    Buddy--

Like sharing the same birthday with Lago, I share the same tattoo date.  I am also getting inked tomorrow morning at my PS's office.  I'll be sure to post a recap and information. I had nipple reconstruction done in late November.  I have a before pic from the PSs office and my plan is to show the tattoo artist this and see if he can match up approx color and size.

Corine I am sure it will be fantastic.  I had to have a lumpectomy and 2 other surgeries after my reconstruction.  If I were to have been inked the nipple woulde probably be under my arm pit now.  lol

    Hope everyone's doing well today.

Had a bone scan today, the tech said my vertebrae looked nice-I think he was just flirting.

Back to work tomorrow-not sure how I feel about that yet. I stopped in last week and they gave away my office! Might have to just work from homeWink

    Have a good evening!

The gave away your office. That's just creepy.

Hey Corrine. Good luck and Happy Birthday early.  I need to be out by 6:30am to make my  scan appointment so I need to send you good wishes early. I'm hoping to go out for a drink after my ink with a friend since DH has a late appointment. I know I should get trashed BEFORE the ink. I can just see my PS's reaction. That would be hilarious. My inking is for the afternoon.

I hope, Kelly, there is more to this story.  If they gave your office away, that stinks!  If they warned you of the giveaway, I would get mad.  If they did not warn you, I would let someone know just how much that stinks!  I am hoping you are kidding.

Working from home sounds great to me. Sounds kind of nervy about your office, though.

Nice to hear from you, Donna. Sorry about your friend. there are too many of us in this club!

Lemondrop, the others are so right. Hair comes back, and things get back to normal, though a new normal. And I am so in awe of you and others in tx who are caring for their children, and handling the house, and some of you working too. My kids were already grown and out of the house dyring my tx, and I don't know how well I would have managed if they were not.

Buddy, so glad your recent problem was resolved so well. No fun to have these scary things happen to us. I think I would do the same as you are, and listen to my bs.

    Great quotes lately, Jackie.

BJ....no more getting sick! You might have to put masks on all those little visitors to your office!

I'm in San Francisco this week, and it's gorgeous. Zap, I think you and your DD will have a wonderful adventure here. Are you going to the Muir Woods? They have some easy and beautiful trails there, and even some paved. The magnificence of mother nature is present everywhere! Don't stress about the treadmill..just build up slowly as you get used to it. the important thing is not to over due it, and hurt yourself.  Just walking up and down these hilly streets seems worse than the woods to me!

Where is Marina? Has anyone heard from her? Hoping her tx is going well, and she is too busy with kids to post.

You are all always on my mind, and especially those in tx.

    Hugs to all!

Mdg - I tried the Wallace Farrms turkey sausage in the lasagna soup that my kids love and the sausage was fantastic in the soup!! Thank you for sharing the Wallace Farm site!

Kelly - that stinks that they gave away your office. That's not right. Did I miss something, why did you get a bone scan? Is that common? Just wondering if I should ask for one.

Lago and CorinneM1 - Happy Early birthday and happy inking!!

Happy Inking Lago and happy birthday to you and Corrine!

No joke, they really gave my office away.  I work for a different dept and am really just squatting there.  They hired another person and ran out of office space... I really don't mind, just need to move 5 years of "stuff".

    Goodnight Ladies-

Happy Birthday to Lago and Corrine.  Have a really great day.  Sounds like Lago has her own birthday celebration going on with the inkiing.Wink What are you up to Corrine?

Spunky... new office space coming right up!

I am finally flying home from Seattle tomorrow, Tuesday.  My two-week nanny job is coming to an end.  I am really going to miss my daughter and granddaughter.  It has been pretty hectic keeping up with all their acitivities.  I am also going to miss the great organic grocery just three blocks away.  It is pricey, but most all the fresh produce is locally grown right around here.  Thanks to such a mild climate.  The daffodils are blooming already.  DH and I enjoyed doing yard work today which was kind of fun as we won't be able to do much of our own back home for a few months yet.

I have a 3-month follow-up with my ONC on Wednesday.  I know that I am in for at least a DEXA scan which should be interesting after 15 months on AI's.  I have stiffened up so much lately on Aromasin that I actually decided to quit taking it a few days ago.  I was at the point of having to get up and down the stairs on my butt!  Too much pain in my knees!  After just 3 days off Aromasin, It is already so much better, but I know I will need to get back on something again.  Since I had to give up on Femara and now Aromasin, I guess that means Arimadex will be up next.  ONC said I could even try Tamoxifin, but I don't think I am even willing to discuss that.  Heard some real horror stories about that stuff.  Grrrrr!  I hate AI's!

Hi everyone!  Happy Birthday to Lago and Corinne! Zap - your girls are adorable!! Hawk, Lasagna soup sounds yummy.  Spunky - hope your first day back at work goes smoothly.  Joan, have a smooth trip home -- you and your DH are wonderful grandparents. Hope to see you soon once you're back in CL.  Mdg, Smerf and all of you that have had encouraging words for me - thank you.  I am feeling better mentally after yesterday.  Many people at work did not even realize that I was wearing a wig - just thought I got my hair blown out, so I wasn't as self-conscious as I thought I would be.  Still sad, but keeping busy helps.  Sitting around all weekend was probably good for me physically, allowing me to rest, but it's better mentally for me to be engaged in work/kids stuff.  Made it till about 3:00 at work, then decided to leave before I got really tired.  Thinking I might do the same today. Hope you all have a good day - L

Happy birthday Lago and Corinne - enjoy your special day.

Lemondrop - I was so self conscious when I started wearing a wig and then realized that everyone around me did not know any better and though it was a new cut. It was harder to transition from wig to no wig since it took so long for the hair to grow out. So hang in a there.

Tell me your Tamoxifen stories, please.  I've heard nothing but horror stories and would like to hear from anyone here who has experience with it.

    Thanks-Kelly.

lisaak...it wll be nervewrcking up to the point until the Dr starts talking and you being proactive with it all , will make it less nervewracking! What worked for me and always has, taking ownership of my disease and to be ready each time I met with a Dr in this journey!!!Though I have to say, I was blindsighted when I met with my onocol. and she told me I would need chemo!!I thought I had done enough having a bil mx and to then need chemo.. blew me away.THEN. it got over the shock and said this is it and took each step fighting a bit everytime. You will be ok and being here will help alot!!!

Love all your posts as always Jackie!!!!So okay and always appreciated your support and kindness!!!Hope the furkids are all well too!!!Hi smerf!!!Thanks for the kind words regarding my friend.. it is interesting how you feel when you share it from this side of the disease!!!!

lago.. did i miss your BDAY???I see you enough on FB and hope I did not .. is this chemo brain or just plain stupid?!!!!!lol.. I am sending you wishes alll the time though as you are my sister of the heart!!! AND Corinne..happy bday and even though you do not know me, I come in with good credentials...lol!!!!I use to live in ILL and stop in to keep everything goin in here and cause some havoc if I can.

spunkyboobs ..(love that name),. i was triple negative and such a good question you have!!!Wish I could help!

Joan.. good luck on DEXA test!! I have signs of osteopenia and alot changed for me after chemo. Getting better now in abosorbion with everything and excercising reguallly will help me too for bone loss etc.

Be well and enjoy the day.!!!sunshine here.. again. Oh what I have to endure!!!!lolol

Morning all. Joan I am getting inked today too. In ps office now waiting for the artist to set up. Spunky, I have been on it since the fall. Only issues I have had are irregular periods. Had a long spotty one, a super short heavy one, skipped, and mother nature decided to bring me a gift today.

Other than that nothing. No weight gain, no joint pain, no flashes, etc.

    Running late here but...

Zap!  - Your grandbabies are adorable!

Mak - Congrats to DD.  Good to hear you're doing well.

Spunky - I had ZERO side-effects when I was on Tamoxifen.  I'm actually thinking about asking my onc if there are any benefits (or a downside) to me going it again, now that I've finished AI's.

Happy B-Day Lago and Corrinne!  Here's a tatt cake to make the occasion. :)
