Oh Kittycat - don't you LoVE this site and the internet! So what does it all mean? You sound better! I think that is spectacular you emailed it to your PS. I think they need to make sure they remember how terrifying this all is for us and especially with all you have been through....I think he will appreciate it. Hope the fix isn't too difficult.
Welcome Welcome Welcome Chrissy!!! I think you got the perfect person to Welcome you to America!
DorK - you are so sweet!
Beanie!!! I see you and Kathy laughing and drinking over there.... hmmm looks like a whole bunch of winning tokens to me!

Just wonderful- wasn't thrilled with all the costumes but the rest really perfect and wonderful! So glad I didn't take my son with DS! He hates crying babies and Hates loud noises - well the baby in the show cried all the time and the Giant Well almost SHOOK the whole building!!!!It was so great! So exhausted.... so can't respond to all tonight! Happy Saturday!

Hi LadieZ,
Just checking in after a fab dinner. Welcome Chrissy!! I keep remembering a "team building" trip to a golf resort on the PA side of the Delaware River about 15 years ago. I don't golf, so went swimming. Just so much fun and the most amazing experience. Floating on the very calm river in this stunning scenery.
Another sunset over the Olympic Mountains. Feel so blessed to have all this beauty around me. A special day too, as my mother's birthday, and also the Friday that I met with my surgeon two years ago to work out a treatment plan.
Have been catching up with various business contacts including a Skype call, and using the video this time. Just the coolest. Perhaps, I should find another home for my witch's hat in the background though. Just saying.
Glad Beans that you and DH are planning a fab time together. I think this will help both of you, and I am so thrilled that all is moving forward.
One funny thing that happened is that I was busted by the clerk at Met Market for having peach gelato crumbs on my face. Yes, I had the slip so I would pay, but the evidence was there. Just the most delish as made with fresh local peaches.
Dang, on finding a new MAN Casino Girl. Now I can vouch that hormones still work even with estrogen supressed. Good for you. I wouldn't be hanging with the hen party either. Not with a real live one.
I am off for an early night. Will be dreaming of a cycling/eating/Chianti drinking trip to Tuscany as read about such in Bicycling Magazine. My idea of the idyllic. May need to re-create my version here in Seattle.
Perhaps, I should start by practicing on good NW Nebbiolo. And some pesto???? Still need to make a batch. - Claire

Thanks to all of you who prayed, sent good vibes, and othewise kept me afloat this last week! I've come to realize even more how important all you loungettes are to me, and am going to take some time out of the weekend work days to post on weekends.
Welcome to the USA, Chrissy! I know you and DorK are having a great time, can't wait to hear the stories and see the pics!

Thanks for being such a good hostess, DorK! I know Chrissy will get a really true picture of what kind of people we are here through you.
Scuba--sorry about the drains, they are such a nuisance. Does your PS let you shower with the drains in? My BS didn't, but my PS did, which was good since I had that last one for 6 weeks. I'm sure you won't have yours as long! And welcome to the lounge!

Beanie, Beanie, Beanie--you've gone from lampshade hats to a lampshade dress? I need to talk to the Tenders about your drinks. Obviously they aren't quite strong enough yet, you still have clothes (of a sort) on!

kittykat--all docs think patients are OCD, but they forget that we have only one body to worry about, they have many! So we have the time AND the impetus to research specific things. So keep right on doing it!

Well, I do have to get ready for work now, so have a great Saturday all!

NM - one of my favorite places on earth. My DH had family all over the place up in this eparts, beautiful. Yes, PS is okay with showers, praying one comes out Wednesday, leaving one to go at least 5 weeks, oh well, since I live in the historic part of Philadelphia, I just look like avgeek with a fanny pack in the front.
Anyway, happy Saturday to all, time for a Bloody Mary! Enjoy the day all.0 -
NM, what a great SaTURDey surprise to see you, WOW! Glad to have the happy you back! Hoping your weekend work load is light. You go get em and help em.
I am whispering as Chrissy is still sleeping. She ain't run away yet! She is such a delight to have, we stayed up until after 3am, yikes!
~~Yawn~~~~
Have a great day my goils!

Stanzie, I can feel ya with the no sleeping, but so sorry about the smells. As for grouting, I think that might be something hard to try and explain, but you can find videos online for just about anything. No doubt someone has a video out there showing how to do it. Hoping the scouts make it out, which make me think of the photo shoot they did there in the past. Whatever with that? We want pictures! As for not taking your DS to the theatre, you shouldn't feel bad. You know what the outcome could be, and so you are doing what you think is best, for him and the other children. I knew you would make the right decision (just read that) Glad you all had such a good time.
Kathy, have fun my dear.....
DorK, I am sure I will read that you found Chrissy with out any trouble at all. I knew it, I knew you could figure it out. Glad you have the shivagit attitude about your house, as I'm almost certain that Chrissy is not there to see your house. I am sorry to hear that you and DH are spatting. Love your Roller Coaster Drink and the Welcome to America.
NM........congrats on that bone scan girl! So glad you got results already. PARTAY for sure!
My friend here, that I had mentioned a few weeks ago, that had a bad scan......well I had texted her one day and she had just got done from having biopsy, so I texted back a few days later (when she was supposed to get results) and I get no reply. So, on that Friday I went in to Lowes to look for her, she's not there. Well I went in again yesterday, and she was there. She see's me and immediately says "I'm fine" and immediately back to her I say "I'm gonna kill you". Well, she had her phone stolen! Anyways, what they found on her were cells attacking scar tissue. So, I'm hoping that some of the issues I am having are going to prove similar!
Damn it Kitty! I am so sorry hon, but glad that bottle of Jack got a smile out of you, even if temporary. Hoping it is a bad reaction (which still sucks, but better than the alternative) and will say a prayer for you. You are another one that has been through SO MUCH! And you ARE NOT ocd. We have REAL, WARRANTED FEARS. Glad you found something that can take your mind off the fact that it could be worse. (don't' even want to say it)
Yaaaa.......Chrissy has arrived and in the shower! I will be reading in anticipation. Just read about the cruise and the sick blonde....that is funny Dork, and I'm glad you aren't her either. We have enough gorgeous blondes here as it is (Kitty, Kymn, Beans, Donna and Mitch) not to mention any names!
Oooh Donna, good news all around for you. I'll have to give ya a call, but will wait until next week to do so. I don't want to interrupt the great weekend you have planned. Have a blast!
Beans, love love love your lampshade kitty. Too cute. And my head is fine, you really dint bump it too bad.
NM is back in da house! Funny about Beanie still being clothed! LMAO! And love the Caturday, so cute!
Well our day in town: Lunch at a place we hadn't been to in awhile, they had moved. I had fabulous Sept salad, with grapes, raspberries, walnuts, pine nuts, blue cheese....omg, can't think what else and a raspberry vinaigrette dressing. DH gets a BLT, with about 3 pc of bacon on it for $9.00 (terrible) my salad was HUGE! Went to the movies (again)0 -
Scuba, sorry I bumped ya, me hopes me did not knock over your bloody mary. If so, the tenders will clean it up and gitcha another.
The sun is shining in this area for both Lisa and Chrissy...
...it is going to be a fine day. 0 -
DorK, you are up early, for staying up so late! Don't ya just want to go in there and wake her up? Just to be selfish? You guys have a great day!
Here is a picture of a T shirt my DD sent me. I wore it all day, got home and happened to catch the margarita glass on it! Had not seen that, not when I opened it, not when I put it on! And of course it say St. John's VI on it. Pay no attention to my frumpy hair! I will get to my hair stylist in MI in 2 weeks. (I can't wait)
0 -
awww, Lori, you look so cute. What a cute shirt, how sweet of your DD to send to you.I just love seeing photos of my breast friends. Wanna pop into the lounge and drink with me?
and yes, I was awoken by my dogs. I thought that since I had them out before bed, that they would sleep in too but no. I had to feed them and decided to just brew coffee and wait for Chrissy to wake up on her own. We have to go food shopping today but other than that, no firm plans. She will attend church with me tomorrow so that is exciting and will make the first time going easier as I do not know anyone but a friend of the friend we met at Myrtle Beach with the same name as DH. (My DH stands for d!ck head). ooops, did that slip out?
Kathy and Beanie, I am waiting in the lounge for you girls. I want to tell you about the special moment after Chrissy had her shower and we sat down to the big surprise you gals ordered, it ws such a special surprise. Thanks girls for thinking of us and sending Jocks, Pants and Hunk with presents and also dancing for us, oh baby, they were hot hot hot hot!!
Karen, thinking of you dear and hoping you enjoy the weekend.
Off to the races.

Welcome everyone!!!!
So glad you are getting your beauty sleep Chrissy.
Not much to report here other than I am off cycling. Want to maintain my conditioning and take off some more lard. Still a bit too much of me.
Anyway, wishing everyone the most fantabulous Labor Day Weekend. - Claire

Thanks everyone for the encouraging words. I'm sitting outside with my cup of coffee with my DH. We haven't been able to do this in months because it's been so dang hot. It sounds like the partay has already started! It's noon somewhere, right?
I did my usual OCD move and researched the heck out of this issue I'm having. A couple of the gals from the recon threads think it's a reaction to the Alloderm. One girl had the same issue. So I'm hoping it's not an infection and I don't have to go back in for surgery. I'm so glad BCO exists. I've learned so much from the girls here and this thread has always lifted my spirits!
I agree... F'in Cancer!!! It causes too many issues and takes too many lives! Ugh!
So what is the drink of the day??? We got to think of something for Chrissy B's trip to America. Or maybe something with caffeine in it for DorK. LOL!!!0 -
I forgot to mention that I'm no longer a blonde. Decided to go back to my roots (no pun intended) and be brunette again. Goldie is one smokin hot blonde! Love the margarita t-shirt and the hair!
0 -
Kittycat - Praying for no more surgery too! You look stunning blond or brunette!

Hi ya goils!!!! Thanks one and all for the welcomes!!!!! and I am haing a great time with Dotty!!! Poorbaby, I think I wore her out last night so she is presently having a little nap and catching up on the Zzzzzzz's that she missed out on. She is such a special girl and I love her to bits!!! she is making me feel right at home with her.
Our cruise and dinner were marvelous! The food was yum and the weather was perfect for the cruising. After we ate, we sat outside on the deck and I took some great shots of Philly by night with a super sensitive setting on my camera. Once I down load them, I'll share with you. Here a pic of the two of us on the boat.

I feel like I've been away from the thread for ages but I know it's only a few days, but long enough to miss some important events. Kitty, I sure hope your boobie is njust having a reaction that will clear up quickly. NM, sooooo glad that your news was all good from your scans but such a shame that you needed to worry to begin with. Lori, love the shirt your DD sent, the colours suit you to a 'T'.......lol....get it 'T' as in T-shirt...... okay, okay, I'm a little fatigued so the humour is not working right! Yay Scuba, looking forward to Wednesday and spending some time hanging out! Beans love, love, love all the kitties....they are all so cute! Stanzie, that show sounds great! I'm still hoping that we can catchup at the airport! Fingers are crossed!!
Well, time to go give Dotty the wake up call she ordered!!! Catch you all later!!!!
Love n hugs. TITZ UP!!!!!!!! Chrissy

Cute pic! Sounds like you gals are having a blast!!!
The redness in my foob is lighter today. I really hope it goes away. I was really happy wallowing in my sorrows and being a slug in the sofa. My DH invited people over tomorrow for a BBQ. I told him to cancel it. I wasn't in the mood to entertain people. Since I feel better today, he thinks it's a good idea to still have these people over. So, I'm making him do all the chores to get the house ready. He has a sore knee still from surgery, so I don't know why he'd want to do all of this. I can't drink either. Plus, neither of us can go swimming. Men!!!!0 -
Hope you gals don't mind me barging in but just wanted to welcome Chrissy and say all you East Coasters should join us for dinner Monday at Fridays in Mt Laurel. Funny thing is I thought it was in Moorestown.
Can't wait to meet Chrissy and everyone else!0 -
How Cute You Both Are!!!!!! Love the Picture!!!! I want to be there!!!!!! So glad you all are having such fun!

Hello girls,
Will be taking Chrissy to the likker store but we will be toasting each of you wonderful girls. Gotta fly, ba-bye for now.....
Cheers!

As long as you LadieZ do this at home. There is such a thing as "over toasting"!!!
And don't worry about what Chrissy thinks. It's us Americans who are prudish about "likker". - Claire

Here I am, behind all the news again. Welcome, Chrissy...I did catch that and the cruis picture! NM, good news on your recent scare. Karen, hope things are looking up. I am back to school full time but still tired most afternoons. Am 10 days out from the 33 rads and the long drives. Stayed home today instead of driving to watch my beloved Huskers (and basis for my user name!) in their Big 10 debut. (They won-go Nebraska!) Enjoyed the time alone at home and watched them on TV instead. Loving my little Gracie. Have had her for a month now and she is 3 months old. Scuba, welcome. I see you have jumped right into the group without hesitation! Claire, it is 61 degrees tonight after many days in the 90's with high humidity. Will need a jacket tonight if I have to get up with my lil pup-pup. Here is a new picture. Kymn, I am surprised you are dismissed to your family doc too. You aren't even done with rads. I don't understand that. I know docs are different from place to place, but that seems pre-mature. I too, will see my onc every 3 months for the next 3 years. The RO and BS think every 3 months for them too, but really-do I need to see all 3 every 3 months? I will get blood work done next week before my 3-mo onc check the following week. Am a little nervous about that, but think we all must have that fear. Hair is returning and over one inch long. Have been wearing the wig to school, but ditching it on the drive home. Will return to school Tuesday with the uber-short hair. Had hoped to get it colored first, but that didn't happen (Procrastination and I are good buddies). Am nervous about that as well, but can't tolerate the wig any longer, especially when I have recess duty at 11:30 in the morning and it is already 85-90 degrees with no breeze! It's been awhile since I've enjoyed a choco-mint Bailey's, but tonight seems like a good time to have a sip. It's cold outside!
Here's my baby, Gracie Lu:
0 -
Husker....I do the coloring job myself. Made a major difference a year ago when I was rocking uber short. Glad you are ditching the wig.
Loving your new family member.
I asked, and I am not doing blood work any more. I think the reason for the oncologist is that 1) I am a "high risk" patient and 2) I am in two studies. So part of the study protocol.
I just ate a steak w/fresh beans, tomatoes, and fresh local potatoes. Wine too of course.
I watched the sunset, and yes, life is good. Am going to the housewarming party next Saturday of two new neighbors. So should be great fun as well.
Will be up early in the AM for a ride and a longer one on Monday. Plan on collapsing on Tuesday as I resume the job search.
Major toast to Chrissy!!!! - Claire

Hi ladies! Been missing the HTL... picked up DD in San Francisco yesterday and she had a really bad cold (like mine). Funny we both got so sick and weren't even in the same town... Took WD for a super long walk today. We walked to Capitola Village where everyone is getting ready for the Begonia Festival parade tomorrow. They make floats out of begonias and float them down the river toward the sea. Here is one from last year:

This is the 59th year and the theme is Let's Dance. There is always a great poster by a local artist. This year:

DD2 rode on one of the floats a few years ago. She and her friend were waving on the front page of the local paper. So today we walked along the river and watched the teams assembling their floats.
Sounds like we had a couple of scares this week... NM, so glad you had good test results. Kittycat, hope everything is ok.
Enjoying a nice glass of fiano. I think that is Italian for "yummy".

Kitty, so glad the redness is dissipating, yippee for you. I hope you have a nice time at your barbque. Hate the no swimming thing too, I have lost most of two summers in my pool due to beast.
Husker, nice to see you, missed you. Hope you get energized soon. Your Gracie Lu is a doll, love her.
Reese, yikes, never PM'ed you back. I had many PM's to catch up on after being away and since I do not delete any, I jumped over ya, sorry. See you for dinner Monday. And fyi, one side of centerton rd is mt laurel and the other moorestown, hense your confusion.
Stanzie, thanks for the kind words on the pic. The night was like a dream. I have only been on a cruise ship for my bro's wedding, then I got of as it sailed away lol. I hope you had a day of zero unwelcomed critter in your home.
RW Katrinskar Raquel Kathy, I hope you are winning big $. Miss you oodles here.
Well my mum (Chrissy) said I have to be in bed by midnight and also stop at one drink so I must go before I turn into a pumpkin!
One and done I am tonight, hops the bar is hopping for all ya chickies. Have a wonDeRful night
Cheers cheers and a bucket of beers....oh, jk about mum giving me orders, she wore MY a$$ out.

Heather, so so sorry for the issues you are having and that you can get them resolved SOON. Glad you and hubby got a chance to sit outside. I know you are hotter there than I am, but it has been triple digits here. And I agree with Stanzie, you are stunning no matter what. And having a party when you aren't up to par? Junie has done that too! I hope it doesn't end up being more than you can handle, and the friends are close enough of friends, that you can ask for help.....or ask them to leave!
Chrissy, your humour IS working! And yes, the shirt fits to a T, thanks. Love picture of you and DorK. I don't know if we were to meet, I could call her Dottie or Dorothy....her name is DorK! BEAUTIFUL photo of the 2 of you! I LOVE IT, and can't wait for more. I have one of DorK passing money off to a what looks to be a rather good looking man.....HMMMMM!
Husker, your Gracie Lu is so so cute. I can imagine just holding her ALL the time! Hope you got to have your choc-mint baileys.
Astorm, that festival sounds great! Floats from Begonias? Sorry you and your girls have been sick. Perhaps you shared some germs when you were there last?
LOL...Mum! So cool that you guys are together and having so much fun. Looking forward to more. DorK, we know you can do videos....hint hint! Would love to hear Chrissy, as I just know she has that beautiful Aussie accent. And welcome Reese.
Ms Katrinka......I hope you are winning BIG and that the gambling Gods are being kind to both you and hubby.
Thanks all for the comments too, I just love my new T. I am also wearing a necklace that my DD sent at Mothers Day, but that is hard to see in this photo. Oh gosh, what should have for a drink? Chrissy....I think you should pick.
CHEERZ0 -
Chrissy chose raspberry vodka and lemon aide as the DOTD. Me, the usual. We are bonding like sisters, she is a beautiful human and so very inspriational. I am trying to talk her into staying to be my personal shrink but she says no, she must move on. We had a wonderful day and we both got in the pool. I had my first dive since surgery and am not feeling bad. It felt sooooo good to get in the water. Had a full house today, my DH, my DD, my exhub, my daughter and DH's DD's all were here at some point in the day and we spend most of the day outdoors.
Funny thing, we went to church and I was getting a little bored and went inside my head thinking about our failure to get vodka last night. Seems NJ has "blue laws" which prohibit purchasing of vodka after 10pm on Saturdays, stinking NJ government. We tried twice and I even begged at a liquor store which we arrived at 10:02. Soooo as we were walking to the car after church, she said, ok, can we go get my vodka now?? I cracked up as I was thinking the same thing just minutes before. LMAO over that, perhaps you had to be here to get it but it was something how our minds were in the same gear. Church to likker store. Truly a delightful day and my heart is overflowing with love.
Can't wait until tomorrow night when we are having dinner with other bco friends, one driving in from Mass.
Why is the lounge so quiet, are you gals all teeny tiny and wif us here? Hmm, I tink I saw a little Lori popping out of my bushes then walaa, she was gone. I also saw Kathy up in the tree looking down, she was the size of a squirrel and had a drink in her hand ten times her size hehehehe, I cwack my damnself up.
Heather, hoping to hear more good news from you.
Scuba, wtg in ridding yourself of those pratt fn brat. Hope you are feeling better today.
Stanzie, thanks for the kind words.
To all, have a great night a great holiday. Sending rounds of shots, buckets of dog beers and a double round of hugs.
Nighty night!
Peace, love and happiness from NJ to wherever you are.
CheerZ!

HOLY THE COW - this is the quietest this lounge has ever been! Where the heck is everyone? Hoping everyone is just enjoying the holiday weekend.
CALLING ALL LOUNGETES, PLEASE CHECK IN.
DorK/Chrissy - OMG, that is hilarious about rushing to the likker store after church. Hoping Chrissy got her vodka. Her drink sounds similar to Scuba's blueberry vodka and lemonade, so I would imagine the raspberry would be just as yummy.
Well we had some old friends stop by (they had moved 5 hrs away) their son still lives in this area. Anyways they came with 3 girls. Their 10 yo adopted daughter, who is mentally challenged, 4 yo foster child and their 1 yo grand daughter. I had so much fun with them, and they had fun playing with my doll babies and teddy bears. Took them for a ride on the quad, and when it was time for them to leave, the four yo was MAD. She did NOT want to go, it was so cute. I have slobber finger prints on my windows! I LOVE IT! Some sad stories to go along with the 4 yo, but she was such a cute little girl and so sweet and polite.
Since I only check in, in the mornings.....I would like some raspberry wodka (as Beans would call it) and lemonade today.

I'M here! Yesterday was a quiet day, possibly as I slept till after noon! Lovely!!! so we just had a quiet day, had thought it was going to rain all day yesterday and today but just got a short shower yesterday. Anyway, My son and daughter and I watched a most horrible and awful movie on Friday night. It wasn't rated R or anything but certainly should have been! But it was so bad it was hard to be offended by it, if that makes sense except for one part! Which I will not describe but needless to say my kids can NEVER say they would be embarrassed to watch a movie with me after that one. Luckily my daughter left early in the movie.Anyway we had watched a preview and it looked really cute and funny - Not! So last night we watched Arsnic and Old Lace! Now that was wonderful - Cary Grant is just hilarious! So as we are watching Booom Boooom Boom. My son says oh gosh it sounds like cannon fire! Somehow I didn't think that seemed odd........
Well, it was Grand and Glorious Fireworks from the Golf Club a little bit away from us. Usually you can only see a bit of color peeking through the trees but this was more like a professional show so they were high and my son and I went out in the back yard and could see perfectly. Somehow with the hills the sound echoed and was really loud. My son with DS freaks with loud noises but luckily he was down in the basement watching a movie and never heard a thing. Anyway, that was a fun surprise!
So been laying low... Isn't Kathy in casino land still? hope she is winning big time!
Oh, DorK - you are too funny! Sounds like you are having a blast and how fun to have so many over at your house! I keep thinking I'll have house full of people but it never seems to happen. Or if I do it isn't people I really know it is for something else...Hope neither of you turned into pumpkins but if you did - we want pictures!
Heather- hope you got out of the party or at least your hubby did all the work. How are you doing?
Lori- Aww so very wonderful and special your friends having all those lovely children. I can't imagine how people can be cruel to children, but I know it happens. I'm sure they are very loved now and that will help heal them. Sounds like they had a blast at your home.
Husker- that little puppy is so sweet! thanks for sharing the picture!!
Gail - Oh I love floats and begonias how wonderful! Sounds just lovely!
Beanie oh Beanie.....
Ok, I'd better get up and start doing things..... DorK wish I was teeney with you all - sounds like Chrissy has the perfect welcome to the States - Thanks for doing us all proud!
Kathy- hope you are not running into bad storms - check in when you can! Miss you!
