Need an opinion. I'm supposed to get tatts on Tuesday. I'm considering postponing. I have some small rippling in lefty. Left is also a little bit lower although I can live with that. It's also bit more under my arm than righty and I think this might be why it ripples a little. Is a little rippling normal? I'm considering have another PS take a look to get their opinion.

    Anyone else experience this?

Get more opinions.  There's no hurry!  Make sure your foobs are just what you want before you seal the deal with tattoos.  I'm thinking if you go ahead and get them then need revision they could possibly be displaced?  I don't know!  I do know I'm tired of all the decision making this disease entails.  (c:  Hugs to you.

Adey the nipples are there so if they get displaced that would be a big issue. The real issue is once the tattoos are done I believe so is support from insurance unless something major happens.

Happy Saturday to all....I know it has been a while since my last posting. Looks like everyone is doing well and txs are moving along in the right direction for those in treatments. Good to see that you all have been having lots of lunch outings and chatter. How fun !!! Welcome to all the new girls here. Well life for me has been one big roller coaster ride. I am finally starting to feel human again as I was down and out with a lung infection and just finished up on antibiotics again. I guess I will have to get that darn flu shot next year. lol Been busy getting my mil house up for sale and moving her into a temp housing with no stairs. That is very exhausting with 80 yrs of stuff to pack up. lol. Zap lots of treasures here. lol Had to stop running training as I was sick...but hope to resume it next week if feeling better.

School has been very emotional lately as we had a few scares with various medical issues in my building. Trying to upbeat, professional and helpful is very exhausting. Some days I just want to stay in bed and hide from the world. But I know it will get better in time. I just want it now.

Zap....thinking of you and baby and praying that she will be ok. Glad to see that you have travel plans coming up. Enjoy your trip.

Laura...Hoping all is well and getting better for you. Hugs to you. Remember to be happy

Wendy..sun is out so where is the beach chairs, we need summer now!!

Rita...enjoy that Florida sun... I am coming in March...

Jackie...loved your quotes these past few weeks as it has been my saving grace. Love ya !! Hope dh eye is getting better. Glad to see good test results.

Lago...power walking is so good. Looking forward to the Feb dinner. yum!! I will be downtown all weekend for fun. This is a nice way to start..

Adey...morning and how are you doing

Lisa,Spunky,Onward...hope you all are feeling better.

Wendyty... thinking of you often and praying for good health. Hugs to you.

Marina....how are you doing? hope all is well with your txs.

To all the others I missed hope you all are doing well.

Just a quick note to say hi...off to start packing my mils house up.aarrggg  Oh I so need my spring break vacation now..

That is exactly what my PS said too.  "tell me when".  When my husband suggested that I stop, or start approaching a cartoon character like shape, I said "when".

I am 5'4" and have a small waist, but wide hips. I have 550cc silicone high profile implants and now wear a 32 or 34D.  I was wearing a 32B/34B before.

Zap--continuing to keep the baby and your DD in my thoughts.

I told me PS I thought I looked good after the 4th expansion… he said I needed a few more. Ended up 6 more! I'm 5'6" was wearing a 34B flat (not a full bra). Now wear mostly a 34D but I might be able to wear a 36C. I have 397cc mid profile Allgeren naterelle style 15 and I swear I look bigger than Corinne.

So good to hear from you BJ.  Sorry you had to give up your training.  I know you really wanted to do that and it would have been so therepeutic what with all the stress you face at school. The school nurse is more important that the administration...I swear.  Kids, parents, staff (administrators as well) need a good school nurse for physical as well as psychological needs.

My dd is preparing for the birth of this long awaited child!  I am so proud of her as she puts one foot in front of the other and has remained so positive.  I am feeling positive as well.

I got a treadmill.  Man, am I out of shape.  Can only do one mile now.  I know that is pathetic.  I want to prepare for some hiking in the Redwood Forest (every time I say it, I thinking of the Peter,Paul and Mary song "This land is your land, this land is my land." We are heading over to Half Price Books for my Frommers.

    Yes, I miss Marina too.

Have a great Super Bowl Sunday!

Zap, you will get there.  Today its a mile.  In less than a month it will be two.  I went from never running a city block to being able to run/walk a 5K without any pain the next day in two months.  You can do it.

Hi everyone! BJ - Hope you are feeling better now.  Zap - sending positive thoughts and prayers for you grandbaby!  Lago, agree about getting another opinion before doing the tatts.  I had a really rough day yesterday -- really fatigued, and was unable to do very much of anything. DH took kids to all activities.  Kids understood, but were disappointed that I couldn't come. Thanks to mdg for a supportive phone call!  I got up and made pancakes for breakfast this morning (a big accomplishment, considering how I was feeling yesterday), then DH took 2 kids to swimming this morning (watching Winnie the Pooh with the youngest now).  I am going to try to go to my son's hockey game this afternoon.  I hate feeling this way, and I miss my hair. Thank you so much to each of you for this wonderfully supportive board.  Thinking of all of you.  Lisa

Lisa all I can say is this isn't forever. I know how hard it is to believe you will feel like yourself again and your hair does come back. It seems like such a long journey but the old you will be back (with a few changes).

I'm thinking about moving forward with the tats. Seems others also have some minor rippling and it is to be expected in some of us thinner gals. I will bring it to my PS attention on Tuesday to see what he says. but the more I think about it the more I really want to be done with this. I'm not up for recovery from fat transfer general anesthesia and/or revision. This all started in May/June 2010. We are coming up on 2 years. Enough is enough already.

I just posted your photo on photobucket.com  Not sure if you know how to upload a photo there but if you can then this is what you do. under the picture there should be something that says: "Direct link" In the field next to that double click on it to copy the code.

Now you're ready to post on bc.org. Click on the little tree on top of the area you type in for a new post. In the 2 fields post the link. It should automatically put the sizing in. You can reduce that if you want. If the photo seems large I just divide those numbers by 2.

    Hope that helps.

    vegas gyne oncologist request

Hi Zap, I was doing a search, someone from the ovca cancer group needs recommendations for a good gyne oncologist from the las vegas area, could you ask your friends their thoughts and does anyone else know of any information as such?

Morning! Still gonna be in the 40's today so I am happy. Bit cooler this week with perhaps some flurries or light accumulation...nothing too bad.

Lisa/Lemon...like Lago says this is not forever. Please don't beat yourself up over what you can't do. You are doing what you have to do. It really does need to be about you now. With kids I'm sure it's hard because they don't fully understand. I am so sorry about your hair. Yes it will grow back but doesn't help too much when you look in the mirror. It really does come back tho! Hugs!

    Zap....the girls are sooooo cute!

    Have a great Monday!

Just stopping by to say good morning.  I also want to ask Lemodrop , if you find out any more info on tattoos please share.  I have considered it for years.  I must say.. I have had 3 more surgery's since the mascetomy,  There is no way it would still be centered in the middle.

    Hi ladies!!!!

A long overdue drop by! I think all the sunshine and warm weather has my brain detained to do my tasks at hand!!!!

Have a good friend who was my main support when i had BC in Illinois has now the diagnosis. It is so hard to hear this and moreso as I am not there physically. She has her first appt today with a surgeon. It appears to be a early stage, in-situ and not on the ductal wall yet as it is a cluster and grade not given? I just go back to the time of diagnosis and will never forget that feeling and shock.

Hi Buddy!  Nice to see you as we came in at about the same time!!! I know that the nipple recon was done for me almost a year later.. the tattoo part. Done locally by the PS- aide and did it in a couple of hours max and was very non invasive, easy and no complaints! The discoloration, healing and such, took less than a month and folllow up was then complete! It is a good thing to do as I almost did not do it at all !I know you have been thru alot but this may be a good finsihing touch to consider.

All my good thoughts are always with this group and always have you each of you in my heart. What a gift this site is and that it is still goin strong and helping so many day by day.Together we can fight anything!!!!Love ALL you Warriors!!!!

    hugs,

Good morning -- I think.  It is so foggy out right now I'm not sure....but I think it's good.  Lemon....hang in there.  There is a lot of direct un-pleasantness to this disease.....but as Wendy said....hang on.  It is not a ride to enjoy, but necessary to help your medical team, help you.  It will all pass -- no matter how awful or debilitating some of it feels.  It does go away and you emerge from the cocoon.....and life can then take on a pretty poignant feeling and meaning to you.  These are episodes of life that we have to experience --- bad with good, bitter with sweet....but you will hopefully feel when you are done such great accomplishment....and be proud of yourself.  It can be rough...so just know good things are coming.  There is a reward.

Hope you are all going to have a marvelous day.

    Hugs, Jackie

editing this to say a big warm hi to Donna.....we were posting the same time.  Sounds like you are loving life where you are in  Az.  Good to see you.
