There are things that can help. Weekend before my DMx, DH went shopping and bought me a new high end vibrator, sounds weird, but DH knew how big a deal the girls I was losing meant to me in every way.

The research says 14 - 16% of us BMx women refind some sort of feeling, real or imagined as it relates to the foobs. Point is, find a way to find intimacy that works for both of you, I plan to use this to be creative, even if I need a visit to the lounge first for a bit of liquid courage. We are still the same awesome women we always were, just minus a piece or two. Maybe I am new to this but I need to believe that, I will find a new normal, even if that isn't the old normal. I want to live whatever the new life i have is, no matter what it looks like!

    Hugs to all!

    Hi LadieZ....

First of all, I want my affair catered too.  Eggs benedict and champagne will do just fine after a hot night.  Why should I be cooking??  Fresh croissants and strawberries too, please.

Free range eggs are eggs from chickens that get to roam around, preferably outside.  I drove out of my way today to go to the farm where you leave money and take eggs from fridge.  They only had one dozen left, wanted two.  Anyway, they have orange yolks, taste fab, and make all the difference in something like clafoutis.  If you can't get those, use the best eggs you can find.

Scuba.....I bet you will find a spot or 2 that gets you more than excited. So the challenge will be do find out which ones.

Karen....jeans have been a much better experiece since second generation lycra was added.  Just the right amount of give, so you can look sleek w/o feeling like you are in a sausage casing.

Tomato tart tonight.  Need to get one in this season.  Did not make pesto this year, as not enough cheap basil.  Had to drive someplace else to get decent pesto.  Know where now.  The odd thing was that part of an olive bar, so much cheaper than generic Safeway.

DorK.....speaking of Dr Seuss, some of the eggs have green shells.

Off to have a drink now as late to the party. - Claire

OMG... gotta share... at the dinner party last night, my neighbor said that a new family moved into the neighborhood, so I baked them a pie today. I had to rush out earlier wearing a t-shirt (a little low cut) and jeans (a little too tight) to be on time for book club. After book club I was working in my office and it started to get dark outside when I remembered the pie. So... I peeked down the street to make sure there was a car in the driveway and ran over with the pie. A man came to the door, but I could see that the interior of the house was being painted so I asked if he was moving in... nope, he is just the painter and they won't move in until next week. But the whole time he is saying this his eyes are focussed on my cleavage! I no longer take this personally as they are totally fake. Then... oh why or why do I not think first?...I opened my mounth and said, "I hope you are staring at the pie!" ... then I backed away quickly and sprinted back to my house.

OK Gail.  You need a wardrobe a wee bit tighter and revealing.  That should do wonders to get your DH in gear too.

And yes, you can take this personally.  What's wrong with you woman???? - Claire

LOL Gail....GREAT comeback to his staring!!! You rock, girl. How funny! But so sweet of you to bake a pie for new neighbors....but now you get to eat it right, since they won't be moving in yet? You mentioned making a rice salad earlier....can I ask how you make that? It sounds like its probably really good.

Oh Karen, so sorry you are still not feeling so great, and just "going thru the motions". But I applaud you for doing as much as you do, and just getting up and getting things done. Really sucks that you are going through this, and darn it I wish you could feel happy again, sooner rather than later. Hugs (((hugs))) for you, dear.

And more hugs (((hugs))) for our Kymn. I know your heart is still breaking, and really appreciate it when you pop in and post every so often. Take care, and reach around and give yourself a big hug, cause girlfriend you have been through a lot. We're all here, holding you up!

Real busy today....well yesterday too. Got the condo rented last night, but still have to check all the references, etc. We had a mad dash when we got there as we had just 40 min to clean up the tile since it was just installed, and madly clean all the floors, bathroom and kitchen cause the workers really got everything dirty! Got done just before the prospective tenant showed up! Then today the workers showed up real early, and since they are outside working on our house all day, I decided to scrape, bondo, sand, prime and paint a couple of windows. Getting them to do all the work up high on sides and front of house, and I can do the lower areas. Then will estimate the back side next. But dang we have gone to Lowes/Home Depot every night for whatever materials they decide they need, so am VERY tired now. They're from Mexico, and the main guy has not seen his wife for 6 yrs!!! His card said licensed, and bonded, so I didn't even think to ask if they are here legally!!! Sure hope so! ANyway, right now my hands/nails are a mess...still have paint on me too.

Love your post with the cartoons, Gail! And Scuba, very creative using a bucket! Gonna share a pic with us? Claire, still don't know what the fancy word means! Beans, Lori, NM, Heather, Kristy, hope you are all okay. Hoping Lori and NM are having great trips! Love catching up with you Chrissy with your "journal" thread...so interesting and special. DorK, glad you will not have to go to work tomorrow....hope your appts are good! Had a late happy hr, then DH grllled our fillets, so didn't eat till 9 or so.......if it doesn't rain tomorrow the workers will be here at SEVEN AM....isn't that still considered night time??? LOL, we stay up late and get up late; benefit of being retired. However, rain is in the forecast....

Love you Ladies, Have a good night, girlzzzzzz!

    morning girls,

time to stop stressing again over the darn work thing. I have to be at the hand doc at 9am, then the dentist at 10:30. Between I have to figure out what to do about work, call HR first or call my doctor and have them fax the return to work slip yet again. I feel like telling them if they can not have our Indian friends who receive the doc image it correctly, then they can find it then i will return. But no, I have to bug my doctors office again and figure out if they will change the return date or I just use personal time off which I will need for next rounds of surgery. that is my vent of the day, that wicked day after sunday.

Kymn, hope you are feeling a little better as the days roll by.

Love you girls, thanks for hearing my vent. Drink up, I'm having vodka straight to deal with the nonsense here. Gotta fly, need to roll the trash to the curb then be outta here.

To all my bwest fwends, have a skippity doo-da day!! CheerZ!

Claire - He didn't notice... football.

Lori - The wild rice salad recipe is from foodnetwork.com but I can't seem to find it now... I make it often so I can recall the recipe but measurements are approximate as I have a rule about preparing only recipes I can make with my eyes closed when I am entertaining...

I cooked the wild rice for 50 minutes, then added 2 oranges (segments cut away from skins), cranberries (1/4 c), green grapes (1 cup halved), 3 green onions chopped, toasted pecans (1/4 cup), chopped parsley (1/4 cup), and a vinaigrette made with 2T OJ + 2TB red wine vinegar + ½ cup olive oil. Make the dressing while the rice is cooking so that you can add as soon as you drain the rice; then add the goodies and season to taste with kosher salt and fresh ground pepper.

There are lots of wild rice recipes I'd like to try on foodnetwork - especially Paula Deen's.

California has a web site where you can confirm contractors' license numbers. I checked my granite guy out after I had already paid for the granite which he was working on. I was a little concerned about how he was going to install it since his license expired as well as his workers' comp as it is illegal here to have employees with no workers' comp insurance. I did make sure he signed lien releases when we gave him the final payment. Then we went away to Europe and when we came back he was long gone!

DorK - sounds like you are having a Monday... thinking about work and all... just quit that!

I just had a crazy dream that involved having lunch with my ex-boyfriend (whom I haven't seen in 22 years) after running into him at a deli and ending up in my car with him careening down a mountain (the whole time thinking we were going to die and I wouldn't be able to explain this to DH, especially when we were heading for a busy freeway) and ending when I got shot by a stranger in a parking garage who wanted my Louis Vuitton. Analyze that please! Really curious to see what this day holds for me.

    • The other man altered his mind so I had to run into him.

LOL at the JOTD Gail....love em Weird about your dream though. Funny how it usually means something totally unrelated, but maybe you feel your life is out-of-control or something. We went to a seminar by a lady that wrote a book on dreams, and I have the book, but haven't read it.  Thanks for your wild rice recipe, it was me, not Lori as she hasn't posted since she left on her trip. It really does sound yummy, and I like easy recipes for entertaining too! Mahalo!!!

DorK, Sure hope your appts go well today! WTF with the faxing? You poor dear, I know some drs offices charge for each fax now, so hope your bill isn't running up! Anyway can you get a copy and just drop it off at the receptionist or have your DD do that for you? To make sure they get it? Hoping your day will go REALLY WELL today, and not be so stressful for ya. (((Hugs)))

Well, rain is still forecast, so painter called b4 7 am to say he wouldn't be coming. That was good as I kept waking up all night worrying about oversleeping anyway....had the best deep sleep after we got his call.Tons of stuff to do here, and parents will be here next week....yay! But we have stuff to do at their house too, plus get the cable,tv,phone setup again.

NM, You know we have reserved PAGES for you when you return, as you have a lot to catch up on, and I don't want to miss a single one of your posts! Looking forward to a long post from you, and also to Pants returning to the HTL...you sure have kept him VERY happy in Vegas!!!

Lori, Hope you are having a great time, and can't wait to hear from you when you return, too!!!

Beanius, Beanius, Beanius, Green Bean, Jeannie Bean, Beans, Beans, Beans, where are ya? Miss your posts a lot, and hope things are A-OK....come on back!

Kymn, and Karen, many many hugs, and prayers, and special healing thoughts being sent to you both. We all hurt when one "of us" is hurting, and wish we could help. Just one day at a time, one step at a time....right foot, left foot, right foot, left foot, left foot...oops, you know me, always running into something or tripping! Don't take my lead, but just take things as you can handle them. Hoping for better days ahead.....

OK, now to deal wid da "dey b4 Toos-dey"....hope it is a good one, and all our loungettes will feel better....

     happy dey-b4-twosdey,

Stanzie, thanks for the update on our lovely Kymn. I played lots of hyms last night on both flute and piano and thought much about her. I was playing the most beautiful piano and flute which neither belong to me. I have a nice piano but this one I got my hands on was more than beautiful, the tone was outstanding. Isn't making music a beautiful thing? I could not have coped with my crud if not to music and JD therapy.  How are your elderly musical friends doing?

Kathy, your post is on the next page but I wanted to say that the cloititus (Claire's recipe) sounds like a dirty word hehe. I see you on your bar stool next to Kymn's pink leopard stool. Was glad to hear she updated us, aye? (aye=my canadian accent).  I gotcha a seagrams and diet, I am having rum n coke in honor of return to work tomorreee, Twos-dey. Cheers, my lady.

Scuba dutchess with the muchest,  praying for the crud to stop, will miss seeing you this week. Hope you enjoy the Phillies game, go Phils. I hope Junie is routing for my team and not St. Louis. (Lisa, me tinks you know that Junie is our dearly missed breast fwend in heaven). I feel her presence wow. I am having a calm moment, one of the first today, did typing the name send her? Sweetly odd

Gail, you had me lmao on your pie story. Geez, I wish I had ordered bigger foods, I haven't much cleavage. Way to rock them though. I am sure  you were embarrased but should be totally flattered. And funny comeback to the contracters comment.  Loving your jokes and stories. You tell a great story, you should try writing for fun.

I am feeling pretty good considering the stress I have been dealing with and the negative news I got at the hand doctor. The surgery I need has a recovery time of 4-6 weeks, who'd have fn thought? I can forget about making any decent money this year as I will prolly end up working only 60 more days this year since I need to go out again for exchange. Doesn't anyone know where to purchase oodles of noodles at 10 for $10? Seems my budget will again be tight. I also got a notice of an escrow shortgage with my mortgage so that is going up another 80.00 a month, crap. But thinking a lot about the importance of health and that I have. My mental health still needs help but my overall life prognosis is great and there are times I forget that. I've been having a lot of aches and pains in my legs and knees and had the thought for the first time yesterday of bone mets, but quickly dismissed that thougtt as I flew through my onc visit wif flying colors. Do you gals think I should get bone scan anyway? hmmm, damn, thinkgin about it again. Sorry I just type what comes through my ADD brain but appreciate anyone who gives me love and likewise invite you all to cut to the chase and read only about YOU hehehehe. I do that sometimes when I am very busy with life but no, not lately, read every word.

Kathy, it will be odd visitng you gals from work. I have to make sure I am entited to a break since I am part time for two weeks. I want to watch my ass as I sometimes have a feeling that the company is not having with me - can't blame them since I have been out more than in lately. I hope theyrecall my nearly perfect attendence until the beast got me. Thanks for hearing the DorK rant. Missing my Chrissy, missing Lori, NM, Kitty, Kristy, HD and Beanie. Ok, I wrote a song and here it go "oh wear of wear is my little friend bean, oh where oh where has she gone".....Cheerz!

BUT if you need to have it done, then that is the most important thing. Are you on the ittybittytitty computer? You are entertaining me tonight, as I caught this also..."Geez, I wish I had ordered bigger foods,"  I must always order bigger foods, as I am gaining weight....lol. You are such a sweetie, and so much fun. I love dwinking wid ya! Mahalo Nui Loa for my Seagrams/Diet....see I said you were a sweetie, and I was right! YOU always think of everyone else.  OK< lets see who we can gossip about, cuz looks like we are da only onez hear (did dat on poipoise)....Dwink Up DorK....it will blur our problems...... Funny I did not mean to write "oh wear oh wear" and I met to say foobs. tanks for pointing that out, I may just need to pwoof weed. Those typo errors and misuse of work were simply silly dorK-adents (a dork accident). cracking my dernself up again. rum makes me giddy. drink up, bet i bumped ya, will see.

oh bumped ya yet again! I get my hair coloared and cut about every two months but the old lady hair takes over fast. i used to mess up when I did it myself but that is because I did not know what I was doing with getting the right color, ended up using diff brands and having multi color hair. me is doing my own mani/pedi too, hope the gals do not mind me feet on the barstool (I put them on Chrissy's since she I knew she will not see me hehe, don't tell).  No lime for me. I always take it out when I order drinks out. Chrissy can attest to that as the twoof and nudding butt.

come to the salon de dorK, removing the old polish now. can hunk help me? and oops, just had a thought, better edit me last post...brb.

Kathy - that wild rice recipe was for you....  I started to ask where the heck is Lori and lost my direction.

DorK - I didn't know about the HTL Salon - great idea! I was paying a hairdresser $200 to do my hair and it is nothing special. So I tried to do my roots myself but they were too dark, so I tried to remove the color... the roots turned red!  (FYI that's not me, nor is it my mother, just an example of bad hair color)...

So then it cost me $250 to get the hairdresser to fix my mess. Now I go to the beauty college for root touch up ($28 plus tip and I don't ruin my towels or my hair) and a real hairdresser for haircut but I haven't done that in a long time... my bob is almost touching my shoulders. DD1 gave me a certificate for a mani/pedi at a local salon for my birthday but I haven't gone yet. Pants is bringing you a dwinky poo cuz you needs one toot sweet.

Here's a Manhattan while you wait...

    Ok, back to work...

Funny pic Gail! Think I'll join you two in a Manhattan; never had one. *ka-chink* Cheers!

I have a black towel I use when coloring my hair.  Plus an old pair of black Versace sweats.  I use the occasion to give the tub a good cleaning.

Feria and I have been tight ever since it was introduced about ten years ago.

DorK.....without your health the other wouldn't matter.  When the going gets tough, I remind myself of that.

Gail.....so glad that my roots color matches.  Now that sounds like a major fiasco.  Expensive one too.

Just did a Skype call with my former business partner.  She couldn't believe how great I look.  What a great invention.  So great for sharing and keeping up.  I am praying she gets both jobs where she is a finalist.  She should know more tomorrow.  (I have used Skype on and off for about 5 years, but you need someone to Skype with.)  Logistics are a bit different than with regular landline/cell though.  For one thing, I wouldn't want to be doing early AM/bedhead.

Progress today on the networking front, so feel I am moving forward.  The gentle art of staying on people's radar without going too far.

Anyone for bacon blue cheeseburgers????  2 for 1 sale on at Met Market.  Best Painted Hills beef plus wonderful bacon and cheese.  Oh, veggies and good cab to have with.

Forgot to mention, I may have a bit of consulting work.  Life is good. - Claire

I recall when Bob Hope was very gravely ill ... his wife and family were in the room discussing where theymight purchase cemetery property...after naming a cemetery or two, Delores asked, "where would you like to be buried, Bob"...his reply, "Surprise Me"...

Gail, lmao at the photo, that poor girl. Did she try to color her eyebrows and mess up? I have learned over the years to stay away from the likker while playing hair dresser/beautician/mani/pedicurist.

Claire -funny! Bob Hope used to scare me, as a child, I saw his roasts and perceived him as angry.

Kathy, great tip for the salon. The htl salon needs more liiker, still working on first coats of nail polish, one to go plus top coat then bed :(

Morning ladies, sorry I missed the action in the salon/lounge, maybe I should give myself a pedi instead of doing my PT this morning before work? No, the PT/psycho wanna be will kick my butt. I already lost 2 days to the stupid kidney stones. Back to work and need to be sharp this am, so will stick with my friend cranberry juice and club soda (maybe some vodka later, if iI can get thru the day)!

Was actually out at the baseball game last night, Phillies lost but we had fun and that counts for something. Be well to all, those posting Amd those sort of MIA.
