I am back. Sorry I took so long, I had to sober up. Hate when that happens.

NM, yippee yoddelee-he-he-ha-ha, your post today was gweat. Me was sew happy that you made so much money working on de Christmas. we are not sad anymore about dis. You go goil, rake up that dough. Your Christmas story is so sad but even more, it is humbling. I will pray for the unnamed homeless man in the shelter. There are times when heart breaking experiences make our lives sound like magically beautiful even on de worst dey. Wow. Sad as it is, I am glad you got something back from this sad bunch of men with no toys, no tree and no decoration. That makes me sad too. I hope you are feeling well.

Spinner, WOW, just noticed your avatar, you are adorable! Your hair is very pretty and you have a beautiful smile. I hope you come back, if you don't Stella will cry. when she cries, I dwink too much.  I hope you had fun at de sock monKEYday partay.

Mrs_Vino, how was your doctor appointment? I sure hope that todey has been a better day for you. Would you like to join in for a massage? Seems you are always taking care of your family, me tinks it should be Allison time.   I hope you take these last few days off work and relax some. You are always on de go goil! me loves you, just sayin'. Do you have any homemade hootch left?

Beanie, I talked to you but forgot to tail you that I will twy to make it for de new years parTAY. Can we use the "favorite" theme? Seems someone gave me a gweat idea. I will bwing my hula hoop and my flute. And my Gentleman Jack. Anybuddy else be home for de new year?

Scuby luv ,tgrank you for buying de coffee, you sew nice. It was great to see you. You were just what de doctor ordered. He said to me "go and partay with Scuby". De rest is history. It was great seeing you. was a long time. I have to tail the goils how grate you are looking. Me heard some cats whistling at you butchu couldn't hear cuz de rain made noise. I hope to see you again soonly. Tanks for de Scuby luv, I have enuff to spread around at de lounge.  And tanks to you for reminder that de hawk is watching me.

Bernie and Juliet, I get a kick out of you gals in de middle of our night dwinking while de most of us sleep. glad you are dere to keep de tenders biddy. Bernie, especially loved the choo choo joke. Like Allison, I was cwacking de hail up. I snorted too. Ooops, dat is a new ting I do when I laugh hard.

So mese had my stitches out today.  And Scuby's doctor was nice enough to give de Dork a new script for poik-oh-set, yippee. Me just took anudder half one and starting to feel it.  I had my first shower in EIGHT days tonight. OMG, de poor Scuby had to hug de dirty dorK. I could not even take a hip dip in de tub because of de bandage from de lipo. Dat is feeling much bettah now but my left side, the revised side is hurting for the first time since soygery. It was numb until de stitches came out and it is now ouchy.  There is one small area on that side that I am ascared of. It is still oozing yukkie stuff. I have seen that yuk before. De nurse said it is normal but I have heard that before. Please all, pray that my incisions heal. Oh, de nurse almost left two stiches in my belly. I did not know I had stiches from the lipo suction. ick. They hurt coming out but otherwise, would not know they were there.

Well me tinks I am talking too much so I am gonna hit de submit button and see if anybody came into de lounge to partay with.  Stella is here with me and she wants to say something. I need to find her though. uhhhh .......

Morning girls! Gonna post quick, as I got up and took some pain pills for back and va jay jay, starting to kick in, so going back to bed, Dr appt went well, she said I was healing great, and said I can start walking again. She also said, "I'm not gonna lie, it ain't pretty down there, but hopefully the diflucan will take care of it!" will call back Friday for refill if not healed up.

Dork, so glad your appt went well and you got to shower!! Yeah!! And I am taking it easy today, nothing to do until psychiatry appt @4 , the. Taking DD to YMCA for a training class to teach her how to use the equipment. She is very excited! She's still sleeping too. We went to a friends house last night, all of my close girlfriends were there, and we watched The Help while kiddos played. I wore my Jammie's over, and my friend picked us up, so didn't even have to drive! Plus wore my new sexy Victoria secret bra and showed the girls. Was so excited to buy a bra there, all my bras before BC were very large support bras. Don't need that now!!

Kathy, thanks for getting us off dat bad page!! I saw that number too and was wishing there was a way to skip it!! Also, praying for you, Dorothy, and your families. Hate that you both have to see your mothers go through that. Sending (((hugs))) your way.

Also, LL, me likes Flash! Think having pics with him will be great, as he is some real eye candy!

Bernie, my husband is a hunter, he loved the deer joke. I posted it on FB, hope u don't mind.

NM, Scuby, Karen, Undy, Beans, who else? Me pain meds messing with me mind now. Going back to bed for a while. I miss you Lori! Come back!

Hope all is well with all of you, Bernie, know what you mean about the silence... DH and I generally get overloaded when around all de family, just not used to the noise! Oh well, it's only once in a while!

Hope all you nite owls got some rest! Cheers to almost New Years!

Good morning, Loungettes! Warm and rainy, almost all the snow is gone again. Oh well. Got an incredible backache, probably from lugging and tugging on a heavy patient over the weekend. Very annoying when I move just right and makes me look like an old lady when I first get moving after sitting for a while. Sigh. But if that's all I've got to complain about, I'm in a pretty good plance!

Scuba-I still smile when I think about our time at Rollie's! It was so nice to meet you in person, thanks for taking the time out from your family Christmas plans.

Wahine-since when do we need a reason to post? I didn't know that we needed a reason to post. Here all this time I thought the only requirement for posting was drinking! Hee Hee

Beanie-clink, clink, where's my next drink? Ah, Pants, thank you my dear man. Please be so kind as to make sure Beanie and Wahine are topped off, too, would you?

Undy-The bowling trip sounds like it was a lot of fun! I haven't been bowling in ages, and there's a lane only 10 miles from home. Gonna have to look into that. Good thing you stayed ahead of the 5 year old!

Karen-without computer for 2 weeks? I'm not sure I could do that. I'd have withdrawal symptoms for sure! I'm sure Mischa will come around to you once she sees that you are there all the time. I remember my mother making ½ and ½ pizzas when I was growing up, none of us kids every wanted the same thing. I love spinach on pizza, yum, yum!

SWEETY-Welcome to the Lounge! If I"ve already said welcome, chalk it up to anesthesia brain, and consider yourself doubly welcomed!

Lulu-Nice pick for an extra Tender. What shall we name him? HatMan? So good to see the percotini fountain has been upgraded to include other goodies. Such fun to get my champagne and Ativan at the same fountain! Your New Year's celebration sounds like a great time, enjoy! OK, sounds like the new guy is Flash, that's a good name for him!

DorK-the 11:11 thing is getting to be bigger all the time. I'm noticing the elevens more and more and have heard other people mention the same thing. Not sure if this means anything or not, but it does get a little freaky sometimes.

Bernie-apparently I am not Irish, I almost never get past Buzzed! But I do love hanging out with Irish friends like you!

DorK-I don't want anyone feeling s@@ry for me working Christmas anymore, that's why I shared the secret! My heart goes out to those men, wish I could do something more than pray for them. Perhaps something will come to mind. As challenging as some parts of my life are, my life is so blessed compared to those men. Humbling indeed. Scuby does look wonderful, doesn't she? I would never have thought she'd been through what she has from looking at her. She does so much, it amazes me. I still smile when I think about our lunch meeting! Keep an eye on that drainy spot, drink lots of fluids (in addition to the dwinkies here in the lounge) take a vitamin supplement if you aren't already, and keep the oozy spot covered and as dry as possible. Soap and water wash with a gentle pat dry least twice a day helps keep the nasty bacteria away, and I will be praying for you, too.

Wahine-I don't use a really fancy sewing machine, either. I do like the automatic button hole feature and will look for that, and I usually only use straight and zig-zag stitches. If I want embellishment I hand embroider them. I love to make clothes for myself since I can tailor them to fit me just as I like. I've been window shopping sewing machines and I will be able to get what I want for less than $100. It will pay for itself in no time once I get going again. But first gotta get the sewing room cleaned out and organized!!

Undy-I'm not crazy about early am appointments, either, since I usually have to drive at least 45 minutes to get to most of my docs. But, such is life, right? I make my own Kahlua to drink with milk, you are a woman after my own heart-kahlua and milk is my favorite mixed drnk!

Princes Glitter Sizzle says today's DOTD is the Sombrero:

    1 ounce Kahlua
    4 ounces Milk
Directions: shake 1 ounce Kahlua and 4 ounces milk with ice until cold, pour out over ice.

    Goood Morning Loungettes!

Allison, Glad you can start walking, and hope you get rid of the yuckies real soon! How nice your DD will get to use the equip at the "Y"! They built a new huge one by us, and my DH was so excited, but says it looks so cheap inside, even the racquetball courts are cheaply made. Did you see the bachelor when Stephanie was on? Even showed her little girl visiting, as she was one of the last ones. She was the one who always looked "over the top" with toooo much makeup, furs, etc. She is a beautiful girl, and was in ballet and Nutcracker with my DD (Stephanie was Sugar Plum Fairy her last yr in hs). ANYWAY, her DH and his brother died in a plane crash when her DD was an infant. Family had lots of money, but sooooo sad. The Y was funded largely by that family, so is named after them. I wish I could remember which bachelor's season, she was on. She always hosts the bachelor/bachelorette charity auctions, etc.

Bernie, Glad you will have some peace and quiet now, but so nice they all visited with you over Christmas. Is your DH still doing ok? I know you must miss him terribly!

DorK, Are you healing any better this morn? Hoping it all closes up quickly with no infection, just smooth healing. Glad you had a nice time with your mom last night, and how nice you will go out with them tonight. Are you taking pictures?

Lisa, I'm with you....got rid of all my bras, mostly VS bras, and sooooooo glad of it. Having the tatts means no headlights popping out...no bra needed here! So spoiled already, and love the freedom.

LL, I love Betty White too, but agree with Allison that she needs to SHARE the guys and can't come in here taking all the attention away from us! In fact I am on "her" lounge chair right now, as she gets up really late....hope I don't get caught. LOL.

Waiting for the DOTD....need some energy so I can tackle the attic again. Also have to recaulk the shower...not fun getting off the old caulk. Oh Gail, where for art thou? You were my partner in grime, as we always were doing projects at the same time! Hope you're ok....we miss you here.

Oh dear, Hope I didn't bump into you too hard, NM! Esp with your bad back...I can identify with that one. Hoping you get feeling better soon. AND thanks for having Pants refill mine and Bernie's dwinks...that was sweet. Interesting about the clinking glasses info...*ka-chink*! Love the calendar 2012 cartoon, and the cookbook organizing, as I have been trying to organize mine since before we moved, 7 yrs ago! I should never have started that, as now its out of the book and in piles! Nice to get a good sew mach for under $100....glad you have a plan and will get that soon. I have one that my mom had before she got her new fancy one (yrs ago), and I love it. M.y cabinet is so beautiful, but is over 50 yrs old, and is the one I grew up with. Of course back then, it had an old black Singer in it! Both my DD's have nice cabinets too, they are lucky as they are harder to find now. ONe of theirs was my mom's also, and another I bought from an ad. OK< twist my arm......but the Sombrero dwink sounds good....fill me up Pants!!!

DH found my scarf this morning....said it was frozen solid..its hanging on the door to the basement..think it needs washing...usually I wear it under my coat but I put it on top last night....and didn't know it was missing till I got home!!!!

I've given up on winning Mischa over....its not like she ignores me or anything...she just goes wherever DH is...if I think about it, it really makes me sad....but what can I do....and when I say anything, DH gets annoyed with me and makes stupid comments.....

Stayed in bed too long this morning and now in a funk....I should know better as that always happens....its after 9 and I haven't even gone for a walk yet....not sure if I want to take the dogs or not....(well only one at a time).....then need to get busy in the house...if I don't do it this week, it won't get done....major dusting (I don't dust most of the time), going through things etc.....

Wishing everyone a good hump day......

    Hello Loungettes,

So glad to hear that you all had a great Christmas.  Feels like I haven't been here for a week and SO much has happened, happy toes, implants, families, and even some dog news (I LOVE the dog news!!)

Speaking of which, I have a few clients who just WONT let anyone but me work with their dogs, so I actually get to go into work for just a few hours today-SOOO excited to see my favorite doggie clients, it's good for my spirit to be with them!!

Tomorrow is my third AC treatment-only one more to go after that, then a lil break and onto the taxotere.  Good thing is my ONC is setting up appts to interview plastic surgeons during the break! Any important questions I should ask that I may not think of having never done this??

Now what is the deal with my hair???? I've lost ALL the hair on my body except my eyebrows and lashes.  Are they just slow or do I get to keep them?

Guess I'd better get myself in gear and go to work.  I'm off to make doggies look beautiful!  You girls have a great day! :)

Wahine and Lisa, agree that going beanless is AWESOME! Love that freedom! But I was just so excited to get a sexy bra. In the past, all of mine had about 4 or 5 straps in the back! I bought two, one hot pink, one cheetah, no underwire, and they kinda push the girls together a bit, really sexy! And 36 C, not full!! I haven't been that size since I was 11! Lol

TieDye, so glad you're getting to work a little! And my brows and lashes were the last to go.

Mrs_Vino, me tinks your iphone auto correct is misbehaving. LOL at going "Beanless", me tinks you mean braless?? And you called Misha "mischange". Is it de pain pills or de phone? I hope you feel better, poor goil.

NM, great post. I loved your commentary and the cartoons and pics. Was LMAO at Maxine, she is so funny.

Tiedye, glad you are back to work. Good for you. I hope the doggies are behave. When I had my Mocha dog, I had a mobile groomer come here and insisted on having my gal Christine do my dogs. I now only need to have my two little one's nails clipped and do it myself although I do not get them short enough as I am afraid of cutting their little veins.

Good God, where was I when you were trying to get out of page 666? Me tinks I was a day late as it looks like I hog faced half of page 667. Sorry for the super long posts, I talk alot when me dwink and take de pain pill.

I am really concerned about the incision and wondering why my stitches were taken out so soon. I had zero pain on the revised side until yesterday and now it stings like a bee. I am doing all I can to protect the area and keep it clean but do not like how it looks, especially compared to the exchange side. This is a critical time for healing. I really want to place a call to the doctors office to inquire about this. Especially because of the pain, it really hurts. I took a half of a percocet dis morning and me had a few of NM's dwinkies. Okay, I had six.

Well I am going to try to work on my kitchen, what a mess I made in cooking. I have so many great leftovers to eat. Does anyone wanna join me for lunch? I have roast beef, turkey and stuffing or pork chops to choose from.

Unde', I hope your appointment went well and that you get the warm and fuzzy's when you met your PS.

Cheers to all. btw, NM, loved reading the history of the clink clink! I remember breaking Wahine's glass once when me toasted to hard.

Peace and lotsa love to all you goils. Happy Humpity Hump Dey.

Aww Karen, I agree with Allison.....keep some treats in your pocket....win her over, then she will adore you forever! When we brought our 2 home they werea round 2 yrs, (they had to go straight to vet for altering, from shelter, so they didn't even know us yet)....they were sooooo filthy and smelled bad. DH didn't want anything to do with them till they were clean. Me? Well, I laid on the floor cuddling them, just kept holding them. Guess who they are closest to? However Molly does favor my DH now, as he used to pick her up a lot. They both follow him all over the yard, UNTIL I come out, then...whoosh....they come to me. Esp Maverick, I am his favorite. Maverick would do anything for me. Now hurry up and get those treats!!!!
TieDye, good idea to interview PS's. I was 3 days away from surgery when I FINALLY followed my instincts (and everyones urging) and canc surgery, fired my PS and got a new (good) one. Make sure they are compassionate and CARE about what your feelings are, and what outcome you want. If there is a certain type of procedure you want, be sure that is what your PS does most of. The PS I picked who is excellent, did not do many LAT, DIEP, etc, mostly regular mast and TE recon, with silicone. So I liked him so much, I decided to go that route instead of having DIEP as I originally thought I wanted. Make sure your PS has someone in the office to answer the phone always, as you will be in their care after surgery, and may have questions or concerns. I am sure there are threads as far as what else to ask, but this is just what I can think of right now.

    OK....back into the attic....cheerio!

I would love to join you for leftovers....ours are mostly gone. Turkey went quick. I made a huge pot of turkey soup which we love so much, DH and I ate it all in 2 days. I throw everything in that will work....not mashed sweet potatoes, though. Yeah I noticed the "beanless" instead of "braless" and Micha's misspelled name too...poor Allison must still be going thru a lot!

OK....now DorK.....make that call....I am waiting to hear what they say....1...2...3...4...10...(I can't count).......

0k, my loving hawks, I just spoke to two nurses who assured me that I am fine. Was told to keep the area clean, dry and covered, just as our precious NM said!  It is hard to keep it covered as every time I raise my arm, the tape comes off. The gauze pad will not stay as only a corner of it can be tucked in the bra.  And it is hard to keep it clean as the area is in my super stinky arm pit and I feel that the sweat will make it more prone to infection..Since being on tamox, I sweat so much even when not in a hot flash.  Hate that so much. I can't even use antiperspirant either. As soon as I got in the room yesterday, I asked for an alcohol wipe for my armpits so that I did not make the nurse feel like vomiting over the stench.

I feel stupid too as I told the lady I was speaking too that I was not comfortable that I had a new nurse and guess what? She is the one who took out the stitches. She said she remembers the area that was pussy and again assured me that I am fine. But she did put Nurse Amy on the phone to further reassure me that all is well.  I need to get over my paranoia.

Allison, I had to lmao at the Beanless. I hope our Beanie does not think we do not want her here hehe!

    CHURCH BULLETIN BLOOPERS
Thank God for church ladies with typewriters. These sentences actually appeared in church bulletins or were announced in church services:
    * Bertha Belch, a missionary from Africa, will be speaking tonight at Calvary Methodist. Come hear Bertha Belch all the way from Africa.
    * The sermon this morning: "Jesus Walks on the Water." The sermon tonight: "Searching for Jesus."
    * Ladies, don't forget the rummage sale. It's a chance to get rid of those things not worth keeping around the house. Don't forget your husbands
    * The peacemaking meeting scheduled for today has been canceled due to a conflict.
    * Remember in prayer the many who are sick in our community. Smile at someone who is hard to love. Say "Hell" to someone who doesn't care much about you.
    * Don't l et worry kill you off - let the Church help.
    * Miss Charlene Mason sang "I will not pass this way again," giving obvious pleasure to the congregation.
    * For those of you who have children and don't know it, we have a nursery downstairs..
    * Next Thursday there will be tryouts for the choir. They need all the help they can get.
    * The Rector will preach his farewell message after which the choir will sing: "Break Forth Into Joy."
    * Irving Benson and Jessie Carter were married on October 24 in the church. So ends a friendship that began in their school days.
    * A bean supper will be held on Tuesday evening in the church hall.. Music will follow.
    * At the evening service tonight, the sermon topic will be "What Is Hell?" Come early and listen to our choir practice.

At hospital right now, scared to death. Woke up this morning and could not bear weight on my left leg for no reason. Also been having pain in my left rib for two weeks. Aubrey went to the movies with her PopPop, so I went to urgent care. They are scared it could be a blood clot!! OMG, so scared. They sent me to the hospital, just had chest CT with contrast, waiting for results and for them to do a Doppler on my calf. Pray please!!
