Lol Lago!!! Omg, we killed Kenny!!!

My neulasta was supposedly 5 grand EACH....seems outrageous. I paid 55 out of pocket for each but now with our new crappy insurance change it would have cost me 55 bucks plus 20%.... I'm very unhappy with my DH's works new insurance.... Last year would have cost me out of pocket over 30 grand....yep, there's no ceiling on our out of pocket, Unreal!!!!!! My exchange surgery would have cost me 55.00 total and now will cost me 55 + 375 (new surgery co pay) + 20% of agreed upon amount between hospital and insurance.... Probably another couple thousand. :(

Jumping off my soap box now....

Lago- haha i love suzie and dr cook so much, but i think for my peace of mind i gotta go with the team at evanston. Witt just scares me too much. I wish i could put dr cook in my pocket and take him with me lol.

Katie you need to feel comfortable with your team. Dr. Witt scary OMG what did he say to you. I never felt that way about him at all. He is more aggressive with his surgical views but that was OK by me. Being HER2+ and having such a larger tumor, small boob and in the posterior region I needed someone like him IMO. both your team and mine have excellent reputations. You can't go wrong.

Lago - Dr witt is absolutely wonderful... His surgical approach scares me. With this other team i will have smaller almost hidden scars, and with witt that wont be the case. I do really like him which is in part why this has been such a difficult choice. Which is the posterior region?

Posterior region is close to the chest wall. I wasn't as concerned with scars because in time the do fade and I seem to heal pretty well.

    Hi Gals,

We're enjoying the milder temps in Florida and having a delightful time.  It sounds like winter has truly hit good ol' Illinois this week,  Brrr.........It's supposed to be 62 degrees here tomorrow, which is cooler than it has been.  Still, that's so much better than what you're experiencing.  I do miss my "honey" and my cats, though.

I did find a temporary pain reliever for my poor Arimidex affected joints at the Flea Market here in Fort Myers.  My pain disappeared within minutes after applying it and stayed gone for nearly 4 hours.  It's made from natural oils and herbs and I think it's quickly becoming my best friend.

Susan, I have now read the first two books in the Hunger Games.  I need to get out and pick up the third book.  Wow!   So glad to hear that your daughter and baby are doing well.

ILBoysMom...I am not a team captain but I WILL be in Peoria for the walk!

Welcome to Jenelle and Chicago.  The ladies on this thread are awesome and they'll help you through this journey!

Sending good vibes to all you gals in treatment or recovering from surgeries or reconstruction!

    Rita

Rita, third book is Mockingbird.  I have spoken with  other  readers and have heard some very definite opinions on this last book in the trilogy.  I do not want to say anything until you read it.  I think Onward is reading the trilogy.  The movie is coming out.  I wish we lived closer so we could see the movie together.

Had a great dinner party with very old friends tonight. So much fun to enjoy a meal with old friends.  Tomorrow we have the daughters  here with the little ones to celebrate Lila Grace's b-day and Valentine's Day.  I so love being a grandmother.  Baby Zap is coming soon. . I just know she will be perfectly fine!

Hey, my girlfriend from school is okay.  Her doctor (my doctor) thinks that there is a 95% chance her thingy  is benign. We will know on Wednesday.  Meanwhile I sub for her in her class.  I am so grateful that she is okay and I can move on into my retirement and she can move back with ease into health and her classroom.

I signed up for Words with Friends but I do not get it yet.  Give me time.  I will be fun to play with once I get how to do it.  Susan

    Brrrrr

Kater I've always been on the generic (Anastrzole). Once my deductible is paid then I believe my copay is under $9. If I use their mail order it's $18 for 3 months. The way our deductible works is it includes all doctor, medical procedures etc and prescription meds. I will only consider their mail order if they are using the Teva brand (from Israel). I believe the other brand is made in India. Walgreens sells the Teva brand.

    Keep warm ladies.

Be of good cheer. Do not think of today's failures, but of the success that may come tomorrow. You have set yourselves a difficult task, but you will succeed if you persevere; and you will find joy in overcoming obstacles. Remember, no effort that we make to attain something beautiful is ever lost.

Katie, whatever and whoever you choose is the one you need. Like Lago, I had Dr. Witt, loved him and his team, but that's why we have choices. Sending warm hugs. Onward

The only moral lesson which is suited for a child, the most important lesson for every time of life, is this: Never hurt anybody.

Good morning.....as we wait for the approximate 4 ins. of snow it is said we will get today....starting late and only building up good after dark.  Not sure how they can narrow that down that much....hmmm, guessing again I think.

Onward...I think you have it right....there is a feel right moment about many of these important things  -- not to say it may be strong enough to knock you over....but something inside usually resonates.  I hope you find a great Dr. Kate.  He or she is out there.

Hope you all have a good day.

    Hugs, Jackie

NEWS!  Violet (aka Baby Zap) was born at 4:30 am.  She is in the ICU (as was the plan) for observation but nursed for the first time a few minutes ago.  Cardiac doctor will monitor it, but heart beat has stabilized somewhat and things at least appear normal.

Thanks for all your prayers and/or thoughts and don't quit  quite yet.  I am feeling so very positive that her heart rate will stabilize on its own but we love those prayers and/or thoughts.
