Hi girlz, Just came up to the room, had a good run of blackjack after a couple of hrs of terrible luck, so about even now, which is ok...left DH in casino to play his crappy craps. Went to about 5 diff casinos, and they are soooo EMPTY. Several are now closing the VIP rooms during week days, and 1 of the casino bars is closing weekdays also, and 1 casino closed its buffet. NEVER seen it so empty here, so of course the machines are tied to the wall....not paying out at all. We used to love coming weekdays as it wasn't as crowded, but this is tooooo dead, and now that so much is closing except on weekends, that is just sad. Did have a couple of beers and Jack/diet, but didn't want to overdo and get sick again.
Dork, what is going on???? Hate hearing that you have been feeling bad, and esp the high b/p and light-headedness. Not fun having your dinner come up, either. IF you don't feel better in the ayem, would you puleez call the dr? Hope you can get a good nights sleep. Nighty-night...let us know how you are doing in the morning, ok?

Yesterday not too many people commented on our Alabama shirts, but TODAY was another story. Scuby-all your gas is going toward healing, and the body heals best during sleep, so SLEEP already! Remember, taking time to baby yourself now means being totally recovered without setbacks sooner!
Karen-not as sore is a good sign. Have you tried heat or cold? Good that you're keeping moving with the dogs. A dwink or two might just be the thing to make you feel better!
Undy-I wonder if your DH would understand our lingo even if English was his primary language? Sometimes I think we talk a language all our own!
Wahine-I forget where you said you are, I just hope it's not Vegas! Going to the casinos when it's quieter is nice, but I do like there to be SOME people there (said like I go to casinos more often than once or twice a year!) .
Scuby-if you still can't sleep because of the pain please call your PS and get something stronger to take for a day or two. Some pain is tolerable, but not being able to sleep is a sign that the pain is out of control!

I had my check up today and was told I had to have a bone scan done 'just to make sure nothing was creeping up on me'. Love his diligence but he could have warned me and told me last time I saw him.....pouting here.........now I have to spend another two days here. Scan will be done first thing in the morning and results by lunchtime Friday. I'll let you know.

Good HUmp Day.....it started snowing around 5:30am and it is sooo pretty out...that is till you start driving!!! I walked Mischa at 6....its a relaxing morning for me as I don't need to leave till 7:45....about an hour later than the past two mornings and my commute is short today....but even so, just looked at the clock and its time to jump in the shower....wishing everyone a good day.

Morn eber 1....tank u tank u ALL fer da prayers for DD. She got sprung late yest afternoon on promise to stay home n rest. Da Bug Doc (infectious Disease) sed she got the pmonia from her last visit to hosp in late Dec for her kidney infection. Sed transplant pts often get pmonia, dey were all suprised took her 3 yrs. Her 'new kidney' 3rd anniversary was Jan 6. Seems like jes yesterday to me. All da prayers woiked...am berry glad it wasn't kidney rejection....whew!!
Allison - U LOOK MAUVALOUS! Was ur hair always curly? Dey tell me BC pts hair grows back curly if it was straight, straight if it was curly. Mine was straight n still straight. Not that I mind...n e hair better n no hair...am I rite?!? Did u say ur onco wants u on Aromasin? I be takin it, since I stopped chemo in early Sept. Doesn't seem to affect me much. Sue, SO HAPPY your DD is okay!!! YIPPEE!!! And hope she DOES rest and take it easy at home! No, Bama is doing fine, in fact where we live, we never even felt the recession, still booming there. We are in Tunica MS right now, about 5 hrs away. This area was the poorest county in the US before the casinos came here about 17 yrs ago. Have 10 huge casinos (the Grand has 3 hotels), each casino has large hotel, etc. Now they have nice roads, nice schools, etc. So if the casinos suffer then i worry about this area. Tunica is below Memphis TN (maybe 30 min drive).
Scuby, can't wait to hear about the reveal! But will you email me too, as on the road I just can check emails on my phone....too hard to get onto websites that I don't even do that much. Hoping they look awesome, and you are totally pleased with them!!! ALso hope for perfect healing.

I think that get some sleep and feel better DOTD hits the spot! And yes, Goldie sweetness, I'm doing much better. Gonna guzzle more DOTD and have a Whiskey Wednesday Cherry Apple Whiskey Sour Popsicle Chaser cuz it's so cold here I feel like a popsicle!
Cherry Apple Whiskey Sour Poptails
Makes eight 2-and-1/4-oz. popsicles
3 cups cherries (weighing 1lb)
1 large green apple (weighing 6oz)
1 lime (weighing 3 1/2oz)
1 cup whiskey
½ cup of sweet and sour mix (homemade recipe follows)Directions
1. Pit cherries; set aside. Peel away apple and lime skin and cut fruit into quarters.
2. Place all ingredients in a food processor or blender and process until mixture is pureed. Mixture will be thick.
3. Pour mixture into popsicle forms and freeze for about 2 hours or until mixture starts to solidify enough to hold a popsicle stick upright. Insert popsicle sticks and finish freezing popsicles overnight. To release popsicles run hot water on the outside of popsicle molds for a 2-3 seconds.
Sweet and Sour Mix
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup lemon juice1. Place sugar and water in a sauce pan and heat until sugar dissolves. Add lemon juice and stir to combine. Set aside to cool before using.

Good afternoon, Loungettes! Spent a lovely afternoon wandering around in stores after my counseling session. Didn't get much but I did take myself out for lunch. Kinda tired now, but that's ok.
Goldie-I am feeling fine from the sinus surgery. The biggest issue I'm still struggling with is getting tired easily. I guess I expect to bounce back from surgery like I did when I was a kid, and it's not happening. But, it will come. So kind of you to carry the drinks while we wandered around! I was pretty sure Wahine wasn't in Vegas, now I remember her mentioning Laughlin, thanks for setting me straight!
Chrissy-"make sure nothing is creeping up on you"? If one of my docs said something like that to me I would be permanently freaked out! I'm another one that doesn't do well with surprises like that, either. Don't those docs have any idea what it's like to be on our side of this thing???? At least you'll get your results quickly, I had to wait almost a week!

Its only 7:45 and it feels like bedtime!!!! Debating whether I should bundle up and take Mischa for a walk or get my jammies on and being lazy....I walked her at 6 this morning and DD said that DS walked both dogs this afternoon...right now Mischa is alseep on the family room floor...and Bear is sleeping somewhere else....we've put the gates up over the dining room and living rooms to keep the dogs out during the day....
My work week is over...but I have a couple reports I need to do tomorrow morning....shouldn't take more than 1/2 hour to one hour!!! Don't have anything else on the calendar....have till 2:30 when I pick up carpool....so guess what I'll be doing? I need to clean....the floors are filthy.....wet dog paws and dog floor sure do a job on floors....plus the bathrooms.....And I need to make myself take a walk in the morning.....Going to take DD out for dinner....Oh yeah...need to start cooking for Shabbat as I have a meeting at Komen on Friday that will cut into my cooking time....My gf is coming for dinner....she is more like family so its not work.....
Side is still bothering me on and off....and so is stomach....don't want to share too much info, but think the stomach is constipation....if not then I'm worried....but don't want to worry so will go with something easy!!! Think I'm just going to hang in till I see my onc the 3rd week in February.....if its something, will deal with it then.....Major sinus headache tonight......took musinex and 4 ibuprofen, but it hasn't done anything.....

DorK....last night it was virtual wine.....I haven't had any wine in real time for a couple or 3 days....not sure if I miss it or not....Been getting into bed early...thats not me either!!! but I guess I need the sleep....
Well....I think I'm going to bundle up and go for a short walk...its the only way to take off the extra pounds....

Hi girlz, Got home late, and just trying to ketchup on some weading. Bernie, gotta tell you that Guinness joke was purrrfect for my DH, so I just read it to him. And, funny thing, I was able to get a bit of an Irish brogue while telling it! ANYWAY that has been his favorite beer for years, and too bad we didn't get to go in the factory while there. BUT on game night Monday, in the vip room, they brought Guinness in JUST FOR HIM! So he had quite a few. We can't find it at the other casinos in Tunica, so that was very special. Thought you would like knowing that.
NM, we were just in Tunica,MS which is a 5+ hr drive away. Not Laughlin, but Lowwi was there not too long ago. Funny plane cartoon!!! Hope it doesn't ever get that bad though...lol. Ok girl, now I know I need to take you shopping.....we could do some big damage! But even though you didn't get anything, at least you had a good time!

All your posts, jokes, and cartoons have been awesome!!! Luv, luv, luv them! Today there was a lot of flooding here, along with severe thunderstorms, and my DD had to wait till afternoon to come and feed our furbabies. Just saw a couple of views of it on the news, and it was really something. They had to rescue some people, and areas were impassable. And now they say snow flurries for tomorrow! Glad to be back home, and sooooo nice for the big welcome from Maverick and Molly!!! Take care girls, and everyone TRY to stay well for awhile, ok? Seriously, hope everyone is doing good!
