Chrissy, Loved your travel update, btw...I always check that thread too. Yeah, you know how DorK is...she has been hogging BOTH Tattie Tenders, all to herself!! BUT, "Hunk" has been filling in, so will have him keep your dwinks filled up, and whatever else you want him to do....
. Have safe travels again tomorrow....can't wait to hear how much fun you will have in FL! 0 -
Hey ladies,
Checking in but checking put. Ever since they pulled the drain out on tuesday, i am feeling reallly crampy (and crappy too!). Put it initially down to cramps from going off the pill, but that was 3 months ago and after nearly 48 hrs, worse not better. Can't move to sit up without help. Am calling BS and PS offices and heading to ER, something ain't right and for once, cocktails and heating pads ain't helping much. If you got any ideas, please advise, more later. Thought getting the damn Pratt brats out was the start of something good. More soon.0 -
Oh no LIsa, many many prayers being sent out to you today. Glad you are going right to the ER, and hope it is something that can be easily taken care of. How horrid to get that sick after taking out those darn drains. Our NM is our resident nurse, but not sure if she is checking in, since she is in Vegas. Please keep us posted when you can, and get well QUICKLY!!! Healing thoughts and prayers being sent your way.........and many (((hugs))).
DorK, How is your dear daughter today?? Hoping and praying she is ok, too.
Love, Kathy

Kathy, writing on behalf of Lisa, they think she has kidney stones. My brain was running crazy when I got her message earlier but she just updated me. I am not a doctor or a kidney stone patient but think this is good news as i feared it was more awful crud. Why why why, we do not deserve this, we are good people. Lisa, hope they are taking good care of you and get you all better. So sorry this happened, bad bad timing stones, tell them to hit the curb with them and toss them far far away. Hope it is nothing more. Damn.
I have not spoken to Jessa today, too early to wake her up but last word last night was that she is doing better. Thanks for praying Wahine. Her health issues have been with us for some time, I just prefer not to get into it here as it pains me so to talk about it. I have been in close contact with my ex and we are working as a team to support her every need at this difficult time for her.
Sometimes life is just not fair, I am getting angry. I can't ask God why as he will not give an answer. I have trouble accepting this at times. Here my PS is dieing, he is only 59 and is one of the best in the country. He is published and also teaches and did an awesome job putting me back right. Why would God take such a talented wonderful man who is so caring and just rip him off at a full life? Why did Junie have to leave us? Why do I have friends who have stage IV bc? I am trying to find the answer and have to just accept these things and not know the whys.
Ok, who is making the drinks this morning???? I am ready to drink. Let's all get teeny tiny and meet Lisa at Jeff ER, hop into her idpad case and crack her up when the staff does not see us??? Kathy, ya in? Love you, girls.

Yikes sorry for all the difficult news this morning. Lisa - hope you are feeling better and the ER was able to fix everything. If it is kidney stones, I know those are quite painful but apparently not as bad if you are male...
And DorK - ongoing health issues in your DS. I'm so sorry. I know how that is and it is very hard. Glad you and your ex can work together to help her. Hope she is doing better soon.
Had a rough rehearsal last night and with the director losing his job he is getting very worried about his finances. I wish I could help them but with all my money being drained out of me with this huge money pit home and can't sell now .... just not sure what to do for them.
Gail glad your procedure went all right. My director's wife had that done on Monday and she is overweight and in a wheelchair but she is very delicate with very sensitive skin and she was telling me how rough all the doctors were with her and how they argued with her over what meds she is allergic to. She is going to write a letter detailing what happend.

Thanks Stanzie for the well wishes
I just got back from the store, had to finish my little gift to my PS and have to be there in an hour. After getting him wine, found out that he cannot drink due to chemo. So am still giving him the wine but also picked up a great assortment of chocolate, yummy candy, a bag of donuts, a wrist band and a little plaque. I just love him so much. I was directed to applaud him when he walks into my room. Our PT said that this is going to be a tough day since it is my PS's last. So sad for him. Wanted to let LOVE YOU balloons but they only had happy birthday and its a boy lol. Oh well, I did my best in a short time. Have to write the card, fingers are shaky as I have to hit the road soon. No shower, will just hip dip and wash face and outta here. It is not a beauty contest over there for sure. Some people think it is (you know the hot chicks we all see at our PS office getting their wrinkles out, those beotches, you all have seen them) ha. We are hot because we have love in our hearts that is so hot, I am burning up. Love you chicks, wish me no tears!! I refuse to say goodbye, I am going to try to stay in contact with my PS if I have to pay my people for his email or addy. I can get his addy from work, ya see, I do know people.
Rant over,
Dork off to the city
(will be missing my Lisa in the lobby today, feel better sweetie pie).

LOL Stanzie, Sugar Night-Shock! Wooooohoooooooo. OH NO, just saw it has changed, but will admit I thought it said Sugar Night-HOOKER, instead of HOOTER!
.....and DorK, those are certainly some dazzling thighs, you hot little mama you! (just sorry you are in pain). LOL @ Kathy working for discounts!
Hmmmm....wondering now the last name of Princess Glitter! But me thinks we should get permission first. I just don't know if it's a good idea to post something as personal as a last name.
DorK, you just never seize to make me laugh. Guessing Kymn's name, helping a friend save time, peeing from laughing, instead of leaking............but oh how true of that. We want to see your painting, and Kathy, we want to see the poppy when you are finished. I did not find BCO until I was finished with treatments, but better late than never, right? So sad about your PS, sending prayers out to him and his family. But how the heck do you go in and pretend you don't know what's going on?
Pink zebra water bottle....uh huh...suuuurreeeee!
Gail, we did not know, you did not tell....bad girl! I thought maybe I missed something until I saw Dork's post and some of the other gals. Glad all is ok. So if you have the colon of a 20 yo, you must have the body of at least a 30 yo! I have to have a scope done too, but the other end! Was not going to tell either, but it is Oct 7.
DorK, truly sorry about your daughter, def. sending prayers your way and hoping she is ok and nothing too serious.
Karen, I'm sure you are excited about the visit...have another glass of wine!
No tenant Raquelle? I'm sorry, you were so excited about her, what a bummer. Glad you had such a great turn out in your painting class. For real, you CAN bring wine or beer?
Oh Lisa, me too praying. What the heck is going on, needing to send out all of these prayers. I so hope you are ok and you or DorK let us know ASAP. Ok, got the update. Hoping it is kidney stones and nothing worse. My DH has been going through that lately, and was in excruciating pain.
I'm in for the trip, will we all fit in the iPad? DorK, glad you and your ex are working things out with your daughter, still saying prayers.
NM, I hope you are having the time of your life!
Chrissy, I read your journal updates first, then head to the lounge!
I will probably not be on for a few days, have to leave here like at 5 in the morning to catch my plane to MI. Will check in when I can, and at the very least, READ. Love and Hugs to all!

Okay, still waiting for official word, but got some good pain drugs, so am at least not doubled over. Had kidney stones 1 other time 4 years ago, it wasn't fun. But, while stress of recent weeks may have contributed, I am thrilled that nothing caused by BS or PS (or the Pratt brats). Just couldn't risk it not to come to ER, pain was doubling me over.
I now have the foobs of a 24 year old, body of a 46 year old, posture of a 90 year old and mental acuity of about a 5 year old - ole Candy Glitz Thighs needs a break!
More once home, will be in the lounge ASAP for the balance of the day. As always, thanks for support, humor and care.
DorK, sorry for misssing lunch, I know today with Dr Moore will be tough. Big hug!0 -
Awwwww DorK, what a sad day for you. I agree, life is not fair, and usually it is the BEST people that end up leaving this life waaaaay too early. Have you read the book "Embraced by the Light" by Betty J. Eadie? I read some of her books after I lost my dear, dear, dear DH....and it brought me some comfort, esp the part about us leaving when we have made an impact, or fulfilled our purpose on earth. (Not the right words but hope you get my drift). I realized my DH had been such a fantastic, loving guy who had left such a positive impact on everyone he met, and for me it would take several lifetimes to achieve as much. She had an out-of-death experience, and how she writes about it all is very moving. SO glad you have your appt today, so you can give him a decent goodbye. I know he has to realize how much he is loved and respected. And glad your DD seems to be doing better. So sorry she has to go through some health issues. (((hugs))). Thanks for the update on Lisa, and hope she is already feeling better!

OOPS bumped into ya Lisa! NOT a good day to bump into you....hope it was a very gentle bump, and I didn't hurt ya. Nice to hear from you, and that things are going to be A-OK!!!!! Also, glad you had contact with DorK, so she was able to update us quickly. Take it easy today!!!!

Wahine, didn't feel the bump a bit due to the pain meds, just want to go home! This iPad at least keeps time moving while I wait. Planning to spend the day on the couch with my cat and old movies.. That's my plan, that assumes I get out of ER sometime today though! Cheers!!!

Good morning, Princess Glitter Tower is not feeling so Glittery this morning, turns out DH doesnt like me after cancer well still loves me but not in love, doesnt like the change cant handle the emotions
.And worst part I cant do anything about it, cant take away the fact I got cancer can I. Well guess I'll have a double and keep them coming, not sure how I am going to negotiate this next phase of my life but have to figure it out. Very sad today. Go ahead and try to guess my name...you wont get it lol...pm me with your guesses and I will let you know who wins

Kymn, that is just horrible, I'm so sorry. You know there are times when one just doesn't know what to say. Does he want to leave, can you do counseling? Maybe Beans, Astorm or DorK can help. But you know, if he does leave you...it's his loss, and would you really want to be with someone like that? What is with men, that they have the BALLS to say they don't like us after we have had cancer! Hugs for you!
0 -
Oh dear Kymnie.....we are all wrapping our arms around you with loving hugs....hope you can feel that. So sad to hear, and I know your heart is breaking. If there is ANYTHING we can do to help....just say the word. Like Lori said, if he does leave, it is HIS loss. Seems like he needs to deal with all those issues, as like you said, there is nothing you can do...you got cancer, you are taking care of getting rid of the cancer, and you are going on with your life. With any major event, we are sometimes changed, and have to deal with the "new" normal. You are very strong, very sweet and caring, very beautiful, and I know you will triumph in the end. Just such a sad process to go through, if it does happen. So sorry....

Lori, How did I miss your first post of the day??? I just saw it now, and apparently posted AFTER your post. Sheesh!!! I mean, DOUBLE SHEESH. Yes, they do encourage bringing wine or beer....and she always states "do not drink the paint water" as it is so easy to pick up the wrong glass! By drinking, it takes out some of the inhibitions, and we always do have fun, at the very least. First time I had the owner teach, and she is so energetic and a lot of fun (even had some curse words!)....she has a 2 yo and 4yo and paints to calm herself! There are usually 1-2 guys in the class. More fun going with a friend, but I went solo last night, and as my DH says, "I never have met a stranger"....so I talk and have fun with whoever I am sitting near. I do need to touch up the painting though.....will do that later. Have a GREAT trip tomorrow, good flights, safe travels! Let us know when you arrive, although if we peek out we will know, as we will be teeny tiny and in your travel purse. Too stuffy to be in the suitcase....much better to be able to breathe...lol. Hope you will have time to come here and post while you are there!
Sounds like a LOT OF HUGS are needed today....this is for everyone.... (((((HUGS)))))!!!!!

Just learned something, and prolly the other airlines do it too, but Delta just sent an email about how you can TRACK your luggage yourself.... here is the link: https://www.delta.com/baggage/BaggageTrackStatus.action?MkCpgn=EM110901SMSTDOMESTIM04-C-D-A&personalize=remember
I always fly DL and had no idea about this. Maybe you can see if your airline has this feature too, just in case, b4 your trip, Lori? But hoping all your luggage arrives WITH you!!!
OK, major rounds of drinks for everyone today.....have both Tattie Tenders, as well as Hunk and the Wenches busy just mixing all our drinks.....dwink up girlz, sounds like we need it today!

AMEN to that, though with the Dilantin they gave me at the hospital, probably not going to be in the lounge very long. HUGS to all.

Kymn, I just send you a pm. I am so sorry. I am reaching out to you to help you. You shall find the strengh, some how some way. Are your kids with you?

Kymn - Just sent you a PM as well! Hang in there - We are here for you!!!! I'm so very very sorry!

Oh dear Kymn, I just got on the thread, and oh my, my heart goes out to you, like all of us here. Just so very sad and so very hard. So many of us have been through divorce, and although it is soooo very hard and feels like the ground is coming up to swallow us whole, please be strong and hang in there, dear friend. I think it is even harder, as you have been battling this disease, so your strong feelings are totally normal. I will send you a PM also. Big (((HUGS))) for you, Kymnie.

Kymn (you auto-corrected to Hymn on my iPad, must mean something since there are so many messages being sent on your behalf) hope you are hanging in there. My prayers and thoughts will keep flowing, now and for as long as it takes for you to feel better.
Wanted to post a good bit - feeling much better, appear to have finished with the stupid "stones" in the road to recovery. Wiped out but now back to business of healing from BMx, though with 2 day time out from PT. Just in time, cause my BFF is coming to visit today from London. The only person I would let come as she isn't a guest and can self-entertain. First thing I have looked forward to in a while!
One note, my favorite Ben Franklin quote is "Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.". So my DOTD is going to be a beer, for Kymn, for DorK, and for all of us, we deserve to be happy. Hugs to all, kidney sto es to the curb, cheers!0 -
Chugging some brewsky along with you, Lisa! Glad you are feeling better, and how nice that your dear friend is visiting from London!
Raising my mug of beer to Kymn, DorK, and everyone who needs some hugs today,
Raquelle Leather Rock

Oh dear, Kymn. I'm so sorry you are having a hard time with DH. Mine was passive-aggressive for a couple of years but seems to be coming around. When they separate the girls to tell them about their periods in 5th grade they should take the boys off and give them some lessons on how to be in a relationship with a girl. 1. Learn to accept your feelings and deal with them and stop whining you're not a little boy anymore; 2. Grow up and stop thinking only of yourself you're not a little boy anymore! 3. Communicate your feelings instead of expecting the world to figure out what you want and hand it to you ... things like that... I think it might help.
I'm feeling better today but was pretty wiped out yesterday. I went junk hunting and found an art deco lamp for $18 and some great wood frames for $2 each at a thrift shop. One of the frames actually has a badly damaged painting in it which I'll have to discard -- but hey, 2 bucks! Then I put together a care package for DD... pasta pot (she asked for this even tho she keeps saying she can't cook!) and cheese grater, spices, and her sister wrote out her recipe for Fettucine Alfredo which she used to make for her...and I wrote out the recipe for red sauce...coffee beans from her favorite local roaster, a framed photo of her family with the lighthouse in the background, ... and now I'm on my way to the bakery where she used to work to pick up some biscotti.
DH has a round of interviews this afternoon. So excited! He really likes this company as they make medical supplies and devices. Also there is some travel involved which he loves... and I love being alone once in awhile...
Putting together a small dinner party tomorrow night... not sure what I'll make but dessert is definately apple pie cuz my kitchen is full of apples. I haven't had solid food, coffee or wine since Monday
tummy still say no, no, no. And my hand is bruised and swollen where i took the IV jabs. Why do they have to put the IV in my fragile, boney hands?Sending hugs to all...
