    Lago....how appropriate

Good morning everyone.  There is sun here to start the day which is nice.  It helps when you wish to enjoy the sensation of feeling hopeful about things.  Sounds like we will have a slight warm up for the next few days.....maybe I can put away my light jacket again for a while.

Nothing much planned today but my usual. Every day for me is a little bit of a work day, but there is room for many other things as well.

I hope you all have a very good day and I will be thinking of all of you.  Big hugs to Mak, Jenn and sweet Wendy TY.

Morning everyone--what a beautiful day! I hope everyone has an opportunity to get out today and enjoy what will be one of the nice last days of summer. :)

Been trying to catch up here.  Lisa, I agree with Lago, the only time I can exercise is when I make the time and multi-task is very early in the morning.  I wake up at 5:30am and put in a load of laundry and make a pot of coffee.  Then I do some sort of exercise for 30 min (using On Demand/Exercise TV).  By the time I am done, I can put the wet laundry in the dryer and wake up the kids for breakfast and get a cuppa.  Granted mine are a little older, so they are helping make the breakfast (they are 10 and 7). I either cut up or make sure there is some fruit on their plate or make quick banana strawberry smoothies for them.

If I can (which I usually can't) I try to fold the laundry before I leave.  If not, it is getting folded that night after the kids go to bed.  I try to do a load a day and so far this has been working.  Their clothes might be a bit wrinkled, but at least they are clean! :)

I had my exchange surgery on Friday and feeling great.  I love my new foobie!  Really just love them.  Not a lot of swelling, no drains and no surgical bra, I was sent home in an ace bandage which I have been wearing at night. My PS seems to go on the fast track from what I have read and compared here, but I love his work and haven't had any complications yet. Bruised from fat grafting, but not bad. I am going to Nordstrom today to get a fitting and get some new bras.  I don't know what size I am, but I know I am not a B!  I tried on my old bras today.  No go.  I look like a "C" but probably will wind up wearing a D due to the width.

I don't know when I will have nipples done, assuming some time in November.

What a great day!  DD ran the half marathon this morning  in prep for the whole marathon next month....speaking of exercise!  This talk of exercise is so timely.  I have no reason NOT to exercise regularly (no young kids and no job on most days) so I am glad to have my consciousness raised again!  I am taking time today to create a plan for myself which as Wendy would say includes getting off  my lazy butt

Racine was great!  We went to a lighthouse that was built in 1880 and all the Wright stuff was wonderful and ate lunch along the lake......perfect!

Hope all are feeling well.  Five years ago this week I was recuperating from the first surgery (had to go back to clean up margins).  I was in lala land  I kept a journal and I know about stuff only because I wrote most every day.  I wish I had known this place existed.  If you stop and think about it....this is a great way to "store" memories....both trhe sweet times and the bitter times.'

    Take care!

Agreed this is a great place to store memories.  I post on a few different boards here, and I like the good food choice and daily exercise threads.  Mostly bc I feel as if I have to catch up and contribute.  Can't contibute if I don't do either of these things. :)

Corinne, is there a thread to share exercise "efforts"?  That could help some of us be more accountable until the habit sets in.  They say that  behavior becomes habit after 5 weeks.  That would mean that after 5 weeks of "forced" exercise, I may develop the habit and will just need to do the exercise to feel my day is actually complete.  Let us know where to find the thread?  This board has gotten so huge that I rarely leave "home".

Hey ladies...in the car driving back from Cincinnati for a funeral. Checking in from my phone. So much to read...you ladies are chatty! I love that! I am going to have to start cracking the whip on exercise aren't I?? Remember...I am a fitness instructor.... :-). I have been good with exercising but I am no longer working full time since we moved here. That makes it so much easier. I go to Lifetime Fitness for now in Bloomingdale every morning. If anyone is in the area and wants to meet up...let me know!

Jenn...pick a date. I get my son on the bus at 830am and meet the bus again at 330pm. Other than that I am open. I would love to walk outside near the river...it is so beautiful here!

For those dealing with chemo...you are in my prayers. I hope SE are minimal and you feel good. Try walking or exercise if you can..I believe it helped me through chemo a lot.

For those with surgery recently or approaching..I am sending quick healing vibes.

I hope everyone has a great week. I will check in later not from my phone. Typing on the phone is way harder!!

If only DRIVING counted as exercise, I would be so good!  FOUR soccer games and a basketball tryout for one of the twins.  Voice and dance lessons for the other twin.  In between drove the older daughter to cheer practice 20 miles away, and let my DH take the DS into the city for youth symphony.  I just sat down for the first time since Friday night, I am exhausted, and have to prepare for a major presentation tomorrow..... going to be a bad end to a great weekend.........

Lisa, you are the BEST MOM!  I remember going to my DD's sport events and staying off alone to correct essays.  I wish I could go  back and be engaged as you are now with your kids.  I was there...but not there!   You have so much going on and I think you are fantastic...with or without the exercise.

Oh, Susan you are so nice.  I have to admit I am finding all of this to be just so much fun, my daughter was so happy that soccer season finally kicked off, she volunteered to play an extra game yesterday.  Her enthusiasm is infectious!

And Corinne, I wish I had your discipline at 5:30 in the morning......

Joan  I got rid of my old B flats long before chemo ended. I knew I wasn't going back to those. I always planned on going fuller.BTW I ended up returning all the bras (except one) that I purchased at Marshalls the other day. Husband was disappointed. I purchased some really nice lacy onces are Nordstrom rack. So cool to go into the dressing room with 2 bras… and have them fit perfectly. This is a new experience for me. I have choices! I think I found my brands.

Got some great exercise today with Char. We went to the Renegade Craft Fair… and lost my car for a while. I forgot we parked north of Milwaukee Ave. Tongue out We had a great time.  Only downer was the car accident on the way home less than 1 mile from my condo. I was completely stopped at a red light. I think the guy who rear ended me was texting or on his cell. He had the nerve to say I stopped short. I was stopped for quite a while before he slammed into me. No driver's license on him either. I ended up calling the DH and the police. Aleve is taking care of the shoulder pain and head ache. No damage to either car. I'm hoping it will feel better in a few days. It's alway something.

So how are the treatment gals doing?

Oh that sucks Lago!  Glad to hear that there wasn't any damage...did he get a ticket (or two?).

Corinne The police had to take him to the station for several citations including driving without his license. I don't know if he had one but he certainly did not have one with him. His girl friend (her car) was not happy. She showed up as well at the accident scene.

Robo Believe it or not I didn't buy any jewelry. Got a belt buckle, Tee shirt and a stuffed cigarette (to hit my husband with every time he smokes).

mdg and robo - Oh, suuure.  Now that I've quit that particular Lifetime, I find other people who are going there.  ;)

I go to the Cardinal Fitness that's a bit closer and a lot cheaper now - mostly because my friend who couldn't afford Lifetime also goes.  We take turns motivating each other to go.  We've been pretty lax lately though.

Ok.....temps are now going back up.  All right with me as no humidity included.  Sun is coming down thru the trees which have a few somewhat dried looking leaves.....sure to be coming off soon.  It is about time to think on the excessive yard cleaning that needs to take place this time of yr.  Not my favorite thing to do, but actually good exercise.

Hope you are all feeling well and looking forward to a good week.  I'm never sure but putting a smile on my face always gets me started in the best direction for it.

I'll be checking in later.  See you then.

    Hugs, Jackie

Hi there.. Lots of reading I had to do to catch up!!   I've become a crazy work-out person myself.. IF I don't do it, I feel horrible.. physically and mentally.. like over the weekend because I have all three kids to take care of.. so there I was on my stepper at 8:30 last night.. but it's old and makes too much noise.. so baby couldn't sleep.. :(   I'm doing 30 min a day and 40 min yoga tape a day..

Question for all of you.. since when I try to search this it just pops up with everything that has the word "breast" on the forum.. ie EVERYTHING...  Since I started this chemo, and especially yesterday, my breast tumor has been really hurting.. Did any of  you experience pain at any point? I know you all had surgery, but maybe you can remember prior to that? I've heard it being a good sign that the chemo is working.. but I swear my boob feels harder.. and I'm freaking!!

Other than that.. feeling great.. well until Wed when I start back up again and find out how my blood counts are behaving..

mdg so far I feel better than I did last night. Last night I took Aleve. Today took nothing but it's a little tight in the shoulder. Tomorrow I should know for sure.

Makmak I too have heard others say their tumor hurt when on chemo and it ended up shrinking. I had surgery first so I can't speak from personal exerience.

Char I can't wait to see your coat either. I saw a blazer in a fashion magazine today that closed  on the side similar to your coat.

Lago!- That fair looks great.  I never heard of it but have made a note for next year!  Stinks about being rear ended... heh, heh, rear ended.  I am amazed at how many people I see texting and driving.

Mak- Hope you are having fun scrapin' and great job with the exercise.

Peace, hugs and healing vibes to all.

I saw a posting about coordinating a dinner?  I'm in.  Has a date been set?  Place?  I would love to meet you all.

Also, I live on the NW side of Chicago so if some are looking to carpool, I would be willing to drive.

Makmak you are so darn cute. Thought that from the first time I met you. This picture futher confirms it.

Madmom I had made an appointment with naturally yours to get my hair cut off. They predicted what day it would start to come out. The day before my appointment I called and  told them nothing was happening. They said "keep the appointment." Sure enough the next day it really started to come out.

So this (below) is what I got my husband at the Renagade Craft Fair yesterday. I figure everytime he comes back from having a cigaratte I can beat him up with this guy. Tongue out
