Well, they were just taking on TV, about COPD being the #3 cause of death in the US. And Lori and I were chatting the other day, and realized that some of you newer gals might think that the rat ba$tard took our dear Junie. Well, she did have bc, and had a lumpectomy and chemo yrs ago, plus took meds for 5 yrs (I think). BUT a few months before she passed, she was dx with stage 4 COPD, and she was also a heavy smoker. That is what took her, although her compromised immune system may have contributed,also. I think she would want you to know that. So...any smokers out there....try your best to quit, pwetty pwease (I know its not easy though). I, along with so many here, miss her terribly!

Anyone getting fried yet???? I gotta wait awhile...but will def try to get fried at Pau Hana time!

We have at least 15 inches of snow...the main streets are okay....I have an old Suburban....big Bertha as I call her, so getting around isn't a problem for me...its the other drivers that bother me!!!  I took DD to the park that has a sledding hill...she sledded for 2 hours...I was just the transportation.....then I had to go back out and take Shabbat lunch over to a friend whose son had a concussion 2 weeks ago and get Miriam's glasses....fortunately the breaks coincided well with my cooking....now I have a lot to clean up....DH cleaned the floors, but the dogs just make a big mess with wet paws even if we dry them.....Mischa loves the snow....she gives you her paws to dry them....Sunday I'm going to take DD to the same park to sled and take Mischa.....

No body in my house said anything to me about the date....I have mixed feelings about it...do I say anything or just leave it be.....

My gf is supposed to come for dinner tonight.....need to check email and see if she cancelled due to weather or not, but my guess is she is still coming...she has a small 4 x 4 car so she can get here without a problem....I think things will ice up tonight as it gets colder......Well....I just checked emails and she is staying home due to the weather....smart choice, but I'll miss her company.....its still snowing!!!

Well...I best get back to cleaning up the kitchen and finishing up for Shabbat dinner....have about 1 1/2 hours till candle lighting.......See everyone tomorrow night....

I am still not feeling great. I was planning on going to bed at 8pm as I just did not have any spunk, or desire to dwink. But I know if I went to bed dat early, I would be up at 3aye em. I felt pretty good all day and did fine at work but as was the case each day since twos-dey, I start feeling especially bad, my temp goes up to only as high as 99.8. I have de sore- froat (another Jessicaism, meaning a word my DD used when she was widdle), stuffy-sneezy, dopey (duh), head smacked feelwings, a bit of a cough and congestions and ie suchness, ya know?

NM is woyking. So mese ask yose opinion. I have a full supply of arythimycin (sp?). I was tinking about jest starting dem so dat I could like uh kick dis ting in de ass. Do yose tink dat good? Dont wannt bodder de doctor. Mese had de same symptons before which is why I have dese here dwugs. So me tinks dat I should just pway doctor. Stella said go for it Dopey, mese, not so shore. I would like to know de majority vote, yay or nay. And I will know who does not weed my post if mese dont hear ya. hahaha, gotach, ha..

If so, thats like an antibiotic, and its used for bacterial infection, but not for viral infection like the cold or the flu. Also says to take exactly as prescribed, no more, no less. SO as for me, I would prolly vote "NO". And I will prolly be in the minority, but I like to be safer than sorrier.  Esp since you don't know for sure what you have. Do you have a "nurse line" for your insurance, that you could call tonight? Would you be able to go to a clinic tomorrow if you don't want to bother your dr? I want you WELL, but I worry about taking the wrong thing. Then if it doesn't work and you DO need antib's, you have to start something different and take the whole course of the drug. Of course, you could always see Dr. J.D. and dwink it away....likker is quickker, right? Poor dear, I wish you were all better. Take a warm bath, and maybe some pain reliever, or aspirin, or something, and twy to get lots of sleep, okay????  (((Hugs))).

Verrrry good advice, Nurse Chrissy....I like your idea of the hot lemon/honey drink....sounds soothing and hope Dorkie can do that and feel better. Dofey, in case you are too tired and weak to google it, the drug Chrissy mentioned, is acetaminophen, or Tylenol, as we call it in the US. (I hope thats right Chrissy!). If not, puleez correct me!!!
