sure wish your dad wasn't so stressful to her. Enjoy your painting together. Perhaps you could get someone to take a few pictures, of the two of you painting together. I think you would cherish that MUCHO! Oh yeah, what was your cooling towel called that you got at Dick's? And how do you get a coupon? I want to get DH a couple of them. They have a Dick's in Phoenix.
BTW (back to work)

Oh totally brilliant idea to take pictures!!! Goldie that is such a perfect idea! Aren't they the perfect like Mom like daughter - her Mom is building!???
Ok,so the first time I met my MIL who was a very handy person, smart, working in the blood lab at a hospital, loved to cook, just did everything - she asks me about cooking - well, at the time I didn't but my ex was a gorment cook so didn't see the need. Then she asks me about work, I was hoping to quit as I worked nights and my finacee worked days, so she askes me about taking care of the house, I of course say, really wasn't good at cleaning, made me too tired(didn't know about MS at the time) and hoped we would have money enough to hire someone. So I'm not exactly shining in this interview... so finally asks if I build. I truely looked at her like she was nuts! I didn't know at the time she and my ex had built this huge storage barn together and the huge deck and screen porch on their house so I'm like I can hang a picture ..... sigh..... I really do need to learn more!
Hoping to fix my sink where the thing that raises and lowers the drain isn't connected to the piece. I found the lever under the sink but my arms arn't long enough to move the part under the sink and raise and lower the thing on the sink... so to be a plumber you need really long arms? I thought just the baggie pants were the only requirement. Who knew?
Oh I found some thing online that looked wonderful,www.coolgelsolutions.com I don't know anything abou them first hand but with hot flashes looked pretty enticing...
Really do wish we could figure a way to all get together in person.... We might not ever stop laughing.....

Hi ladies, how have you all been these last few days? Camping was good, loved the new trailor so nice to have the room in there especially when the weather isnt cooperating. It was ok, but we had a lot of wind which I should expect from southern alberta but was really hoping for my trip it would just piss off.Still feeling pretty tired and still have lead in my arms and legs my feet are so swollen from retaiining fluid now sheesh I dont think my body realizes that I am done chemo now, enough with the SE already.
Glad your surgery went well Dork but sorry to hear they placed it in the wrong spot!!!! How are things on that front was it just swelling?
Kathy I do envy your relationship with your mom , you are so lucky to have had that in your life.
Who is turning 50???? I read it and now forgot but I want to come to the party
Speaking of parties my birthday is on Sunday, cant beleive how it snuck up on me like that I will be 42.
Ok have to get back to work hugs to all

Girls, Bear with me, I am trying to type through tears. Junie's husband just called me, and she is not doing well at all. She is unconscious and has been for the past 2-3 days, and is in ICU. She had an additional, emergency surgery, to find out what else was wrong, but it didn't turn up anything. She needs all our prayers and thoughts right now. I know she is a fighter, and I am hoping and praying she can fight her way through this. The reason I hadn't been able to reach her lately is her cell phone was in the closet of her hospital room, and when her husband just retrieved it today, he saw my messages. I am thankful he was able to reach me, as I was working at the condo. Oh, my heart goes out to him too, I know this is so hard on him. Her children, as well as his children, are there with her. Hoping and praying for better news, and will let you know. I know you all think so much of her, and rightly so, and would want to know what is going on. She is such an amazing friend, I can't wait till she can join us here again with all the dog beers she wants.

OMG Kathy, this is just terrible news. I am sending every positve vibe I have in my body to her and her family. this is just so sad. What put her into a coma? I know I missed something damn friggin chemo brain. Big Hugs to you too my dear friend

Kymn, She had emergency surgery last week (I think it was Sunday), which ended up more complicated than they had thought it would be. She was recovering in the hospital, but then 2-3 nights ago her b/p and everything went haywire, which is why they did an additional surgery. She has been unresponsive since then. Thanks for the hugs, I think we all can use some right now. I just can't stop the tears.
0 -
Oh my goodness...that is terrible!! Prayers and healing vibes heading Junie's way. Where does she live?
0 -
Junie lives in northern Arkansas. So glad for all the extra prayers she is getting from you girls here.
0 -
oh, Kathy, so very sorry to hear this. I will be praying real hard for Junie and her family. She is one sweet gal and I have missed her. I also can't wait to have her back at the lounge and please tell her husband to pass on our thoughts and prayers. Junie is one strong gal and will get past this. And to you, a big hug. I know you two are very close.<<<KATHY>>>>. I am sorry that you have to be the one to communicate this terrible news and will be praying that any new messages are possitive ones. God, I was being good for once and reading top to bottom but your message seemed to make the clock stop for a minute.
Kymn, nice to see you. Glad you had a cool camp out and hope the brain returns. I thought that it was possible Gail having a 50th? We do need to know these things, can't miss any oppurtunity for parTAY. I will be coming to your parTAY. I have emailed Beanie to ask her to get the bus ready!!
Stanzie, I am being told that this is typical swelling. I find the whole thing odd because with the prior tissue expander, it felt like a turtle shell and I do not feel this one. I already had a pillow sort of thing in my arm pits but not an extra boob. What you describe does feel like what I am experiencing. The thing about this disease that kills me is that we were "supposed" to get a bonus on One Brand New Pair of Perky Twins. Oh hello, I believe that might have happened once lol.
I am going to head into the chapel and do some hard praying for Junie, she is a fighter. I am sending you all a bucket of dog beers to drink for her, that may wake her up!!!
Lori, I did also have a tissue expander placed. I am not sure why as the lap flat is usually a one step and I still need an implant. My procedures are never normal and I did ask prior to the surgery why and it is because of my history. I guess it is like belt and suspenders theory? I dunno, I just show up. Glad the Shady Lady is coming along.
Off to the chapel...peace and love my lady friends!

Grabbing my dog beers and heading to the chapel with DorK. Kathy, I agree with DorK, that this has to be hard for you as well, to be the "reporter".
Kymn, please remind us again that Sunday is your b-day. We will celebrate with you. My gosh, 42, you are so young! You and Kitty both. Sorry 'bout the wind on your camping trip, but glad you enjoyed the camper. I'm sure you will have many more happy trips. I'm still looking for my brain, so if you find it, along with yours, could you send it this way! And YES, DorK is right about the BIG 50 B-DAY!
Come on Junie, you can do this!

My heart is so heavy now and I need to find a way to lighten the weight. I am thinking such strong and positive thoughts for Junie. Oddly, it is now thundering here and at the same time, I was thinking of Junie. Funny, an image of her sitting in her closet, with her bike helmet as she waited for her DH to join her and make sure they fit into her newly discovered storm shelter. Junie, you are always ready to battle what is ahead. We need you to show up in the lounge, again with your bra on top of your shirt wooooo whooo! God I love you Junie and pray that you wake up happy and feeling good.
To Junie and all my bwest fwends, gwab a dwink and a stool. Beanie and I are busy loading the bus!!!

Oh such nice reminisces, DorK! I am joining you and Lori in the chapel...even have my own bucket of dog beers. Lori, I think maybe that is why I confused Kymn and Heather...they are similar in age, and soooo young!!! (I'm trying to think of ANY excuse). And. Lori when you wrote "...but glad you enjoyed the camper", I first thought you meant Kymn's DH, and I missed reading about the great time they had together camping!!! Like, a really GREAT time!
So I am thankful you gave me a giggle. Then I realized you meant THE new camper! Kymn, please do remind us before your birthday on Sunday, cause if Junie isn't a lot better by then, then my brain will be mush. I am borrowing my mantra from you Lori.... "Come on Junie, you can do this". Let's get that bus loaded and headed to Arkansas!!! 0 -
Thanks Kathy, it did me good thinking about Junie. I could probably do a pretty good job mimicking her. I loved that I had the chance to talk with her on the phone, I hope she reads this and me saying that one time means so much to me. I have only talked to two other gals here on the phone. Well to the point, Junie you are a grand sweet southern gal and you are so much loved. Rest yo now, we have a birthday partay and the bus needs to move on Sunday or so. I will see you tomorrow or if the bus driver hears me, by midnight ( I told him STEP ON IT, Chumpy)! And I know what you mean about Kitty and Kymn, both very beautiful and both very young to have endured BC. Although I am glad to have crossed paths, sure wish it was somewhere else
????? 0 -
Move over I'm coming too both in the bus and in the chapel pew! Oh kathy.... I'm just so so sorry for her, her husband and children.... and of course you as well. I don't begin to understand but surely everything will be alright, she is strong and they just need to figure out what to do for her.... I'm hoping she is unconscious so she can heal and be strong.... Please do let us know but will send strong powerful healing vibe and thoughts and of course lots of prayers! How just awful,.... I don't being to know what to say....

Stopping by for a bucket of dog beers and to wish that Junie gets well quickly...I miss you all so much and think of you every day. Me is good but just so wish everyone else is good.

Joining all of you with prayers for Junie.
Just so sad and not fair.

Here just to see if there is any more word on our sister. DorK, your memories/thoughts are only of just a few of our dear sister. But yet so funny and bring a smile.
I am just at a loss for words! Just want to make up some some foil balls and throw them around! Stanzie, I hope you are right on your thoughts...that she is unconsious so she can heal.
COME ON JUNIE, YOU CAN DO THIS

I know how you feel Lori....there are so many funny, caring sides to our dear Junie. And I know how close you are to her, also. So many of us are hurting right now. When I first found out how critical she is, I thought the same thing Stanzie wrote, about maybe she is unconscious so her body can heal...I even said that to my DH. Hoping we are all right about that. I am so moved by everyone's concern and caring, and I am sure Junie would be so touched.
COME ON JUNIE, YOU CAN DO THIS!

I have just turned on the computer and the first thing I see when checking is Junie is not doing well!!! Oh NO!!!!! This is such a shock!!! My prayers are beeing said for her recovery.
She has to get well!!! I am going to meet her when I am in Shell Knob!!! She just has to get well.....
Dotty, (((((hugs)))))). Hope that swelling goes down soon and it doesn't look like you have a boob under your arm! By the way, I love your avatar................now I will be able to recognise you!
Kathy, (((((((hugs))))))) I know this has hit you hard about Junie as you and her are close.........we will not give up on her and if love means anything, she is already on the way to getting better.

Hiya gals,
Sorry to go off subject but this is Junie approved. I am not sure if you remember my friend Stella, but she works for this mortgage company who was recently featured on the national news. My friend is beside herself over this report as it portrays her employer as being so caring when it comes to their employees health. The thing is, this newscast blatantly excludes the fact that my company changed their health care covergage plan under Aetna, A++ to a plan that is under CIGNA what I would rate as D-. I believe will will have to pay out of pocket a minimum of $50k for my visit to the hospital. This makes me soooo angry!! If any of my breast friends would like to send letters to the The Morning Show to tell them what is REALLY going on, let me know and I will write it and pay for it but not under my name. Gosh, I need a drink. It is nearly 1:30am and I am revved up. Here is the link. I would be proud to show where I work if not for the insurance thing. The company motto should be "we care about you as long as you are well" F them!
Again, this link is from my friend's employer and my friends name is Stella.
Anyone want to drink??

Gail, glad you popped in. So sorry you are not feeling yourself. Remember, you can rant here!
DorK, I meant to comment on your avatar too, last night, but forgot. You look beautiful, simply mahvalus! Is it Stella's employer, or the insurance company that is messing her up? But you are so right and hit the nail on the head. They only care when there is nothing wrong with you. We are expecting our insurance to go up another 50% come January. If it does, we won't be able to afford it.

Lori, I like the picture you added.....reminds me of Dee, too. Very appropriate!
DorK, REALLY????? OMG, that is a humongous amount to pay out of pocket. Un-fricking-believable. I am beside myself that they would sock it to you like that. I saw the video of where Stella works....beautiful bldg....but horrible concept. Wanted to add a comment, but what to say? Would be happy to send in a letter....send me a draft and address. I am flabergasted that anyone would be expected to pay that much, for an operation to "redo" a prev operation that did not end up with good results. How about getting a cancer group behind this? Let them know what is happening. Breast surgery for cancer patients should be covered!!! I wonder if Earleen in Ashville could help you, at least with info? She has a bc non-profit. Yesterday am I saw your new avatar, and also meant to comment. Such a nice pic of you!!! Sorry, but with the sad news of yesterday, I totally forgot to comment.
I will update if there are any changes today....will try to reach Junie's DH around midday. I know she and her family will appreciate all the prayers and healing thoughts going her way, from all of you. Thank you so much.
Kathy

Thanks Lori, Hope you don't mind me copying it here....love the mantra and picture....

Junie, I sent the ML truck to the hospital....it is sitting out front ready with all the beer you want!

Claire--retail therapy is soooo effective! Great find, hope you get to wear the sleeveless sweater soon. Helping create a summer sangria must have been a lot of fun. I'd love to do something like that. And the purse just goes to show that everything does come back around into style again. Just think how trendy you are now without any cost!

DorK--Hooray for liberation, one bit of equipment at a time! Those Pratts, though, they are obnoxious house guests, never seem to know when they have worn out their welcome. Your wishes for me worked, this last weekend wasn't as busy as the one before. Steady, but not crazy. Steady is better than crazy!

Wahine--And here's to the WINNER! Nice pot for DH!

Beacon800-Welcome to the HTL! You'll find everything you could want here, and if you don't the Tenders will make it for you. There are never any hangovers here, and when we get drunk we can get un-drunk just by saying we want to be sober. There are several fountains with drinks, my favorite is the raspberrytini fountain, but the percotini fountain is very popular, too.The swim up bar:

The mimosa fountain:

some of the hammocks available:

And of of our Tenders:

Goldie--most answering machines will record live calls. It is perfectly legal to record phone calls as long as both parties know the call is being recorded. In a situation like yours I would say I am going to record the rest of this call, hit the memo button, and say I am recording this phone call. This is NM, it is (date) (time) and I am speaking with (name of company). Will you please state your name? Then recap the conversation and have the person say yes it's accurate or not it isn't. I try to get the person to say themselves what I want to have recorded. While not the same as a contract the recording is very helpful if the company doesn't want to honor the agreement later.

Stanzie--thanks for the website, I'm going to spend some time checking it out!

Kymn--Happy belated Birthday! Glad the camping trip was good, even if your body wasn't cooperating as much as you would of liked. That new trailer must be just wonderful!

Oh, No, I am so upset to hear about Junie! I will certainly continue praying for her and her family. Wahine, please keep posting the updates. Is there anything we can do for her family from long distance besides praying?

Astorm--good to "see" you in the lounge, if only briefly. Praying for you, too, to feel better and soon!
