Good morning, Loungettes! Had a great time with my friends yesterday evening. Went to see One for the Money, which I have been looking forward to for a while now. Overall, I'd give it a B. The movie doesn't follow the story line terribly closely, but I expected that. The movie does capture the "flavor" of the book, for lack of a better term. Katherine Heigl (sp?) did a great job playing Stephanie. I would like to have seen more of Gramma Mazure, but I don't think she was a big character in that first novel. Some nice chemistry. I'd go see it again.
Beanie--It was a good day, even if it was snowing. Fortunately, the slippery stuff didn't come through until after I got home! You make a good point about how someone just dropping in can think we're all a bit daffy, or drafty, or just plan dwunky! Some of us just need to have a little disinhibitor on board in order to let the emotional pain out, and that's what we get here. When I was house hunting back in the 90's I looked at a house with a shag rug, it was originally white, I think, but it was in front of a fireplace and was more beige the closer it got to the fireplace. Very not attractive! There's a lot of talk on the Arimdex side effect thread on coconut oil for dry skin, dry doodah, so I wonder why it wouldn't work for dry hair????? And LOVE the pics!!!!

DorK--Oooooh, I do not like dentists, dental hygienists, or oral surgeons. I missed my last cleaning appointment and haven't rescheduled, but that was only 4 months ago. I suppose I've got to get back on that bandwagon again. Does go better with a drink or a xanax, or both. . . .

Wish I had some Lemon Drops to suck on during my meeting this am--not boring but not fun, either. Tedious, I guess. Mostly because it was slippery driving and it took me too long to get to the office, not enough time left to go to Dunkin Donuts for my Large Hot Cinnamon Latte Lite and a bagel, so I was hungry and decaffienated.
Tidy--YIKES, what a ride! And how traumatizing for your son! Like you would have had any interest at all in looking at that moment. Probably he wanted out before he started vomiting, too!

Just a quick check in. First, have to tell u that I did have nipples surgically made today, will do tattoos later. I thought the 3D tattoos looked great, but the pics I liked the best had nipples made first. I emailed back and forth with Earleen, and decided to go this route. Took about an hour and a half, was so weird to lay there while being cut on. Took a .5 Xanax prior as I was a little anxious, and that helped. Now sitting in a restaurant across the street from the pharmacy, waiting to pick up my antibiotic, having an early dinner with DD. DH had a meting, so just us. Ready to go home and get in bed! All bandaged up til Friday. He says they will shrink by at least 3/4; thank God, cause they look like something out of a National Geographic magazine right now.
Tie dye, so sorry u are having all the chemo problems! But have to say you had me cracking up!! Your son must be a teenager, right? No chance of him saying "mom, are you OK?" lol

NM, so glad you had a night out with your friends and had some fun! And you know, me tinks I am ammune to de dentist. In my whole life (since having teefers), I have only come out of my six month check ups one time without any cavities. I hope you do not wait to long to get your appointment over with. And wow, snow, I think you have had enough. We have had only two snow storms and one was in October. It is time for a good snow storm, Next time one blows in, can you blow it down here? And me tinks me likes to torture myself. I had an eye doc appointment today. I hate having my eyes dilated but it had to be done. I was home by 3pm and chose not to go back to work, it is hard working with all the glare from having the eyes dilated. I think I hate that one more than dentist appointments. I wish I could go for you, you know I would.

Alli, How did I get so funcused? NO, do not answer that....lol. At foist I taught you were getting nips made, den I taught you said just tatts, so den I was wong again, and you did have nips made. GLAD they will shrink....so funny....like Nat'l Geographic! I know they will be awesome when they heal and you hab da tattoos done too.
Dorkie, Glad you got to go back home, since eyes got dilated. My dr today scheduled the endoscopy for next Friday. When he saw my blk toenails he got me SO worried....said that is ony from deep vein blockage, etc., and I said I am having VNUS surgery Tues on both legs....he said "VNUS Stripping"? I said, I guess, as its VNUS. So he told me I might be in deep trouble w/ that surgery and even called the surgeon. But apparently the plain VNUS is ok....boy I did a lot of praying in that room. Anyway, all seems like it will be ok. But he was SO sweet to care so much....he is not evey charging copay right now as he just changed to his own practice, etc. HE comes highly recommended, and it is nice to see a dr that cares more for the patient than for the bottom line. SO, have pre-op tomorrow, den 2 procedures next week where they will put me in lala land. Thanks for the anniversary wishes!

Just thought of something I wanted to tail you ladies....on monKEYdey dis week, I came home for lunch. When I returned, I had to find parking and it was not easy finding a spot. While searching, I noticed a license plate in our parking lot that read "H T L". I smiled so big and got such a kick out of it. I went into our employee directly and did a search. I entered H as the first letter of the first name and L as the first letter of the last name. I came up with 14 hits of people with these possible initials. Our directory does not have middle initials

Scoobie, don't be hard on youself girl, normal menopause is hard enough but surgical menopause is horrendous. It will calm down a bit but it does take some time so have a gentle word to your DH an explain to him so he doesn't think he's causing your angst and just try to go with the flow.

Chrissy, so sorry to hear the news about your cuz. Rat B@$turd sure makes it's rounds. Something just isn't right, what is causing all of this cancer? Hope your cholesterol is down, I have probs with that too. I am told it's a SE from the Arimidex. Happy that you will get your knees bixed up. We do our playing on the weekend and if we don't work, we don't make any money, and if we don't make any money, we would have to move! Our business being successful or a failure has everything to do with US, and US only. And Stella is being goot.

Darn, I hate that your cousin got that horrid news...and hoping it was caught early and she can kick it to da curb. That really sucks. My SIL's sister is doing badly....started with throat c, then lung c, and now I heard it just spread all over. At the throat dr yesterday, a nurse was talking about the new "swab" da mouth to detect bc...supposed to be more accurate and earlier detection than mammo or ultrasound. HOPE to God it works and can save lives!!!
Lori, Hiya girlfriend! I am up when you are....amazing. Well, you might wanna google the VNUS....the surgery is not supposed to be that bad, but having both legs at once might be a bit painful. Its different than vein stripping, which my throat dr thought I was having, and with the toe probs, he thought that could be very dangerous. He is the only one who seems to figure out the toe prob may be from deep vein blockage. The vein surgery is Tues, and the throat scopy is on Fri. SO, you all can get on the bus and UFO and just camp out here for a few days! Warning though, we have had TONS of rain this month, and more on the way.
