All of our hearts are so heavy right now. I agree with Lori that Junie would want us to keep a sense of normalcy. However, I just can't seem to think of other things to post about. I keep thinking of foil balls and crazy lamp shades, and her fav beverage, Miller Lite. The Miller Lite truck is always parked outside her house when she has visitors, and has been outside the hospital lately. Knowing how much Junie loved going to the casinos, I hope it is okay with you girls if I add a Miller Lite table and chairs in a corner of our casino.

Kymn, We have a partial contact list. Some of the gals pm'd me with their addresses, phone numbers, contact person, just in case. You could start one too, or if you want me to add you to my list, just send it in a pm. I even sent Junie's DH's cell number to Lori, in case something happened to me. Although she does have Junie's address and could have reached someone. You just never know, as we are too aware of, right now. One thing is, Junie's situation is not a result of breast cancer.
One of our loungettes has a BIRTHDAY today, but not sure if I can say who it is, so I just want to shout out "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!".

Don't want to intrude, but those of us who love Junie are checking in here regularly. Your memories, tributes and prayers are sustaining all of us. I have this irrational thought that if Junie just knew I was considering publishing her pmails to me, she'd wake up! She is such a special, special friend to many of us. Thank you for loving her.

And thanks also to you, Allison. I do think Junie had to know how special she is to all of us, and I too am touched by all the wonderful posts about her. Please come here anytime, this is the best forum to pass on to everyone how she is doing.
Unfortunately, her husband just called me, and she is not getting any better. He said she grimaced a little yesterday so he asked the dr again if she was in any pain, and now they think she may be, but cannot give her anything strong enough to help, with the ventilator, etc. I did relay to him how touched she was by the inscription on the ipad2 he gave her...without telling her it was inscribed. But when she noticed it, that was so special. How touched we all were by that. And also relayed to him how special her last visit with her DD was, and how thankful she was (me too) for that visit. I know her DD has good memories of that time, just 3-4 wks ago (?). I also am glad I told her I loved her, the last time we spoke. Her DH said the kids all got there after the 2nd surgery, so did not get to speak with her, since she was unconscious already. He goes in and keeps talking to her and telling her how much he loves her, and wants her back. So sad. I know I keep saying this too much, but it really IS breaking my heart. And the fact that my planned visit to see her in September, will most likely not happen.

so nice to see the lounge loaded with Junie supporters. Gosh, every loungette I have known from this forum has come out to support Junie. Other than us current regulars, out came Dee, Casino girl and Jaybird. It is also nice seeing other friends from other forums coming here to support Junie.
Kathy, please don't give up hoPe that you will not see her in September. As long as she is breathing, there is always hope for a miracale and i certainly believe in miracles. It is not much to hold on to albeit something.
I had to chuckle over the comment about sharing Junie's pm's, that will wake her up lol. I wish it as that easy.
I am still chanting her name, Junie, Junie, Junie, Junie, come on, we are having a lampshade party in your honor. I will not take my shade off until you are back. And I will put my bra on the outside of my shirt as well. I am done at my PS and as guessed, I had two drains out, just one more to go. The doc did a small fill, I cannot remember how many cc's but my bitty titty is growing. The doc again resuured me that the breast is NOT in my armpit, that is just all of the swelling from the surgery. It does look nicer with the fill. Yay, I am finally not a one titted woman and I feel like a woman, here me roar grrrrrwlllll!!
Ok, I am going to sit at the casino and see if there is room at the new Miller light corner and have some dog beers with you gals. Love each and every one of you now more than ever!!

Allison, you are NOT intruding....AT ALL! I am sure we have no idea how many friends Junie has. She is just one of those gals, how could you not like her. We have heard MANY stories from Junie, and she always has us cracking up!
Kathy, so glad that it came to you to share those moments with Junie's DH, otherwise he may not have ever known. He would probably sh!t if he knew all of the stories she has told!

It has been way too long since I've been here, but my bco drinking buddies are always in my heart.
Wahine, I can just see Junie sitting on one of those stools enjoying her ML's.
My prayers are with her, her family and all of her bco friends here that have gotten to know and love her. I met her in Vegas and again in Arkansas, we had such a great time on both occasions.
Let's do it again, Junie! I am waiting for her to come visit her family and bring them to our restaurant. Please pull thru this Junie. You were such a great inspiration for me when I first came here.

And a birthday cocktail of sorbet and champage!
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon sorbet (we like raspberry or passion fruit)
- Chilled Champagne or Prosecco
Directions:
Scoop sorbet into a champagne flute. Fill with chilled Champagne or Prosecco; stir.

I love all the Junie memories. Some of them were before my time... especially like that doctor, Lori.
Had one of my lonnng days yesterday, followed by a bookclub meeting during which I volunteered to host next month. I'll probably need a diversion as it will be the week after DD1 moves to the dorm.
This is just not panning out to be the best summer is it? My thoughts and prayers are with Junie and her family.

Beans, the champagne and sorbet look wonderful! And cake too! DorK, I'll do a letter too! Gail, I think it was HD that did the doctor picture. She would make up photos, and was the BEST! If you notice the good doctors hand, that is supporting the clip board......that is actually Junies hand from another photo! Your baby girl is growing up, I hope it's not too hard on you when she goes.

Hi girls, Been out most of the day and just home for a couple of hrs, then taknig my mom out again, this time to a gallery open house. All your posts are so touching, has me in tears again. I do hope Junie knows how loved she is. It is amazing how many people she has touched, in such a postivie way. And Lori, thanks for pointing out the "finger", because as usual, I missed it. Another of Junie's funny things that she did in most pictures. Christine, Happy Early Birthday to you, and hope you will stay around and have a few drinks. I think we need to add more barstools to the Miller Lite corner.
Kymn, The cake is soooo cute! Our birthday gal today, did not want us to celebrate just yet, with all the sadness going on. So, later on we will have a blowout birthday party for her, and for you and for Christine. I really love that cake, do you think the TT's can put it in the freezer and save it for later?

Hi girls!
Lori sent me a message today about Junie. I have been resting on the sofa. I check Facebook and email on my iphone. I've been trying to keep up with BCO on my iphone, but it takes me so darn long to read through the posts on that thing! I can't sit up for very long, but I cracked open my laptop to read about Junie today. It's so hard to believe that Junie, Dork and I were all going into surgery over a week ago and something went seriously wrong with Junie. How unfair this is to happen to her. I am really praying for a miracle!!!!! She is so funny and an inspiration to us all.

I love the reference to Scarlett O'Hara in Gone With The Wind. She is my favorite character of all time. So much so, I named one of my cats Scarlett. And she is just as fiesty and flirtatious as the movie character!!!

Hi all, checking in for news.... As for today, I survived and my house suvived, they are an odd bunch. Had a beautiful young pretty girl in my tub which was just odd I guess for all of us. They actually asked if they could use hot water - how mean would that by to say no? Anyway, hoping for a miracle... George the ghost showed up and whispered to two people and dimmed the lights to on the bathroom photographer... Oh, Junie come on.......
