Lago... Good luck in more decision making.... I'm disappointed in the fact that it's Apple and they operate the way they do....plus, come on bill gates, your a gazillionaire....you could pay your peeps a little more!!!! I'm with Laura, I'd pass.... One door closes and another one opens right? :)

Lmbo Laura at "whiskey tango foxtrot". I love that.....

Rita....I wanna go to the state fair, FUN!!!!

WendyTY.... :( your poor head, I hope it starts feeling better!

Wendyk.... It rained by you?? It looks fairly dry here.... I'll have to check my radar for later, I have errands to run.....preferably not in the rain!!!!

JennS....glad your mammogram is soon.... I'll be hoping for the all clear for you!!!! :)

MadMom Microsoft (Bill Gates) doesn't won Apple anymore. I think you mean Steve Jobs although Bill had more money.

Yes I think you're right. Laura. I'm going to check out more job fairs and really kick this job search in gear when I get back. Need to bug my recruiters for freelance. Even $20 hour production work pays better than this!

The juice was for sleeping.  Unfortunately I spent nearly $17.00 on BING and not TART concentrate  and opened it so I am stuck with the wrong stuff...won't lose any sleep over it Foot in mouth

Makmak, I am hoping you are having a good weekend in spite of the detour you had to make this past week. We have very good reason to hate cancer.

Rita have fun at the Fair.

    Later!

I thought it was sleeping.....I need some ASAP, I'll try anything!!!!

Laura....seriously, my brain has been so scattered lately.... I'm going to blame chemo already, pre-chemo s/e's! Or I'll start worrying it's a brain tumor because that's what I seem to do now.... Darn cancer!!!!!

Mak Mak, my heart goes out to you. I was really hoping for better news. Big Hugs.

Lago, tell them to forget it. Just your presence should rate more. Dont they know YOU?????

Last night I had twenty people over for a mass done by my old priest. What an amazing night. He is just so kind and gosh we really miss him. He's been gone for four years and we decided to have the mass as a good bye to all our college kids. One of mine leaves on Thursday (Adey, you will be fine, call me to jump in the pool this week) the other is going straight to Austria for the semester on the 27 and then it's all about me time....

Onward as usual you crack me up.  Laughing Told job #2 no thank you today.

So are you and Adey going skinny dipping in your pool?

Tomorrow we are going to Cirque du Soleil. 1/2 price tickets! I'm sure I'll find out if I'm acrophobic once I find the seats. Tongue out We haven't done anything in so long. I figured we need a night out.

Lago.... have fun at Cirque du Soleil.  I've gone at Navy Pier the past couple years.  It is fun... my granddaughter loved it.  BTW, my vasculitis is hardly red at all... you would never notice it until I pointed it out.  You have to look real close to see the tiny red spots within the faint blotches.  Mine shows up most right after getting out of the shower when my skin is still moist and warm.  Then fades rapidly.  My dermatologist recognized it in an instant.

Another reference for the tart cherry juice from Livestrong website.  I did find some tart cherry juice capsules at my local health food store today so bought a bottle to use for traveling, but otherwise, I will stick with the juice at home.... gotten to like it.

Joan mine is very noticeable. If it's not gone in 2 weeks I guess I will be headed to the dermatologist to see for sure that's what it is. Odd since this is more common in men. Guess since they removed our breasts and sucked out all our Estrogen we are "medically induced" men now Yell I better not grow a penis!

Time power walking. Seems like it might actually be "chilly" today.

Lago...I thinks it's weird if people aren't afraid of heights! Hope Cirq was fun.

    WendyTY...Happy Birthday!

I'm getting ready for my second AC tomorrow.  My other daughter, 21 yo, wants to come with me this time.  So far, the only positive thing that has come out of this bc diagnosis, is the deeper bonding that my kids and I are sharing.

Will report back tomorrow.  Enjoy the beautiful weather!

Good luck on your 2nd AC Mary.  I found it to be so much easier than my first one, since I knew what to expect.  Every step gets you closer to completing treatment!

MaryRN good luck tomorrow. I'm sure you'll do fine.

BTW the Cirq was great. It was in a tent so our seats weren't really that high. Loved the costumes and set design the most… but I would.

I'm putting in the dates here for the Centralia Baloon Fest.  Not sure I got the right ones in first time.  Talked to the man in charge of the crafts booths this year and it is the 19,20 and 21st.  He says 55 spaces have been rented.....though some vendors need two.....sounds like we will have plenty out there.

There will be the usual fun food ( always way over-priced ) so  we we eat at home before we go and then get a lemon shake-up and popcorn  right before the fire works.  The city does big time mosquito spraying before the Fest so no one is ever bothered by those pesky things.  Most years it is pretty darn hot.....hope some of this cooler weather will hang around.

MaryRN Good luck tomorrow.  Lisa is right.....though the effects are cumulative as far as se's are concerned, you won't have the apprehension that the first one usually brings.  Bonding is a good thing, and hopefully your daughters sharing this time with you helps with some of their fears too.

See you all in the morning.

    Hugs, Jackie

Just popping in to say hi!  I will officially be joining you this week!  We got home from a fantastic Outer Banks vacation last night and the packers are coming to pack the house tomorow (yes, I am crazy........vacation and then moving right away).  They are loading the truck on Tuesday and delivering our stuff later this week in Chicago!  Now if I only knew how to change the city on my profile to say "Chicagoland" instead of Detroit....I will go see if I can figure that out.  Let me know when your next lunch is...I would love to meet you wonderful, fun gals!!

Morning! 50 on my deck...wonderful sleeping weather! Gonna be glorious next few days so get out there and enjoy!

Jackie...that fest sounds wonderful! I would eat first too...I'm never too sure about the food at those things so I tend not to eat much either.

    WendyTY....hope your bd was fabulous!

Lago...your job will pop up, one that is the perfect fit.

Cherry juice...I looked on amazon.com and they have several brands of capsules but the reviews were mixed as they seem to be more for arthritis pain. I sleep usually pretty well but I would love to know why on M-F I could sleep waaaaay past the alarm at 5:30 but on S/Sun I am up with the birds. Never could figure that out....

Off to see the wizard! Have a great Monday....

Morning ladies, it looks like it's going to be nice out today!!! Only 50 on the deck this morning?? Fall is around the corner.....I love fall!!!

Lago....I agree, your job is out there and you'll find it! How's the legs? Does it just itch or actually hurt? :( hope there's something that will clear it up!!!

Wendyk... I go "off to see the wizard" a lot too....that's my mention of going to Rush on my FB journey page..... Hopefully your wizard is more FUN!!! :)

Jackie... I feel the same way about the food at fairs....usually the only thing I can't resist are the greasy fresh cut fries....so bad for me I know, but YUM!!! we missed our local fair this year because of my BMX, darn cancer!!!!

Hi Mdg.... Hope the move goes smoothly!!!! Welcome to the valley! Let me know if you need directions anywhere or info.... Stay off Randall Rd. from St.Charles to Batavia as much as possible....takes twice as long!!!! :0)

    WendyTY....hope your birthday was fantastic!!!!!

I was 2 months post BMX yesterday....and managed to finally get a t-shirt on over my head!!! YAY. my DH had to help maneuver it back off last night but that's ok! I've never been happier to put on a t shirt.....2 months of button downs!!! And I'm starting to drive like a normal person again.

My stepson is pretty much packed and ready to leave our nest. My daughter is sad already, she adores her big brother!! We load the car and head out tomorrow night.... It's going to be weird with him not here all the time, he's lived with us since 8th grade.
