Onward....IMHO you have a perfectly understandable right to be all the negative things you can think of for a while.  Sometimes, things can work better if we go into really accepting some of the limitations and problems and negative parts -- it is hard to change things you don't accept. And, once you are there -- the only way is up.  I'm hoping things will come round for you soon.

Laura....what infusion????  You have my total undivided attention.

Wendy --- 22 and that says it all !!!!!!  Healing energy and prayers for your hubby's niece.  We are all saying in unison -- enough of this rotten darn disease.

    General Bj, Rest, Get Well.

    Hugs, Jackie

    big HI to everyone

Wendy - Prayers have been said for dh's niece...

Wow!  DH had legal business in Kankakee and so I went with him to keep him company and I missed one day of news!

I was suppose to help BJ at Maggianos and I do not want to bother her to see what she would like for me to do. I am sending  Laura and Wendy  an email.  Let me know how things are going.

We love you BJ!  Just get better!

On a final note (I hate mixing messages within a post, so forgive me for taking this space for the third time).  I was down yesterday myself....just the passage of time and feeling badly for those suffering in this economy. I was reading the words said about Mrs. Daley and what her son said,  pulled me up.  He said she had an uncanny way of enjoying  simple existence while on earth.  That simple idea helped me.

Thanks for the info Laura.  The way the evite note read....it sounded like you were having an infusion for something.  Scared you had gotten ill too.  Thanks for clearing that up.

    Addy yes it's $16 I believe.

Onward I have a great LE MD ( others here also use him) but he is in Evanston. My LE PT is in Chicago. She's LANA certified & very good but I don't know how practical that would be for you. Let me know if you want info.

Onward:  So sorry that you are having a bad time right now.  I will miss you at the party....do try to stop in if you can.  I always smile when I think about the time you got tired of wearing your wig and took it off and tried to stuff it in your small purse and the hair was sticking out!  To this day, I laugh about that.  Damn, girl....can't you suddening feel a "bug" coming on and get outta that class early on Saturday?

Hi, ladies, I'm feeling good! Long time without checking in.... 4 more treatments of Navelbine every other week, because blood counts went too low on weekly treatments, but I'm feeling great. Herceptin weekly until that's over, then every 3 weeks. Rads now put off until end of winter. I was disappointed about stretching this out, but if it is easy to tolerate, I have nothing to complain about, do I? Had family come in from New York State, which was so great!! Have fun.

    Happy Thursday Everyone-

The crazy wind earlier this week did a number on my outside holiday decor.  Retrieved baubles and branches from the neighbor's yard and tried to reassemble everything, but not quite the same. Now the dog's waiting to go for a walk, but I have to warm up a bit first...

My bmx is tentatively scheduled for 12/13.  Waiting (a tad impatiently) for final word.

BJ-knock that pneumonia on its behind. Onward-hoping you get some relief.

Good thoughts and prayers for all. Looking forward to meeting many of you Saturday! Stay warm~

It's getting closer to Saturday!  I can hardly wait and the extended weather forecast looks pretty good for this time of year.

BJ...WOW!  I'm so sorry to hear that you are sick.  Take good care of yourself and knock that pneumonia right out of your system.  I hope you are able to come on Saturday but if you are feeling "icky" still, put yourself first instead.  Healing hugs to you!

Lago...so coincidental that you mention the Bosom Buddies.  That is the name of our local support group that we started in the Bloomington/Normal area.  In fact, we are getting together this evening.

I have been so busy shopping, wrapping, and attending seasonal events around here that I haven't been on much this week.  I need to go back and get caught up.

Looking forward to seeing many of you on Saturday.  More later..........

Well, yesterday was the worst. I was in tears with thumb, wrist and arm pain. Called the new Onc who I was told had 60 messages already (she is moving her digs tomorrow), called the old Onc (who doesnt know he's been fired) he's on vacation, so I texted my favorite guy who moved to Wisconsin who called me right back. (I love you Ryan!) I am officially off Femera. I will take 2 weeks off and start on Aromiasin? Talked to Joan today who is now on the same thing and she is feeling much better. So until things get sorted out, my wisconsin onc will deal with me.

As far as le goes, I am going to Palos Hts on the 9th to see a Dr. Yasemin Ozcan. Anyone heard of her? My friend works for her and it's the first dr I have heard of that deals with this stuff. I will let you know.

The class I am taking is state regulated. I will try to cry sick but only if he will put me down as having all the hours completed. Class starts at 9am so about lunch time, I could start moaning..lol. I really need to see you guys...Onward

Oh, Onward, I am so sorry!  You must be so frustrated and desperate for relief.

Do not worry about getting to the party. Of course we want to see you, but frankly, you need to do what you need to do.  With everything that is happening it is best to stick to the plan. e'll plan a special lunch around your schedule.

I hope you find relief very soon.

Hi gals.  I'm running late.  It's almost 9 p.m.  Started the morning with bad Internet wires that had been munched on by dogs.....a little while back, but think all the damp wet weather finally got to them.....so had the guy here  to the point I was a wee bit late for work.

Hope you all had a wonderful day....glad you are working on a good solution for the Femara pain.  Hopefully, you will start to get some good relief as your system clears of the drug.  Eyes and fingers crossed for ya.

    Bj.....hope you are feeling better.

Have to be up by 5 a.m tomorrow to make it to work.  Oh my.....well, I can sleep in on Sunday morning....but not till then.  I'm so looking forward to getting to the party and meeting all of you.  I've planned so often to get there, but this time it is going to happen.

Hope you all had a good day -- healing hugs to Onward and Bj.....and anyone who is struggling with anything right now.

    Jackie

Hi everyone, I wanted to say thank you so much for the welcoming messages and support. It is very comforting to me to know that this group and forum is here! I have been doing a little better this week, as I realized that I can't really do much more until I have my appt. on Tuesday, so am just trying to keep moving and busy til then (which is actually not that difficult with 3 small children!). Hope you all have a good Friday.

So, this morning, I got a call from my new BS' nurse.  Am scheduled to see BS at Northwestern on Tuesday for 2nd opinion (and because I really didn't get a good feeling about the team I initially worked with at my local hospital).  The nurse said that a radiologist had looked over my films/reports and had a recommendation for Dr. Hansen, which she will go over with me on Tuesday.  But, part of the recommendation is that I have more imaging on my RIGHT breast (which initial radiologist called as clear), so I am going to have an MRI after my appt. with Dr. Hansen.  The nurse also asked if I wanted to meet with a plastic surgeon and then said she'd have them call me.  The PS' office called me 10 minutes later to say I could meet with him after my MRI.  So, Tuesday is going to be a very full day.  I am glad to be able to get a lot done in one day, but am freaking out all over again at the thought that there may be even more cancer in the right breast now! That said, the communication and efficiency of action at Northwestern has been so far about 10 times better than what I had at my local hospital, so I am very grateful for that. Hope everyone is doing well today.  :)
