Good morning, Loungettes! It was a long weekend, but I got lots and lots of hours in yesterday at triple pay so the next pay check will be soooo worth it! Gonna have enough to get the stuff to make shelves in the sewing room closet and get containers to store and organize material and supplies. And maybe even get a new, WORKING sewing machine! I see a big project In my future.
Christmas day was an odd on for me. Started out seeing patients, met one who lives in a boarding home with a bunch of other men. No Christmas decorations anywhere. No sign of gifts anywhere. I was the only visitor in the place at 10 am. Reminded me how blessed I am with friends and family. Ended the day seeing a patient who just found out he has metastatic esophageal cancer. Made me want to cry and helped me see how well I am doing. I don't have a death sentence hanging over my head the way he does. Yes, there's a possibility the rat ba$tard will come back and bite me again, but it's not a certainty. Perspective is a funny thing.

Chrissy-I wish I was sleeping it off yesterday, but it was another full day of work for me!
Karen-sounds like Mischa adopted you r DH! She'll get used to and start to love you, too, quickly enough. Dogs are like that-no end to the love they can give! Glad the 2 dogs get along, that could have been a problem.

Husker-Enjoy Florida, and the pic of the pooches is great! How'd you get them to all look the same way??? Nellie looks a lot like my Sadie, too!

My mom's dog wanted to rip my face off for awhile but he finally came around. Now he just tries to lick my face-at least I think that's what he's trying to do. *****GOLDIE-How's the weather today? What part of arizona are you in? Well yesterday my brother and I played Santa for my niece and nephew. They just got the Wii so games and accessories were all they wanted. Then we went bowling with my niece,her 5 yr old and her boyfriend. I only bowled once when I was a kid. So needless to say I was not doing well on the first couple of frames. Then my niece's boyfriend came over to my brother and me and said "You know,my shoes are a little too tight." I said "Really? Mine are a bit too big." Then we looked at the sizes-they gave him my shoes and me his shoes. I swear as soon as we switched he was throwing strikes and I was throwing a lot better. I guess the magic was in the shoes. My poor nephew wasn't so lucky. After throwing his ball into another persons lane then slipping and falling he then threw the ball backwards almost into the crowd. It was a lot of fun even if I didn't win. My goal was not to win anyway. It was to keep that 5 yr old from beating me! He was nipping at my heels the entire time-and that was with his bad bowling! I did manage to keep my dignity though by beating his score-by 6 points. A win is a win,but I will be practicing from here on out. And with that I have to finish my errands-after my drink. Today I think i'll have butterscotch schnapps:) CHEERS GIRLS!

Undercover....what drink was I enjoying? my red wine? Mischa is such a love....but she is glued to my DH at the hip.....just jealous!!!! I can't walk both dogs at the same time, so walked Mischa first this morning, then walked Bear....Tonight DH and I will walk both dogs together...I'm holding Mischa.
Puttered in the house today....worked in the crawlspace to tidy things up and throw some junk out....then was looking for the extended warranty for my computer but can't find it anywhere....so I guess there is more to do in the rest of the us...DH told me to just print off the receipt from the computer....I spend almost 2 hours on the phone with HP.....need to send my computer back to have the screen fixed....also check the hard drive as it is doing some weird things....Need to back up everything and then use the recovery disk. They said to keep the power cord and keep the battery when I send them the computer...Might be without it for 2+ weeks.
Going to pour a glass of wine and put up my pizza dough....we're not going to eat till after 7 when DS gets home from work...making WW crust...veggie pizza.....onions, mushrooms, spinach, peppers, mozz cheese and feta cheese.....DS doesn't like peppers or muchrooms so need to do it 1/2 and 1/2

Wine a little!!!! I love the Moscato. Does anyone else like this!! It is sooooooo good!! I have a tee shirt that shows a glittery wine glass that says "Grandma's Sippy Cup". Most folks think its so funny!!

Yummmmm Moscato is my favorite! First tried it in Australia, where we had a Moscato Asti from Italy. Here, we were able to buy some from Australia.....go figure....it cost less than the US brands. I also like to add a splash of Peach Schnapps to some Sparkling Asti or any sweet champagne....double yummmm!
Karen, the number "666" usually refers to "the beast", or "Satan", and I think is also used in witchcraft. I am not usually so aware of it, but when I saw we were on that page, I just felt like trying to get us past it! I love veggie pizzas....my favorite!

DH and I ran errands, and then to his fav Mexican restaurant (not my fav type of food), and had large mugs of Dos Equis on draft (that part was good!). Bought some more big 20 gal totes for the Christmas stuff....hoping to get it ALL in plastic totes. Hope I don't find annudder squirrel!! Missing you Lori...hope you're having fun! Me...I don't like moscato...way too sweet...I prefer the dry reds...cabernet, merlot, shiraz or a blend of them...right now drinking a glass of cabernet......We walked the dogs before dinner.....and Mischa saw another dog..,.its all I can do to not get draggged by her....its harder as the streets are still full of snow.....lost my scarf walking the dogs...bummed as it was a favorite...DH drove the route and didn't see it...maybe I'll find it in the morning...not up for another walk tonight....
We were invited to friend;s for a NYE party...but DD likes to have her friends over for NYE...she is having her own party....so depending on who DD is having over, whether or not we will stop by friends...that is okay with me....need to find a goo dmovie to watch....and make sure I have a nice bottle of wine....NY day, I usually make chicken wings and potato knishes...

I am enjoying a box of Hawaiian Host Macadamia Medley chocolates my sister sent from Maui! Yummers! She also sent me a cute Hawaiian shirt ornament, very cute.
I have to work tomorrow, but should be quiet.
We are having an NYE party at our house with 2 other couples and a single friend. Theme is "Favorites"....each person gets 30 minutes, and we all have to drink their favorite drink, listen to their fave music, they will make a fave appetizer, tell fave stories, play a fave game...you get the idea. Then we will top off with steak and lobster and Guitar Hero! We are all DINKS (Double Income No Kids) so lucky I have guest rooms as all will be staying over! Breakfast will be gourmet store-bought quiches, very easy.

Seems when at work, which is rare, me sees de clock ebery freaking day at 9:11 and de 11:11 and de 1:11, hates dem most. If I happen to glance at de clock and it is close to one of dese times, I will put a post it up to hide de bad numbers. Oh, superstitious me is. Me forgot to give parents de hug.
