oh yeah - I bet you are rocking that red hair, Candy Glitz Thighs. Now I must see this in person, I can picture the new granade-free you. Just starting on the dom here. By my standards, had a busy day. popped in to work and working on getting back sooner rather than later. Was just snoozing on my patio, still exhausted from past two weeks, all worth it though I could whine about how sore I am but when i think of the stage IV gals I have met, I am trying to kick the whine to the curb and be as brave as my friends who are suffering so much more. I just got a message from Chrissy's host and of course dear Chrissy passes on the most sweet message, my heart is warm.
Sorry this post is about me, I am feeling something weird inside, not sure if depression over returning to work, pain, emotional drainage over my folks but I think I need to finish off the bottles of Dom here.
Kitty, missed you today in my post, so glad you hear that red is still gone, great job. You were cracking me up too, just ca not remember, something about walking your neighborhood incognito lol.

Sugar Honey Jugs checking in.....came home from work and had a couple glasses of cabernet then fell asleep on the sofa...DD wanted to let me sleep but DH said no....got up and made spaghetti and meat sauce with salad for dinner....then DH took me for a walk.....think I've probably had enough wine for the night.......

Own that red hair, Candy Glitz Thighs!!! Sometimes hair color is the only thing we CAN change. I went from a blonde to a chocolate brunette last week (tee hee!). DH doesn't care for it, but he's not wearng it.

To all the loungettes should are still going through chemo, radiation, or reconstructions, remember this too shall pass. From the sounds of it, each of you are taking your steps day by day towards the goal. You can't do any more or any less than that!! WOO WHOO I think I've about reached the end of my bmx journey. My radiated skin probably won't make a good fipple construction (high loss rate), so nixing that idea. But I'm open to 3D tattooing maybe when it comes to the point where I can stand to have anyone touching my foobs. (ya'd think after eight months, touch sensitivity wouldn't be an issue...)

Good Morning Girlz! Again, thank you for the wonderful Birthday Wishes yesterday! It was great, I even managed some more bubbly b4 dinner. And dinner was so exquisite, with wonderful fillets, and an amazing chocolate dessert served on a huge slab of granite! This is a private club, and it was empty last night, so I had ALL the attention, even was given a rose as we were seated. We don't belong to it, but got in on a LS deal, so even though still $$$, did save a bunch. They just built a gorgeous bldg on the edge of a lake w/gondolas, in upscale area, so the setting and all was just perfect! Then a nice walk after dinner. Then,......*shhhhhh*....TMI...j/k!
NM, Have a nice,smooth trip to Vegas, and then LET THE FUN BEGIN!!!!! Hope you have bunches of un and even win some $$$. Are you going to see a show? The free shows are great too....the Bellagio Fountains, the volcano (if its still there), the pirate show (if its still there), and of couse seeing the Conservatory (aaccck brain freeze, forget which hotel), and even walking thru the Ventian, etc. Hope you can post while you are there and let us know how much fun you are having!!!

Karen, Guess it was good your DH wanted you to fix dinner and go for a walk, instead of sleep. At first I thought it sounded a bit selfish of him, then on further thought, realized he was smart not to let you come home and go right to sleep. When we are depressed, sleep is the one thing that is most desired, so with him encouraging you to stay awake and keep busy, I am thinking that is prolly a good thing. Hope so, anyway! Really hope you can get on top of things, and that the meds will work, etc. SO glad we have you here with us in the lounge, and even if you have sad days, remember we are here for you!

Sorry though that you did not sleep well, and hope your appt goes well today. Gotta get you ALL healed up! How is your hand and arm? You are right....I picture NJ as just a small place with crowded bldgs! And when we flew into AC on a gambling trip, only saw the casinos, nothing else. Nice to hear how pretty it really is, and see some of that when you post a pic. Our state has a bad rap too....everyone thinks we are all rednecks living in trailers! In fact, the city we live in is rather new, and sooooo many tech people and defense people, lotta upscale areas, nice shopping,dining, theater, mountains, lakes, etc. I think N AL is much prettier than the rest of the state, except for the Gulf Coast which has beautiful beaches. I chose to move here many yrs ago and still love it, but always have to defend it when we travel and meet people, cause they at first sorta grimace when I say Alabama! So yeah, I concur wid ya DorK....funny when our state gets such a bad rap, and in reality it is so different!

Lisa - Have fun being a redhead! My grandmother had redhair and my Mom always hoped one of us would get her hair so one day I decided to have my hair dresser turn my hair red! It was a total spur of the moment. So afterwards went to my Mom's house - well, My sister fell off the bed yelling"Oh No, its awful!!" My mom was totally speechless and said she couldn't comment till she could get used to it. I went to work and do you know not ONE person said a thing. So I kept going and looking in the mirror to make sure I actually did dye my hair. After the second day of no one saying anything I went back and had my hair returned to blond and haven't ever changed it since. Now I really wonder why it was such a strange reaction.
Kathy I know what you mean about Alabama and the redneck sterotype, when my sister went to college up north people asked her if she lived on a plantaion!
DorK - NJ has some really beautiful areas - My Grandfather has a huge tree farm in Absecon right on the river and it was lovely.
Lori- I used to love Survivor but hadn't gotten into as much now that the kids need more attention and or feel guilty while they are slaving away at homework.

DorK - my BIL's name is Bob not Bill but thanks for the prayers. I think he will need them greatly. The surgery will be the 19th provided all the testing goes well on Thursday and Friday.
Gyn apt was Ok yesterday except that it really hurt. I don't remember that happening before. The other thing that was odd was that in the waiting room there was a young woman who asked another woman how much are co-pays. She didn't really answer her so I explained that it depended on her insurance. So that was sort of strange that she wouldn't know but? Anyway, one things I found is that you can hear everything from one exam room to the next!!!! So I heard the conversations with that young woman and the doctor. I don't think she had ever been to a doctor before and she didn't understand whether she was married or not? It was odd, but the doctor was very patient and kind explaining things to her and helping her to understand about getting pregnant. Anyway, I meant to say something to the doc when she came in but had been waiting a long time and didn't think of it. Also when she came in - she had read my chart(had seen the other doc before) and when she looked up and saw me it was like she was surprised I looked OK. On my chart it says MS and BC but I kept thinking what on earth did she expect to see differently? Odd.

I am always so sore from the under side of my breast around to the back muscle. Sometimes it just throbs. I am thinking it may be that I strained myself while diving from my spring board as it seems that the pain is worse now. There are times that Pants needs to come by and take my bottle away cuz i start feeling like Super Woman when I dwink. Can someone suggest that to him?

So I've probably already told this, but you know I worked in theatre, well there was this one very sweet actually very normal actress, very pretty and just nice. Well, one day in all seriousness she came into rehearsal and asked the director, who was a long time friend, that she had been thinking about getting a professional "screen name" so what did he think about Fancy Good Night? Believe me it was a sheer act of acting brilliance for this man not to burst into laughter, I excused myself.... She really thought that might be normal? Names gotta love um.... Went to school with Crystal Ball.

I am jealous, Princess Glitter Tower...oh how I would LOVE to lie in bed....margarita helps too! We were with the contractors getting estimates for work on our house, then took them to the condo. Going to have them tile the screened-in room and also replace all the screens and paint. THought they would want to start there first, but they want to start here at 8:30 am, then go there at noon. So DH and I have been all over Home Depot and Lowe's getting what materials we could find. Just got home and have about an hr till I leave for another fun painting class. This is the one where we do a HUGE Georgia O'Keefe Poppy, and $25 of the fee goes to the Susan G. Komen fund. I am hoping this time it is a good teacher.....same one did the first 2 classes, and she was terrible. It didn't even show her as a teacher when I signed up for that last one! Either way, I will end up with a huge, red poppy!!! Decided to paint my outdoor porch swing a brilliant blue, so got the spray paint today....primed it the other day. Stanzie, I corrected your stripper name...the correct one DOES sound more stripper-ish! Funny about that name your actress acquaintance thought of! LOL. OK girlz, starting happy hr early w/ 1 glass of bubbly (all that I had left) w/ peach schnapps. Then will take wine with me (moscato!) to painting class...cause it is more fun when you are dwinking!!!!

Trying to play more as it feels good to leave the dorkY mind and body and enter a new place, that is what making music does to me. Decided after seeing my PT/PHD that I have to do more to please myself and the piano is it today. Will play the flute when I find it. Lisa, funny how we see the things that used to be simple as liberating post bc (taking a wiz without drains), may seem like a little thang to the general public but it IS a big step. I hope you stop being so wet, ya know. I may be having an aspiration tomorrow with my 3rd fill. That was me playing. Did a half hour, then took a walk with my little doggie around my hood. My new shrink works wonders! Oh, oops, he is a PT/PHD, get it right DorK. He is really growing on me Lisa. Both he and the nurse mentioned you. I also told them that I think I have recruited yet another breast friend to Jeff, she has just been diagnosed and reached out to me. This type of thing makes me feeling like I am doing God's work. So fullfulling to give back what the girls gave me. I really wished I had found you girls sooner, I was on my own from DX last June to September, two months post tiddy lopping.
Feeling sad today knowing that tomorrow will be my last visit to my PS. He has been a great inspriation to me as well and it saddens me so that his carreer has been cut so short due to the f'ing beast. I was shocked to hear his age, only 59 and dieing from this fn disease, he is stage IV lung cancer. I dread tomorrow as the entire staff is very upset over his sudden retirement. I mean the guy is amazing. Sorry am being repetative, time to really drink.

just popping in to say hi... the heiny hoo was fine (2 sticks, no Pollys). I'm told I have the colon of a 20 YO (guess that means they will leave it alone for 30 years?). The nurse from the surgery center remembered me from my lump and used a pediatric needle for the IV. I'm sleeping off the meds now ... no dwinks for me but tomorrow all mine are doubles! Got a bottle of the widow chilling.

Hi DorK.....did have an extra lamb chop for you which I made with potatoes and sauteed summer veggies.
Has been a major eating day as did a Business Analytics Summit, and had breakfast and lunch there. So a form of Eggs Benedict for breakfast and equally good lunch. I have a networking luncheon tomorrow. I got a great contact today, and hopefully the same tomorrow.
MAJOR LEARNING.....for those who partake of the casinos. I learned today that they put the most profitable machines in spots of highest traffic. So suspect those are the ones you want to stay away from. Suspect those are the most visually enticing too. Thought I would pass this one on. I have no idea how to identify, but would think those a bit away from the major action.
Am off to an early night as my brain is fried from the "fire hose effect". Great info, but I did have to be on my toes. Felt great walking the two miles each way there and back as well as the fact that my outfit looked smokin'.

OMG I have missed a lot tonight. Gail, I wasn't aware of your heiny-scope today either...how did I miss hearing about that? Glad it is "behind" you (pun intended....lol), and all is GOOD!!!! And DorK, oh my I hate hearing that your dear daughter was in the ER....yes, will be praying for her, and hoping things will be okay. Late night, as there were about 60 people in the painting class tonight. Was a fund raiser for Susan G. Komen fund, and to raise money for 3 gals that are going to the race in Atlanta....they made a LOT of money....yay! And all of us survivors raised our hands (only 3 of us there). Instructor asked me if I wanted to tell my story, but I am too shy for that, so suggested we just raise our hands....aren't I chicken little. ANYWAY, DH went to meet our new tenant to sign papers, get deposit,etc, and waited an hr for her, since he didn't have a phone with him. She had called and left a msg on my cell, AFTER the time she was to meet him, and had changed her mind, as her older DD wants to move back home, so they need to stay in the big house. Dang it! And we bought all that beautiful tile today, and have our guy starting tomorrow, to paint the screened room, put up new screens, and tile the concrete floor. Just because we wanted to do that for HER....so now we are back to square one. Aarrgghhhhhhhh.....frustrating!
Tryng to catch up on the shows I missed.....guess I had enough to dwink though....love the signs at the class....about "Do not drink the paint water", since most people bring wine or beer to drink, and it would be REAL easy to grab the wrong cup! Big thunder storms right now....and already Thursday....best to all my bwest fwiends!!!
