Believe it or not we have the opposite problem from high winds here in the Seattle area - AIR STAGNATION. So was out riding. Chilly though, especailly since the sun was a few miles east of where I was riding.
Glorious, if chilly. Saw the Santa Train and visitied a holly farm. Just moseyed around, and did about 20 miles.
Home to soup, tea, and shortbread biscuits.
Will finish the bottle of champagne tonight celebrating my former business partner's new gig. She signed everything yesterday and starts Monday. I am so thrilled for her.
I have the Wine Bar party tomorrow evening. Fortunately, I can walk there and back. I will do a ride well in advance. Hoping for sun, but will take not icy/no rain or snow.
Think another cup of tea, and then a hot bath. See you ladies later.

More snow today in Denver....and cold...probably got 6 more inches.....Monday is going to be whopping 11 degress for the high...
Had hoped for date night with DH...something for a change of pace to get out of the house and off teh compuer, but he feels pretty crappy....head hurts...he came home from synagogue as soon as services were office....heated up some soop and then slept all afternoon....DD and I went to lunch....was going to go to the women's learning when we were done lunch, but wanted to check on DH....I had given DH my house key.....and the front door was locked!!!! Good thing DS was still home...with several minutes of knocking on the door and dog whining, DS finally heard us.....DH slept thru this.....Good thing I didn't go to the womens learning as DS went to work..would have been locked out for a while till DH woke up.....Told DH he needs to start taking a house key with him....

GOLDIE-love the old town,where is that? As for my phone i'm afraid i'd blush at having to post it's filthy writings. But i'll do it for you,just remember I warned you. And for such a young,cool chick I cannot believe you don't like Vegas. It's got everything the HTL has--scantily clad men(Thunder),enough liquor that could fill the Hoover dam a million times over,among other things. I'll turn you into a believer yet. Mrs. Vino...thanks for your kind thoughts.....I am feeling better today....I think part of it has to do with getting so angry after appt with therapist, then deciding that I'm not going to go back....Yesterday I was telling DH about it.....he couldn't believe some of the things I was telling him....he goes maybe the problem is that its not a good match......So don't know how long the feeling will last, but I;m glad I made the decision....now I just need to call and tell her....may call tomorrow and just leave a message and tell her to take me off the calendar......Not sure if I want to get in a discussion with her...part of me does and part doesn't.....Part of me also wants to write a letter and tell her what I'm thinking...but I know I won't do it....when I quite my last psychiatrist because I was so frustrated, I was going to write her and never did.....and I never heard from her again....I have a new psychiatrist, but since I'm not currently taking any meds, not seeing her. Was reading the latest issue of Prevention magazine...and there is an article about thyroid disease....and I should it to DH....we both thought the same thing that I should have my thyroid levels checked...don't remember the last time I did....a year or more ago...I remember onc checked it....but I'm sure now he would tell me to have my pcp do it....I told DH that I would have onc check it at next visit and DH said you know pcp can check it easily....I look at all the side effects of hypothyroid and say yes, it could be applicable to me......weight gain, sluggish, bloated, constipation, depressed and forgetful.....pretty much me to a "T".....Don't really feel like going to the doctor, so do I wait till I see my onc in Feb, do I call pcp or do I do nothing (most likely choice!!!!)....still haven't gotten my flu shot....DH is annoyed with me for not getting it.....
DH just asked me if I wanted to watch Sir Paul show that he tivoed the other day.....of course I do...so thats all for now....Have a great rest of the Saturday night....sweet dreams....and time to pour another glass of red wine!!!

Karen, No they are still traveling...supposed to land in HI around 4 am here, so with the long drive home, and getting luggage, etc., provided they arrive on time, it will end up being about 24 hrs from when they left their home here. Totally ridiculous, and I hate that they had to go through that. I know DL will not refund, but maybe give them SOMETHING. I read Prevention too....love it!
Yes, Kristy, your furbaby is toooo cute! I think its so cute then the snowballs stick to their fur,but OMG that is hard to get off of them!

Hi girls! I'm here! Just got back from a special lunch with my DDs and partner to celebrate my birthday. Right now I'm feeling so stuffed I'm borfering on the uncomfortable...........but the food was so yummy! We had antipasto, pasta with red sauce and spicy pork sausage, two tyes of pizza and chilled atlantic salmon and greens. Then after all that we topped of with the most delicous mango gelati and coffee................. Now you know why I'm ready for a siesta!
Dotty, good luck with your surgery! Sure hope it all goes well for you and you are a good girl after and take it easy!
Kathy, that sure is a long travel time for your parents hope they are nottoo exhausted when they arrive home.
Karen, if you feel you need to get something checked out, you need to be proactive about it..............you can't just let it ride and hope that it will take care of itself particularly when it comes to medical things. You may find, even tough we all get sick of seeing docs, that to get your thyroid checked may well be a good thing. That new puppy sounds delightful and I sure hope that you ge the one you want. Say hi to your family for me and tell your DH I hope he is feeling better soon.

Karen it's really so simple, you just click on the microphone icon and it starts recording you. you have to speak slowly and clearly. I'm using it right now and we've managed to keep it pretty clean tonight. much to goldies chagrin.sorry goldie,I'm trying to make it say something dirty but it must be shy. ****Wahine- I'm still waiting for goldie to tell me about her town. but she must be sleeping.****Juliet - What's new? Had my pre op with the ooperectomy surgeon on Frieday. They are doing this high tech DaVinci Robotic laprascopic procedure. He had pics of the equipment, too bad I will be sleeping cause it looks cool. Saline fills for exchange start Tuesday...
Yo Vino, do you have surgery this week or am I losing it? Looking for the tree pics. Not decorating here since we won't even be here...

Kathy, I hate that about your parents flight! Hope they get home safe and sound, they are so lucky to have such a wonderful daughter! It amazes me they are in their 90's and do all that they do! Karen, I'd just leave your therapist a message to take you off of her book. She doesn't need to know why. Move on. As for thyroid, I was diagnosed hypothyroid 7 years ago. Haven't had my levels checked for over a year, going to do that in February. However, I called my Dr., who is also a dear friend, a few months ago and told her I was feeling like I needed to up my med dosage. She agreed, and said that all the chemo, surgery, etc. can cause thyroid problems. Have felt so much better since my dosage increased. You should definitely get it checked out.

Two women friends had gone for a girl's night out.
Both were very faithful and loving wives, however they had gotten over-enthusiastic on the Bacardi Breezers.Incredibly drunk and walking home they needed to tinkle, so they stopped in the cemetery.
One of them had nothing to wipe with so she thought she would take off her panties and use them.
Her friend however was wearing a rather expensive pair of panties and did not want to ruin them.
She was lucky enough to squat down next to a grave that had a wreath with a ribbon on it, so she proceeded to wipe with that.
After the girls did their business they proceeded to go home.
The next day one of the woman's husband was concerned that his normally sweet and innocent wife was still in
bed hung over, so he phoned the other husband and said: 'These girl nights out have got to stop! I'm starting to suspect the worst. .. my wife came home with no panties!!''That's nothing' said the other husband, 'Mine came back with a card stuck to her butt that said.....

Karen, your Monday temps are warmer than what we are suppose to get, lows to be around 3 here. Speaking of being tech savvy, or not so much..........where is your avatar picture? I see my onc next week for results. Heading down to Phx on Thursday, I think. Staying thru the weekend to do inventory at the warehouse and also our gal from Taiwan is in town. I have thyroid issues as well, any doc that orders your blood work can include it. I was very fatigued, but that was about all.....oh and your hair falls out, lovely eh?
Awwww Shannon, I guess it's cuz we are there so much on business, doing trade shows. We also are not big gamblers, but have been to a few shows, my favorite being Zumanity. Plus this young grammy goes to bed early, sometimes 8 o'clock! As for the town, it is the fence on the back side of our little yard. Need to have a fence, as the critters out here eat everything. Morning Mrs V..............morning here too, he he! I think my thyroid issues are from chemo/rads. I take Levothyroxin for it, also have high cholesterol from the Arimidex. Dec. 12th for you.....ok. Remind us again when the time gets nearer.

Hi ladies, for once on a more serious note. Did anyone have pains after chemo and rads?
I have an ache/pain in the back of my thigh - been there about three weeks, gets worse as the day goes on. Feels like a strain but i haven't done anything to get that.

Lisa, When is your surgery? Glad the preop went well. I sure can't keep up with everyone's surgery dates...I must be losing it. Too many girlz to keep up with, but Lori has not been to Tunica....I go there a lot, and Junie did too. But Lori goes to Laughlin and Vegas. In fact I will be back in Tunica on Thurs, we have 2 big gourmet dinners to go to, and will celebrate DH's bday in style!
Chrissy, Did we miss your bday??? I really need a book with everyone's bday in it. I just had to Oct and Nov bdays.
Allison, Will try to remember your surgery date. That is my dad's 95th bday. My DH's is the 11th. So sorry to hear about your FIL.
Will try to call NM this afternoon, and hope she will be able to talk, and I won't be disturbing her. But we all want to know how she is doing!
Gonna hang out at the mimosa fountain this morning....already had an Irish Coffee....and then will partake in the wunnerful buffet the Wenches made for us....yummmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Will go upstairs to the Big Girl Panties computer...lol. Lots to do today....gotta finish touch up painting on my huge snowmen so can put them outside.

Bernie, I get pains in my legs, basically like a charllie horse. I think it is a SE from one of the drugs I take. Don't remember having them right after chemo and rads. The Neulasta shot used to make my legs hurt like hell.
Kathy, when I log in to BCO, I immediately click on "My Home" tab. In there it also has "my favorite" threads and shows when there is a new post. When I click on, it takes me to where I left off and not the most current page. So I know I never miss a page.

Its snowing again here in Denver....and cold....haven't aken a walk today....but thinking I should go tonight...DH (and tonight its not darling) just came back from a walk....he's ticked off at me so didn't tell me he was going (never mind ask if I want to go).......but if I go, it will upset DD.....trying so hard to walk every day....got to take of this added weight.....
Had the home visit from BDHP....of course we passed with flying colors...now just need to wait to find the right dog....DH wants a mastif of some type...I love the face, but not the body....DD is in love with a St. Bernard......I find a couple of the dogs cute, but none wow me....as does none wow DS.....I like the Berner/Rottie but he doesn't wow DH, so thats going to be a no, especially since the dog is in AZ...not like its close by to see and meet......will keep checking the site daily for the right dog...and not going to be in a rush.....
