DorK, don't yell............it's too early in da morning! And Stella is still sleeping, you will wake her.

How neat, Lori!!! I don't recognize the guy in the bottom picture though.....good eye candy! Pants is making up some more coffee as dose dwinks are going fast!!!
I need to get up and get movin, as have my pre-op at the hospital today.

Der ........ How dumb am I?.... Of course she meant you will all be here for support. I'm not sure where my mind was, perhaps deep in the bottom of the Irish coffee cup..... Lol
0 -
Chrissy, someday I will get to Oz, maybe 2013? Need at least 2 weeks, maybe 3, plus lots of moolah!
In the interim, the UFO it is, after we head to see Wahine in Bama. The bottom guy with Lori's step DD is from the Mark Harmon NCIS series. Agree, not too shabby to look at! Lori, she's got a great smile, like you, that's neat!
Later...0 -
Lori how did you get so lucky to get a gorgeous girl like that? That fellow she's with ain't half bad either........ Lol

Good morning, Loungettes! Just got back from having blood draw (for cholesterol and liver function) didn't pass out, so it was a good draw! Still wish there was a better to way to do all this needle stuff.

Mrs. Vino--Hooray for the new nipples! My PS described making nipples as "skin origami" which I thought was kind of funny. I'd probably need way more than 0.5 of xanax to be able to lie still knowing I was getting cut on!
DorK--First step is to call and make an appointment with the dentist. That will be for months from now, unless things have changed there a lot. I suppose I could make the appointment and then forget about it for a while. I don't mind the eye doctor stuff, probably because I've needed glasses or contacts since I started school. After a prescription update I can usually see so much better that it's worth the dilating thing. Besides, getting my eyes dilated is a good excuse to come home and take a nap!

Wahine--why would any of US take a lamp shade from your room in Tunica??????
Sounds like you have a great doc, and a keeper! Have fun in Lala Land!
Stella-- you do know how to have a good time! Want some company????
DorK--neat plate, was it in PINK????
Beanie--got the tenders moving the percotini fountain over next to you. What you done to yourself that you are needed the percotini fountain?????
Karen--YES, weather can make sinus headaches worse. When the sinuses get blocked and then the barometric pressure drops (like when a storm is coming in) the air and mucus trapped in the sinuses expands and causes pressure. The pressure causes PAIN. Been through that, not fun. Glad things are better at home.

Chrissy--I am so upset that the rat ba$tard got your cussin. It's not fair! It's wrong! Am glad the knee surgery got moved up, though. Maybe we need to start a dental phobia support group here in the lounge. We can experiment and find out which dwinks are the best for dealing with the dentistry stuff??

Goldie--your step DD is beautiful!

Oh, LOVE your post, NM! Moi? Did Moi weally accuse an HTL hottie from taking lampshades? Nah...couldn't have been anyone here... *wink, wink*! THe kitten in lampshade pic is adorable. Hope your chol and liver function will turn out A-OK! Guess I'll get a blood draw soon at the hospital, too. Ouch!
DorKie, I think awhile back you mentioned how I seemed to breeze thru the bilat mast/recon process. Yeah, it actually was ok. I went into my first surgery HAPPY...really....I was looking forward to being in lala land. And my DD came in from out-of-state and spent the day wif me (my surg was early evening). So I was in the best mood...sillly me wasn't thinking about the pain after waking up!!! Now that was horrid. I also react badly to the meds. So its rough for a few days, but the actual recon went well. Can't complain. I feel so badly for you and other gals who have had so much go wrong, and have to go in for fix-it surgeries. I had just a fix-it on my sides, but only cuz the fat had settled there. So hoping yours is working out super well this time. You had it so hard, but still kept up your upbeat attitude. Here's to you....*kachink*!
Thanx for 'splainin who was in the bottom pic, Scoobs! I don't watch that show, but he IS good-looking!
Had all the Irisuhhh coffeessshh I can handle....onto the Kill the Rat Ba$tard dwinks....bwing em on, Jock!

Not Mark Harmon....Michael Wetherly from NCIS. Harmon is much older, but easy on the eye as well!

Your daughter is GAWGEOUS, Lori!!!

OMG Lori, talk about gorgeous!!!! That one knocks your socks off!! Her hubby is a bit of a honey too. Must say, your DD has good taste.
NM I'm with you for sure when it comes to needing a dentist support group.....lol. Love the DOTD!!!!
Think I'll head to the bar and get me a couple of the kill the rat b@st@rd before I head off to bed. It's 3.00am here so I'd best try to get some sleep. Have a great day all!!
TITZ UP!!!!!0 -
Hi Goils,

Lori, great pics, very impressive. I did not recognize the dude on the bottom but sure saw the guy on the top and his wonderful story of survival. I am glad that Stella is being a good goil but can yo u please tail her to stop calling me a work? She is calling eight times an hour and just snorting and hanging up. HIDE YOUR PHONE tehehehe!!
Well I am going to stroll over to de percotini fountain for a few dwinkies den get back to work. Cheers!

Chrissy....hooray for good news on the knee replacement.....D*** on your cousin haven't to join this sisterhood....but I'm sure you send her our way....does she live close to you?
Goldie....your kids are so handsome and pretty.....not to be dumb, but I don't know either guy with your step DD
Don't mind the dentist....but mine is pretty gentle and does a good job numbing....its the sound of the drill that drives me nuts...thankfully her waiting room is a large area outside the office....its a dental arts bldg and there are 4 practices on her floor who share a waiting area....so I don't have to hear the drill on someone else while waiting.....but I do keep a tight fist......she just got a new hygienist who isn't too bad...but I loved the one who retired....was soooo gentle.....I had to have some major work done right after Dx before I started chemo......and now have some teeth that are holding out for major work....but don't want to do it before I have to.....And like NM, I don't mind eye exams, but my eye doc doesn't dilate eyes....checks pressure some other way.....only reason I like going is so I can get new frames!!!!
Today is the calm before the storm......it is supposed to snow starting around dinner time and into tomorrow....6 - 12 inches predicted....lets see how the weather man does.....A good day to stay home and cook....my girlfriend is coming for shabbat dinner...then its just us.....not sure if DS is home and DD may have dinner with her synagogue youth group, but she won't go if the weather is bad....we don't want to get her in lots of snow....and remember its walking.....so for now, I'd say she'll be home with us.....
Tomorrow is 6 years from Dx.....had my first set of biopsies 6 years ago today.....left pretty sure it was cancer....especially when I said to rad onc, "I don't know how I will tell my DD#1 (she has just gone back to 2nd sememster the beginning of the week) and rad onc said "you'll have to tell her, and the nurses her can help you.....now if thats not a clue of what was to come.....she could have said you'll cross that bridge.....I did not sleep that night at all....and I was a wreck worry how to tell her when she was in Chicago and we were in Denver....that is a whole other story in itself......will tell you another time.....Last year at 5 years, got a sweet picture from DD#2 and voice message from DS (DH told him the date).....but don't know if much will get made of the date tomorrow....DD#2 knows the date.....today is my SIL's 30th b'day.....so DD#2 and I were talking dates yesterday.....I'm happy to be here 6 years later, but I will celebrate later this month when I see my onc and get confirmation that I'm still NED...I am not the person I was 6 years ago and still trying to figure out how to get her back....if she can find her way home.....it has big implications for so many things/people in my life!!! Well....damn.....if I could only cry!!!
Its ironic....as bad as this past week has been....I haven't had any wine in real time.......just haven't felt like it......
Well.....I have some errands I need to get done today....its just after 11 here in Denver and I have till 4 when I pick up DD and carpool from school......so I best get off the computer......Have a good day!!

Chrissy - Yeah, my DH and I have always been self employed...has been great sometimes and others a lotta headaches Fo shur!
Wahine - Congratulations to your parents, that is such a sweet love story. I'm so sorry to hear about your SIL, just awful. Had not heard about the new swab da mouth to detect bc. That would be wonderful if it worked. Much easier than a biobsy. We will get the Magic Party Fleet all ready for your sugery on Tues and I sure hope it is not painful and will clear up da probs wif your pwetty toes. Don't worry about the rain, we will be so small the rain drops will miss us. I love the Irish coffee this morning, really hits the spot!
Scuby - Hang in there with instant menopause...it has been a rollercoaster for me, but seems I'm getting a little better with time. It has been hard on my DH too, I've had mood swings, melt downs, lotta tears and crankiness, followed by very up beat and happy - pwetty cwazy stuff. Then the hot flashes and night sweats have been a total blast. Anyway, it does get better with time, but there is an adjustment period that's kinda rough. Glad you are taking time to let thing settle a bit. And I'm hoping you will get past the transition really fast. Love the Green Flash West Coast IPA BOTD and will join you for one by da pool!
Goldie - Your step Dau and your Baby Girl are both lovely!! Thanks for posting!! Chrissy is right too, her DH is a looker!
NM - So glad you survived your blood draw (gawd I hate that!) and I hope all turns out good news. LOL at the milk father cartoon! Thanks too for moving the percotinit fountain closer to me, I really need a big dwink today! Love the dental fear!! I sure have that...need to go but have too much fear!! Perfect DOTD!!! YAY!!! KILL THE RAT BA$TARD!!! LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!
DorK - The guy on top looks really sweet, was not sure what had happened, but you mentioned his story of survival...I must have missed that...where is his story told? OMG that Stella calling you and snorting and hanging up...does she need another spankin?
Well, mese gotta get my butt in gear, so will grab about 10 jugs of KILL THE RAT B*STARD. But first I need to finish my 18 cups of Irish Coffee and 99 bottles of FLASH BOTD...and just for extra insurance about 25 princess cups of percotini. Then I will feel up to the rest of the day. Dere are a lotta surgeries comin up so gotta track down the fleet and the tenders to get ebberythin poyfect for each of you!

Awwwwww Beansie, we can't have you down in da dumps. You iz tooo sweet for dat! I love all the pics you posted....no excuse for us not to be where we need to! Glad you are here partaying wid us tho, and hope after enuf wodka, you will feel mucho bettah. Love and Hugs to you, dear friend! The guy in the top photo is JR Martinez, and he got burned badly in Iraq, lost an ear (or 2?), was in a coma, etc...some buddies got killed in that explosion too I think, You can google him, or look at this link http://abcnews.go.com/Health/LivingWithPain/jr-martinez-burn-recovery-coma-dancing-stars/story?id=14693411. But then some music comes on. ANYWAY he went on to be on Dancing with the Stars, and I think he even won. I watched it but watch so mannnny shows I foiget. He inspired so many other burn victims to not give up. He went on to become a tv actor after his burn injuries. Really a great guy! OK now, you get better, ok??? Pwetty pwease????
Karen, Yeah sounds like a real lotta snow heading your way. Hope you got all stocked wid likker and food! Be sure to stay safe!! Glad your 6 yrs is tomorrow...you've come a long way. I agree, none of us are the same. But for me I also think it is aging, and then gaining weight that changed me. Prolly from getting bc, but I wonder if it might have happened anyway? Since I am not on meds for bc, I feel it is my fault I have gained so much weight.
NM, I wish you could have had the nurse I had today. When she drew blood, I could hardly feel it. During the pre-op, I kept getting funcused, since I have surgery on Tues, and then a procedure at another hospital with another dr on Friday. My head is spinning!
Well, we wondered why my parents water bill & sewer bill has been sky high the past 2 months or longer ($80/month), with no one even there. We think there is a leak underground, and even though we have had tons of rain, some areas seemed even more drenched. Plus we could hear water "hissing" at one shower. And that house is on a slab, so am so hoping it isn't going to be too expensive to get it fixed. Yuck. If it isn't one thing, it is ten. DH has his physical tomorrow, then starts going to the dr weekly for shots in his knee (that the Delta gal ran into with the cart). I think he has another dr appt next week too. AArrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! And as Junie would say.... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!Ok girlz, it is close to Pau Hana time in Central zone. It is actually dwinking time where Dorkie and Scooby, and NM are!!! Of course, I know.....ANYTIME is dwinking time!!! WooHoo!!!!
Suck 'em Up,
Kathy Wahine Mahine

Beans, thanks for managing the fleet, luv de UFO's, so useful for criss crossing the globe... Don't like da balloons though, DH and I got a ride in one as a gift, the driver (or whateber you call him), ran the balloon into the top of a tree, we almost got dumped out...)! Anyways...
DorKy, so wishing you didn't hab a cold, puleez take care of yourself, make sure Stella gives you lots of juice, K?
Well, gonna try and get some sleep... Cheers.0 -

Scuby, you made me laugh talkin about the balloon driver. Hmmm, wonder what the word would be for that guy. Yikes, I am with you, will not be doing that anytime soon. Have you tried opening a window or putting a fan on? That seems to help me through most nights although I still wake up all sweaty now and then. I feel your pain.
Juliet, sorry for only cyber dwinking, that stinks. Hope you feel better soonliest. A cold will not keep me down. I am going to work and going to kick this thing.
I waiting for de Stella, mese foyget what time she coming home. Can't wait to see her.
Gotta get moving goils...to all a berry happy and dwunkedy fried-dey! CheerS!

Good morning, Loungettes! Goat sunrise throwing sparkles off the snow, and rainbows through the crystals. Very pretty. Slept almost 12 hours and STILL tired. I cannot figure out why I am so tired this last week or so. Corny as it sounds I 'm getting tired of being tired! Oh, well, I'm not in pain and can do things if I get my butt in gear, so I really shouldn't complain.

Wahine--Nah, you didn't accuse anyone in the HTL, but you did ask if anyone knew where the lampshade went, which was kinda a hint you were tinking dat way! Wink, wink, nudge, nudge! I'll get the test results when I see my PCP next week. I am so disgusted to be taking a pill to lower my cholesterol when I don't even believe in all that cholesterol/heart attack/stroke crap. I took lipitor for a while years ago and still remember how much I hurt all over all the time. Couldn't take the hurting anymore and quit taking it. Now that kind of pain would be annoying, but not much more. Strange how our reactions to things changes so much after meeting the rat ba$tard. I was very lucky with my recon, never needed any touch ups or any other work at all since I opted not to have fipples.
Goldie--pretty, pretty lady, your baby
Chrissy--hope the dwinkies helped you sleep! Wish I could send some of my sleeping all the time to you and the other ladies who are having trouble sleeping! I've been there and done that, know how annoying it can be.

DorK--Did Jocks remember to give you the flask full of percotinis to take to work with you? A "discreet" way to keep up with the dwinking and the pain medication all in one!

Karen--I cringe when I hear the dental drill, too, but mostly because it makes me remember the times that I had to endure 4 or 5 or 6 needles and STILL didn't really get numb. Anything requiring a needle these days sends me to an oral surgeon who can put me out first. The I just have to deal with the IV needle thing, which is better than the other, since I can not look at the needle when they start an IV, can't help but see that huge needle coming at my mouth!!!!! Congrats on 6 years! I've got 5 years next month, and I'm still trying to figure out how to get the woman I was back, too. I'm beginning to think that will never happen, not sure how I feel about the woman I am now When I left the office after my biopsy I pretty much knew it was bc, too. Actually, I think I knew, on some subconscious level even before I found the lump. I had been having nightmares about being forced to take chemo and being in horrible pain for months before I found the lump. Seems like all I did was cry for months. Wish I could cry for you, Karen, and I wish you could cry, too.

Beanie--I can understand you're feeling down about your website. It's hard to lose something that you've put a lot of work into. Is there any way you can copy or save any of the material on your current site and transfer it? Still won't be the same, but might save some time and work, if it's possible. And it seems you have every form of transportation available covered in our fleets! Yeah Beanie!

Wahine--my PCP's office nurse is wonderful. She gets me on the first stick, every time, and I use EMLA cream so I usually don't feel a thing. I'm not surprised you are funcused, all that appointment stuff to keep track of. You need your own personal aide to manage all that stuff for you, and make sure you get where you need to be on time! Hope the water leak isn't too hard to fix, and doesn't cost much, isn't home ownership a wonderfully expensive hobby?
Oh, DorKy- so sad to year you aren't feeling well! NM says take lots of fukitols, dwink lots of percotini fluids, and let Mr. Big rock you gently in the hammock for the next day or few. I'll have Jocks order in some Arnica infused massage oil and use that on your poor, achy body. Remember, alcohol is (1) great at killing germs and (2) a great, but sadly underused anesthetic.

Stella--Youse such a good goil to help Goldie at woik! Hooray for Youse! Now I wish I'd called just to hear you say youse line!

Juliet--it's just not fair when you get over something and IT COMES BACK! Just not fair!!!!

Throw all in a glass and ignite. When flame goes down, chug but make sure you have a chaser, or you're in trouble.0 -
Thank you goyles, for the compliments on my girls. Especially MINE and her hubby.
Oh dear DorK, I am afraid I am too late to hide the phone, as I am just now getting the news. No wonder she kept taking the phone into the bathroom! And I knew NOTHING about the lamp shades, honest. (innocent, I tell ya) Stella will be leaving this morning. She sayed she did not want to go to Wal Mart.
Karen, one guy is JR. He served our country and stepped on mine field, or something, and was burned very badly. He also did Dancing with the Stars. Super nice guy. The other guy plays on NSIC, or something like that. I do not watch that show. (I see Kathy is ‘splaining too) Congrats on your 6 years, praying for NED results. Also hoping you don't get buried in that white chit. We got some overnight, just enough to make for a muddy drive to town. Just heard on the news, you could get 2'!!!
Beans, I no understand why you have to do your website all over? When is your time up, and I will see if I can save it for you. Do you have access to all of the pictures, and how many pages do you have. So sorry for you goilies that are having these mood swings with all the crying, depression and biotchiness. I guess I will thank my lucky stars, I did not get that. Love all the fleets.
Kathy, I totally think age has something to do with things. Our metabolisms change, but then I think the meds plays a role in it too. Well, I know it does! Shore hope the water problem isn't too big.
Oh shoot Dork. Sawwy you is sick. You want me to keep Stella a little longer? She might be a comfort to you tho too.
OMG Scuby, your balloon story is horrid. I don't blame you for not liking them! I had a bad experience on a horse, thought for sure he was gonna toss me down the side of a mountain in the Grand Tetons. As for the hot flashes and night sweats, been dealing with them for over 3 years now. I am up probably every hour from one or the other.
Juliet, you feel better too. Gheesh, so many goils wif a bug.
Pretty pretty pictures NM. But I no likey snow! I do not miss it at all, and we have had more snow here in AZ than my family in MI! You are another "tired" one. Have you had YOUR thyroid levels checked? I sure hate to make suggestions to you "the nurse". But I'm sure you are aware of this? I have the cholesterol issues too. All of this, I am told from either rads or Arimidex. I guess you wouldn't have gotten Stella on the phone, since that is NOT what she was doing. See DorK's post!
I am heading to da shower, and I will get Stella up when I am done, so she can get ready to go home.
LUB the Germ Eradicator, hail, you would think that would kill anything, ever the Rat Ba$tard! (I wish)

Woke up to about 10 inches of the white stuff....another 8 - 12 inches is predicted by tomorrow morning....all schools are closed....actually they made the decision to close fairly early last evening so DD was doing the happy dance....she is sleeping in.....wonder if she wants to go sledding...of course that means I have to drive her to a sledding hill a couple miles away....
Time to go jump in the shower and start cooking for Shabbat dinner....put up potatoe leak soup last night....need to get my challah up, figure out a dessert...rest of the menu is chicken schnitzl, noodle kugel, corn kugel, hot veggie......will try to bbl
6 years ago today!!!

Goldie, Have a good day in town....hope you can get there/back safely with dat snow making a muddy mess. Also hoping Stella will not get in ANY more trouble and you can send her safely home to Dorkster. What an experience you had with her! She did not answer my PM though....
Scoobs, Yikes! What a scare!!! WHen we did our hot air balloon ride in AZ (with Champagne and bfast after), it was SO mild. Ya see, there was a BAD accident the day before, where some people died, it was also in AZ. So my DH was scared shitless (can I write that?) as he hates heights to begin with, and was just doing that for me. SO I think all the hot air balloon companies were super-careful that day, and took us waaaaaay out and didn't go as high...no trees around! IT was fun though, and I spent the time hanging out the side, taking pictures. My DH was somewhere in the middle of the basket, trying not to look out!!! As for the hot flashes, omg we can all identify with that! ALSO, do you have a memory foam mattress? They really hold in the heat...they have that at the casinos we stay at and it gets SO hot. Keep a small folding fan by your bed, maybe a glass of ice water tooo? Well the others had good ideas too! I keep the house very cool at night, and DH just uses more layers!
Oh yeah Beansie, I sure hope you can recover all that website stuff. That sucks, after all that hard work. I know nothing of all of that, but hope Lori might be able to help. BEST of luck with that! Hoping you are feeling okay today!
NM, Glad your PCP's nurse can stick you without pain...what a difference that makes! YES, homeownership comes with the problems doesn't it. And we have 4 places to worry about, so there is always something. I am surprised our plumber DID NOT call back last night....but DH is heading to his physical, so will have to make more calls when he gets home. THeir yard is so beautiful there (parents), that I hate to even see that front yard all dug up....I guess that would have to be done though. Such a gawgeous, sparkling picture you posted!
