Love it Spunky!  I figured it was going to be a foob or nip dream when you mentioned you had a dream.  I had a foob nightmare the other night.....geez!  What's up with that?  Chicken pot pie sounds much better than my dream!

Hey Girlfriends,  I have some super duper awesome fantastic news.

Its not cancer.   It was very big he said it was dead tissue  probably from all the reconstruction.  Onc says it will probably happen again and I may want to consider having the implants removed later on.  The surgeon said nope  he removed the area and it should not happen again.  Sooooooo, I am leaving it alone.  I am so excited I just cant hardly stand to be with myself.  ha ha.  Thank you for always being by my side and careing.  Love Buddy

Buddy - SO HAPPY to hear your great news!!!!!!

Hi to all - sorry I haven't been keeping up.  Very busy at work this week.  But, get this -- I got a promotion!  They said it was in the works before I told them of my diagnosis, but they wanted me to know that my diagnosis would not impact my progress at my company.  I have only been working there for 8 months, so I wasn't expecting to be promoted till at least the 1 year mark.  Was really nice to have some good news  Really, work has been like a sanctuary in some ways for me because every single person there who knows about my diagnosis has been incredibly kind and supportive. Today is my second chemo.  Hair is starting to come out (luckily I have alot to start with, so not really noticable to anyone but me).  Picking up wig tomorrow.  Have some scarves. Sigh.  One of my best girlfriends is coming with me today.   DH is home, but wanted to  give him a break from BC today,  it has been hard on him.  He will be home this weekend, thankfully, so I won't have to run the kids around all by myself like last weekend.  Much easier when we can divide and conquer!  Thinking of you all -- L

Budders....whew! So very happy for you! But I have to ask...does your onc not approve of implants? Glad your surgeon is disagreeing here!

Lemon drop....good news on the promotion! So sorry about the hair tho...it's hard waiting for it to go, isn't it? But...once it's gone, it's gone and for a lot of us it was much easier then. I swear...all this waiting, waiting, waiting....it sometimes was the worst part.

Foggy out...be careful this am til it burns off....

Yes it looks very dense out.  I will be a nervous wreck, I am letting the teen take the care to school.

Wendy, I think the Onc is responding to all the complications I have had.  I mentioned about wishing I had never had them put in.  He said for most people they work out great.  Just not in my case.

OMG Buddy happy dancing for you. I think this calls for a linky  (oldie but goodie) Buddie if they still don't behave there are other options.

Lemondrop that's fantastic. Seems like you work at a great place. Yes I too had lost of hair so when it fell out I actually didn't go into scarves right away. My first chemo was 10.5.2010. Take a look at the 10/10 photo (hair hadn't started to fall yet) then 19 days after 1st chemo.  linky

Love this weather. Perfect for powerwalking. If the groundhog sees his shadow and we end up having more of this winter I won't be unhappy.

Buddy -- That is awesome news!

Lemondrop -- Congrats on the promotion.....  what a great company.

Off to the gym......  actually have time for this now, kind of nice, and hoping that taking some time off helps me get into a better routine.  Mudroom and all kitchen closets and pantries completely cleaned out!  All that is left is to reorganize the kitchen cabinets before I move onto the office.

Hope everyone is having a good day, and extra warm thoughts to those in treatment right now.....

What a great day Buddy and Lemon.  Buddy, I felt like it was going to be ok --- but never-the-less it is always a lot of baited breath.  I'm so thrilled that it turned out.....and that you will be able to keep your implants.......you did PAY health-wide quite a lot for them.  I think just waiting and going with the flow for now is pretty sound advice.

Lemon.....yes, the hair has to go, but thank goodness it is temporary.  I think about the old time movies.....this isn't quite what was said " Your hair or your life "...... so difficult as it sometimes is, once you start working with and experiencing " bald " hopefully you will be fine. I think we end up with so many other issues at this time that the hair or lack of, is just one more thing and a lot of the other things take some precedence.  Bald can be beautiful --- just look at Lago's pictures.  I was not.....I have a weird shaped head....but that is ok......she is living proof.....thank goodness someone thought of having a going bald and hair returning journal.

I hope you are all going to have a great day.  We still have the sun and incredible warmth.  I'm enjoying but I'm watching my shoes.  I'll be checking in later.

Spunky.....hope you have a sleeve.  I've heard so much about "sleeves" and lymphedema and as for me.....I would always err on the side of caution.  Have a sleeve and use it.  I read somewhere else.....some woman flew all the time......something like she had taken about a hundred flights...and oops, here is the lymphedema.

Guess we don't know for sure when or why....so I'd just do it.

    Hugs, Jackie

Ill Lady  I am steeling your quote.  I love it.  So very true.

Lago, Thank you yes please dance, dance.

Spunky,  Definitely dont get on a plane without a sleeve,  You can buy them on the shelf. They dont have to be custom made.

Ateam.  Its 38 here in Monee, I was able to get out for a walk and loved it.

Lisa  If Gurnee wasnt so far I would gladly go to lunch.

    Love Budder

Spunky my sleeves are not custom and fit just fine (although I had to get the long length ones).  Just be sure to go to a good place that knows how to measure properly. The first place my BS sent me too located in the same building as my treatment center was poor. The sleeves where too short, they had silicone non slip on them that I don't need since I have thin arms (and actually irritated me. The gloves fit well but the fingers were too short too.Granted my fingertips don't swell so that's not an issue but at the time they didn't know that. Most folks get a gauntlet if thier fingers don't swell. I didn't like the gauntlet so I stayed with the glove although I don't wear it all the time (LE MD knows this).

Oh my...it is an amazing feeling getting so many cards of encouragement. All I can say is thank you. I've been sick all week with an infection. Today I woke up feeling much better. You can imagine my surprise when I decided to walk down and get the mail. It felt like a big hug from you all. it also helps prepare me for the next step in my treatment.

Thanks again for giving of yourselves and supporting me!

Wow, Budders!  This is a second lease on life.....I am so happy for you.  I am sure you were a wreck there for awhile.  I certainly would be.  So happy for you.

Lisa, I work next Thursday and so cannot do lunch.  Gurnee is actually only a 20-minute trip for me....so maybe in the future.

Jackie, I am so into these Wayne Dyer tapes!  I listen to them in the car going to and fro to care for my little girls.

My DD and I have closed on  a trip to San Francisco and the Redwood Forests in May.  She and I love nature so the forest should be great. She is the single woman and she is great to travel with.  We had the best trip to New Mexico last May.  I bring this up as this is the first trip in five years I have not purchased cancellation insurance!  Knock on wood, all will be well.

Have a good evening and have fun tomorrow.  BJ, you are always on my mind.  I hope all is well with you and the people in your life.  How is that mother doing?

WendyTY, I also think of your daily.

    Susan
