Oh...n I jes love the alarm advice. I hab trouble getting things done. I think I should maybe try that, cept I kno, once I get going (it's the get going that's slow) I don't wanna stop til it's done. Sooo I spend allele day cleaning or allll day at computer. I need to learn to do a little everyday. I'm gonna sleep on that alarm thingy tanite. I will pray that you find an asthma management program and I have complete FAITH that'll you'll ACE that certification exam...mese lubs ewes! One last thing...Stella said ‘Neigh Neigh' on dos shoes!
Juliet - I drink da wine virtually, but even tho I like some wines, they don't like me. You are an angel too ya kno, working in a PCU....no wonder ya have a gin/tonic...I'll join ya, only mine will be vodka/tonic. Can't get the gin past my nose...LOL.
Alli - jes got thru watchin da news...sooo sad whats happening. I jes sit and cry...am glad you are OK tho...but I still feel like I want to help somehow. Hmmm. If you want, PM me and tell me what vits and supps you're on and I'll compare. Mayb we can outsmart our Onco team..eh?
Here's a funny mese thot meses wud share...it's fitting mese tinks. Den mese has ta go out n bring da Stella in...she is wearing dos furbabies out. Dey habing sooo muchly fun.
Subject: Dr. BumbutuA flat-chested young lady read an article in a magazine that stated Dr. Bumbutu in Africa could enlarge your breast without surgery. So she decided to go to Dr. Bumbutu to see if he could help her. Dr. Bumbutu advised her, 'Every day after your shower, rub your chest and say, 'Scooby doobie doobies, I want bigger boobies!'
She did this faithfully for several months, and to her utter amazement she grew a terrific D-cup rack!
One morning she was running late, got on the bus, and in a panic realized she had forgotten her morning ritual. Frightened she might lose her lovely boobs if she didn't recite the little rhyme, she stood right there in the middle aisle of the bus closed her eyes and said , 'Scooby doobie doobies, I want bigger boobies.'
A guy sitting nearby looked at her and asked, 'Are you a patient of Dr Bumbutu's?'
'Why yes I am, how did you know?'
He winked and whispered ..... 'Hickory Dickory Dock ...'Lub all mese Breasties....wese'll check n tamary...nitey nitey...MUAH!

So I see him in two weeks and hope to get a date. De good news is I get to meet Scuby again in two weeks, yippeeed. we had a berry nice time dwinking and eating and talking bout tings.
I have to get to bed, it is late and I was up late last night. I was in de office til 7pee em den woyked from her starting at 8pee em til now. NM....thanks for the advice....interesting as I'm a school psych and having done private psych practice in a prior life and do behavior recommendations.....so I know it all intellectually, but emotionally its another thing......
I don't walk both dogs alone....the only time both dogs go together is if DH or DD comes with me...otherwise its only one dog...
Gorgeous day again in Denver again today, but of course the school I'm at on Mondays, no windows anywhere near my office....so I was in doors and didn't see teh outside from 7:30 this morning till almost 4:30...but DH and I walked the dogs tonight.....
(((((((((((((((((((Beans))))))))))))))))))))
DorK.....my PS had to fix my pocket twice....but I only had 4 surgeries....mastectomy, exchange a year later, then 4 months later fix and year later another fix.....Your PS is right....you need to heal, but I so hear you in wanting to look how you want to look.....sure hope this next one is the LAST one......And boy are you one busy girl!!! maybe we need to send Stella back to you to take care of you...cook, clean, grocery shop...that would keep her out of trouble...
Scuby...is it you who had lunch with DorK today....can't wait to see the pics
Allison....glad that your toe is better
Mena....great joke!!!!
Just finished my 2nd glass of wine....finished the Australian bottle of wine I opened yesterday....now deciding if its time to open a new bottle!!!
Kathy, Chrissy, Tied and all the other loungettes....hope everyone is doing well....sweet dreams and have a great Tuesday....

Poor AdorKable, sorry you have to wait longer for the surgery. But I am funcused...how does the pocket stretch??? And Karen, you had to have the pocket fixed twice? DId either of your PS's use alloderm? I remember worrying about it moving around, and my PS said they would stay where they are. I remember not being allowed to raise my arms for a long time, etc., but I never had a cami or anything to wear to support my foobs after surgery. I guess I do worry about if they leak, as how would we know?
So glad Scoobs and Dorkie had a wunnerful time!! And that Stella is habbing a G8 time with de Mema! Karen, you are so busy, and I am impressed that you walk the dogs so often. We rarely do that, yet have a beautiful area to walk them in. Just lazy! But they do run in the yard a lot. Maverick was having hip problems and it was $$$ for the vet to give him a shot and then those $98/mo pills. So we bought the dog type of Glucosamine at Walmart for $15, which lasts a month. It seems to really have worked....do not see him have trouble getting up anymore, and the other day I was shocked at how fast he ran from clear across the yard when he noticed I was on the deck with Molly. Like he was a puppy and they are both around 10 yrs old.
Cheers Dears! I am dead tired from lack of sleep, so will do a Dorkster and turn in early! Lubs to all.
Kathy

Kathy....busy...me...not really...walking the dogs is my only exercise....and I really should do more!! I have gained sooo much weight....i think I had asked my PS about alloderm, but he didn't like it, but I don';t remember why....he sewed the pocket to the ribs...would have to go back to my notes to give a better description...but the last fix was july 2008 and things are more or less status quo....I haven't seen my PS since 2009....just haven't gone....figure when the implants are 5 - 8 years old, I should have them checked out....but otherwise why bother....you say you are going to bed early....its midnight by you!!!! Heck...I've been going to bed early and thats after the news so 10:30 or 11.....I sleep more than I have for years.....and I'm more tired!!!! Crazy weather in Denver the next couple days....70 tomorrow and then 30's on Wednesday and Thursday....Sweet dreams!!!

Dork/Scooby-How totally cool that you girls got to have lunch! I would love to meet each and everyone of you!! You've all become such a daily part of my life.
It's funny cause I talk to my boyfriend and I'm saying stuff like "well Mrs. V said this about scars, or NM said I was right about a new PS" and he's looking at me like....."WHO??" lol
Mema-Oh Yeah!! I'm so glad your Bella Baby is feeling better!! Glad it was just full glands and nothing more serious-although glands can become infected so just keep an eye on her. Will definitely PM ya about the supplements, thanks. Good luck with Stella!!
NM-I love your persistence and tenacity!! Good for you on continuing the search for the kind of program you need. I'm praying you find what you're looking for most quickly.
Unde-Just thinking bout all the packing and moving you're doing makes me sleepy, lol. Please remember to take care of you too-rest when you should.
Dork-You poor, sweet, thing---you've really been through all the hoops. I pray for you each night, and pray now that you heal quickly before and after this next surgery. I know you been working your tail off and doing so good at the office, but you need to rest too.....so you can heal enough for the surgery! Take care of you Dorthy! Prayers and hugs headed your way

Beans-I'm so sorry that you're a lil down and in a funk, here's a great big hug for you!! Coming here has ALWAYS fixed my funky moods, so pop in and post when ya can, we love ya and we're here to help ya up when you're a little down.
Bernie-as always.....love your posts/jokes!! Always make me smile.
Yikes, I'm getting sleepy!! That hasn't happened in a while. Love all you girls, will check in with you all tomorrow.

GOLDIE-That's correct,i'm moving out and he's moving in. I didn't want to sell the place so we worked it out. WAHINE-i'm selling all my old stuff,I always get new things when I move. My old place and new place will be empty. The fun part will be shopping for new items! TIDES-I'm like the energizer bunny,I never get worn out. But I will take a wine break, lol. DORK-Sorry for the not so great news. At least your doc seems to know how to take care of you. Just be a bit patient. I'm really trying to be patient w/all of this. But waiting makes me nuts. Hello to all the other goils, cheers!

This is why I didn't show up for work yesterday. I was cleaning out my wife's grandpa's cellar and found 12 bottles of his home-bottled grape wine under the steps. My wife told me to empty the contents of each and every bottle down the sink, or else. I agreed to do the unpleasant task.
I withdrew the cork form the first bottle and poured the contents down the sink, with the exception of one glass, which I drank. I extracted the cork from the second bottle, did likewise, and drank one glass, just to check the taste to see if the old fellow knew his wine making. He did.
I then opened the third bottle, and poured it, too, down the sink, but not until drinking one full glass to check the purity. It was very good. I did this, also with the fourth bottle. One glass for myself, and the rest down the sink. I pulled the bottle from the cork of the next, and drank one sink out of it and threw the rest down the glass. I pulled the sink out of the next glass and poured the cork from the bottle, then corked the sink with the glass, bottled the drink and drank the pour.
When I had everything emptied, I steadied the house with one hand, counted the bottles, corks, glasses and sinks with the other, which were 29, and as the house came by I counted them again, and finally had all the houses in one bottle, which I drank. I felt so foolish that I couldn't go upstairs and congratulate my wife to tell her what a great winemaker her grandpa was. I will do that after climbing the basement steps the next time they come by.0 -
Good morning, Loungettes! Sun is shining, crystals throwing rainbows, and I have to go out and get a copy of my birth certificate today so I can renew my driver's license, so I can sign in to take my certification exam tomorrow. Ah, the joys of aging.

Mema-Yeah, I know the housework will always be there, it just starts bothering me after a while. Part of the charm of the alarm system is that once I get started on something I usually want to finish it-finish sweeping the floor, or emptying the dishwasher, or sorting papers, or whatever I started doing. Sometimes that's all I need to get me going, but when I need to remember to take breaks I do try to stop when the alarm rings. I find it helps if I mentally break up the work to be done into little things (empy dishwasher, clean off stand beside recliner, put away a basket of clothes) and alternate rooms that I work in that I get more done. The system really helps me bypass the perfectionism trait I have. And thanks for the faith on the test, I've taken it before, many years ago, but I've been doing and teaching the work all along and the principles haven't changed, just the names of the meds to protect the innocent, oops, wrong show!
ADorKable-Oh, dear, having to hear the "w" word is soooo hard, and NOT FAIR!!!!!!!!! Was your PS able to tell you why/how the pocket stretched? And what does he do to correct that situation? At least you got to meet Scuby and maybe get another meeting with her. I still think about our meeting last summer, it was soooo much fun!

Karen-I actually got that trick from a site called Flylady.net. It's a different and workable approach to managing housework long term by building good habits one at a time. I'm not perfect but I'm a lot better about housework now!

Wahine-you've got the same questions about foob pockets stretching that I do. Alloderm has been used a lot and now there are lots of problems with it popping up when it's been used to help repair hernias and keep bladders suspended, not sure how it's performing with breast reconstruction. So much to worry about! Older dogs acting like puppies are fun to watch, aren't they?

Tidy-We do end up speaking a whole new language, don't we? Thanks for the prayers for the asthma management plan, I'm currently researching pulmonologists in the area to find one who works with adults as much as with children, and thinking about going out of state again for a complete, up to date work up, but that will be later when the weather is better. And probably I'm going a bit overboard right now. In the meantime, I'm collecting personal data that will help me once I learn to interpret it all.

Undy-what's your secret for all that energy???? Please share? Please?

Juliet-good morning to you to!

Bernie-LOL-and reminds me that I have some wines that will be a year old and ready for first tasting this spring!

Princess Glitter Sizzle's DOTD is the Energizer Bunny
2 oz Vodka
1 oz Blue Curacao
1 oz Peach Schnapps
1/2 oz Lemon Juice
1/2 oz 7 Up
2 oz Sweet and Sour Mix
1/2 oz Pear CiderDirections
Pour all ingredients into a highball glass 3/4 filled with ice cubes. Stir well, and serve.0 -
Dats a goot Beans for checking in. I am glad you are still hanging around and reading and popping in on occasion. Of course we are all praying for you. And YES, what Mema Sue said, let us lift you up. I like that Mema.
Thank you Mama Sue, for letting us know Stella arrived. You girls have fun and Stella, you behave! Glad that Bella got her bum bixed. Loved ur yoke, but mostly cuz it sayed Scuby doobie doobie!
My dearest, shortest Dorkiest....I'm sorry you have to wait for more surgery. Dayem, who would ever think that we would be wanting MORE surgery, eh? I kind of figured that would be what would happen. I just wish it were without so much pain. But.....you will get to hook up with Lisa again, I guess that is the only good thing about it.
Karen, we are getting crazy weather too, well temps.......no weather to speak of, other than WIND advisories.
Kathy, so glad that Mav is not in any pain, or at least not that you can tail....ha ha, pun intended. Hoping you have a good day today.
Tied, so glad you were able to help out lil Miss Bella. Indeed, we are a great group and that is funny about your trying to tell stories about us to your BF. Especially with some of the names we have! Besides the ones you mentioned.......Beans, Scuby, DorK, Wawa, Undy. Too funny.
Unde, congrats on the new home. Are you excited about moving? I forget if you have children, so I can't ask if they are! I thought I remembered you mentioning boys?
Cute joke Bernie.
Wowsa, I is shocked...........not even a full page to catch up on dis ayem. Which, sometimes, is a GOOT thang. Well I tale ya, my allergies this year have been very very strange, but I won't complain. As they sort of come and go. I like when they "go". Yesterday was terrible, wif the sneezing. So finally took a 24 hour pill last night. Almost every customer that called, asked if I were sick. Thank goodness I didn't have any sneeze attacks while on the phone with anyone. Might hab to get my turkey baster out! But biz is def. picking up. Can't think of a DOTD for this fine 2sday. How about we all pick 2 drinks? Mine are Duck Farts for this morning and perhaps some rum and cokes later this afternoon.
Oh goodie, NM to the rescue with DOTD and a fine one at that. I'll take 2 of those too. Sounds pretty yummy.

Karen, I have the alloderm, and have not had any problems...had bmx/recon in May 08 and exch surg in Sept 08. My PS had has good luck with it, but like all things, who knows if they will discover a prob with it in the future? NM mentioned they are finding probs w/ using it in other surgeries, so I hope it still is ok for recon.
Unde, Glad you have all that energy! Wow! I had TONS of energy when I was taking big dose of B12, but my blood work showed I had over 3x the recommended levels. So dr cut my dose down, and I DID notice a difference. And now, for a month I have had to cut it out completely.....this dr that did endoscope and found the ulcers wanted me to cut out all supplements till healed. OH I miss my energy in a pill!!!
Woke up shaking, and thinkng of the evil beyotch sister...gotta have a talk with my 95 yo dad today....dreading it. But even my bro wants me kept as executor, cuz he knows I will be fair and honest, but now that evil sister is taking over my parents Hawaii home, I think it will just be a matter of time till she tries to get everything put in her name. My dad used to be wary of her, and knew she had ulterior motives, but now that she has been phony-sweet to him, I think he may think she has changed. Her vileness to me lately has been making me sick. I just do not want to see my parents hurt, or put away into a home, so that she can get her hands on everything. She has never done anything for them, while we always try to do a lot for them, so I hope he will listen to me. My DH always tells me he wants to care for them, too. SO puleez say some prayers this morning that my talk will go well. I need all the positive vibes and prayers I can get! We are going shopping for a desktop computer (he doesn't like using the laptop here), but after I park the car and try to talk to him, we both might be too upset to shop! Wish me luck.
Thanks girlz,I really do appreciate your thoughts and prayers...this is making me sick.
Hugs,
Kathasickie

DorKa - mese is soo sawree ewes is a widdle tramatized. You've been through sooo much, I can only imagine how this is REALLY affecting you. Stella was a bit defiant last nite when I sed lights out. She's habbin soo much fun with da Bella and Bax. She is looking forward to halping mese give da Bax a bath taday but at same time veddy worried about ewes. Mese tried to keep her from reading da posts, but mese caught her up bout midnite on da ‘puter. Dis morning she is better, full of her ‘bad' self and looking forward to going out to da casino later. Shes in da spare room counting her coins...too funny. Mese will make sure not to keep her out too late, soes she will hab da energy to fly all da way home tamary. Wanted me to send you GREAT BIG HUGZ...(((((Dorka))))) and a GREAT BIG...MUAH!! OH...I forgot to tell ya all, my widdle Bella gained 2 pounds in 4 weeks. She's now a hefty 5lbs.
Wawa - My Haley-baby, a rotti, was born with dysphasia(sp) in both hips. We were about ready to put her down when she was about 2 yoa, couldn't stand to her her cry when she tried to get up. Then friend told us about Wal-Marts glucosamine/chondroitin for people...We started her on high dose for about 6 weeks, then cut back to 1 a day then 1 every other day and it was a miracle. We adopted a male shepard and they ran like crazy. This is when we lived on 5 acres in MT. It has worked wonders for all my friends and relatives for their fur babies since. Glad it's helping Maverick too.
Tied - The Vet said to use the anit-biotic ointment they had given me last month for Baxter's paw. The vet said, jes hold her upside down and ‘apply to her bumb like you're icing a cupcake'...lol. Oh and then watch for about 10 mins make sure she doesn't lick it all off. She much better this am.
Bernie - Very funny....read to my DH, he got a good laugh too.
Beans - Hang in there...We're still here for you...MUAH!
NM - will try that alarm thingy. I really think I could use it. That DOTD sounds GR8...can't wait for Pau Hana. O don't get me started bout evil sister. Mine, RIP, was da same way. Will pray pray pray things go well with your dad today. I have horrible, stressful memories of trying to get my mom to see the light.
Goldie - I liked da Scuby doobie doobie part too...LOL. Glad biz is picking up and yeah, might do well to get the ‘ol turkey baster out. Especially if your sneezing gets worse as the blooming starts. What's a duck fart?
Well...gotta get busy...check in later...HUGZ!

Mrs V - I'm so glad you are okay too, the news of the weather and tornadoes has been so scary.
DofeyDot - Geeaaawwwd I hate the "W" word...I'm so sorry, but I'm in the same lil boat.

I just hope you are not in any of the "P" word (pain) and if deres any pain that you have a lotta likker on hand. Wine is fine, but likker is quicker.

Karen - Thanks so much for da hugs and I send ((((Karen)))) em backatcha too! I have also been struggling wif my weight again, just been nervous as 10 cats and snacking too much...then the weather has been weird, yesterday snow, rain and today it's sunny but the snow is melting so it's awful to try to jog or do anything out there.
Tiedye - Thanks for your kind woyds to me and for da hugs...I send you hugs too...I hate funky mood. Hope you are doing okay getting thru keem-ho.
Unde - That is so neet you are selling all the old stuff and getting new stuff, what a great idea. We sold so much of our old chit last summer, then we hauled a bunch of it and put it on the road with a free sign and it was gone by morning. It is fun getting new stuff, I hope you have a blast with it!
Juliet - Hello to you and hope you are having a great day!
Bernie - I loved the roses! And LOL at the empty wine bottle joke!!
NM - I'm so glad you are feeling better again, but eck to renewing driver license and taking the exam...I'm sure you will do fine, but eck, not fun. Thanks for all your great posts, I have to comment on that pair of boots from back a ways, that have the horseshoes on em...made me laff so much, thank you! Love all the dwinks and today's Energizer Bunny looks devine!
GoldiePoo - The prayers are much app..app...app...well I don't know how to spell that, so I will say thanks for da prayers. Sawwy to read about them dang ach...ach...achooooos you are having too and I hope they just go. I will join you for Duck Farts this morning and Rum and Coke later...then some beer and Energizer Bunnies!

Kathasickie - makes me sickie too to think how that biotch xs makes you sickie...I'm sure it would be so hard to talk with your dad about all this. I'm so glad you are venting about this as you can't keep it inside or it will make you sick. I will say prayers for you big time.
Bernie - YAY! Duck Farts all around!
Chrissy, Husker, and all the HTL Hottie Chicky Babes...thanks once again for all your caring and support and for draggin my lard a$$ outta the pits once again.

soooo funny, all the farty dwinks, Bernie! Dat is one of our verrrrry own Lori's fav dwinks....think usually she just has Baileys and Kahlua, is dat right Lori, or am I funcused yet again?
Oh yippee!!!! De Beansie Babe is in da lounge!!! WooHoo, wese jest lubs yer posts, you is so sweet wese hates it when you have bad chit happening. Hope your bro does ok...when is his surgery? And yes, you and Dorkster do toooooo much of that dreadful "W" word!
NM, Glad you mentioned flylady.net.....I get all their emails too, just for the day that I will start using their ideas again. I also like using the timer....will do 15 min at some task, break, then 15 min at another task....when I have done that it DOES work, but haven't done it lately. My DD and I went to Chattanooga one weekend a couple of yrs ago and met the gal that started that. She had a nice seminar, and also had all that neat stuff for sale. BUT when I don't have time for it, I just delete all those emails so I won't see them and feel badly that I am not shining the sink every morning....LOL. Very good hints and encouragement, with flylady!
Love all the pics everyone!!!
Shoot, I can't go back to the prev page...oh yeah, Mema isn't that neat how the Glucosamine works! We take it too, except I had to get off ebberyting last month till I have my next endoscopy. We get Mav the dog type of glucosamine, mainly because then we put it on his food like a treat, cuz it is chewable and apparently tastes good (to him!). Glad you are helping little Bella's Butt!
THANKS for all the thoughts and prayers....had my long talk with my dad...had written a full page of chit I wanted to make sure he knew. He did say he and my mom (although I know she forgets it all) are aware of the beyotch XS. As short as 2-3 yrs ago they would refer to her as the other one's daughter....not to her face though. Just SO glad he is aware of all her chit, but I also want him to KEEP his eyes open, as he could lose some brain function soon too....so far he is doing so well, but at 95, you never know. Told him how much we loved them and cared for both of them, and he was aware of that. WHEW! Just hope he remembers all this so he won't be blindsided by her.
OK, just got home, and already almost time to go to Pau Hana at their house! He and I had a nice lunch at our Thai place. Was so cool seeing the beaver swim by their yard the other day during Pau Hana, and the next day 2 beautiful Canada Geese floated past, looking as regal as swans. Always tons of mallards, and "coots". Two herons flew into their yard yesterday, but the baby sure has a hard time fishing! Oh, when I called home, my DH was out working in the yard and said he had stopped for a "Junie" (meaning he had an ML in her honor). Usually drinks stronger beer, but sometimes buys it just so we can have a toast to her memory. Boy what a gal she was, and how wonderfully she touched so many of us. Sure miss her.
Hugsssssssssss,
Kath

Hi Beans!! Missed you round here!! (((hugs)))
Hate the dern "W" game DorK! Hope u aren't in pain while waiting....
You girls remember me telling you about the place in Dayton, Oh, website is hormonebalance.org, Dr. Is Rebeccah Glaser, site is Millenium Wellness center? Well, got all my lab work done, and oncologist agreed, so I have an appointment on April 6th for pellet placement! Woo Hoo! Very excited, hoping it helps. If u go to the site and read about testosterone arimidex pellet placement in BC patients, you will see exactly what I'm doing. Looks very promising! And, will be happening before Easter and The Kentucky Derby! Yippee! Easter is always hard, as my mom was diagnosed with lung cancer the Friday before Easter 6 years ago, and I was diagnosed with BC the Thursday before Easter last year. Yuck! So something to look forward to finally! And will hopefully be feeling great for the Kentucky Oaks/derby, as that is BIG TIME here in Kentucky, and last year I was on the lift chair recouping from DMx!! Not this year!! Stella, please forgive me for putting you on the wrong plane. I would love to have you come back for The Kentucky Derby, K? We have so much fun! You will need a Derby hat, K? Make it fun and fancy! I have some pics on my FB page from a few years back if u want to see my perty hat, K?
BBL, Cheers! Gonna go check out the flylady website!0 -

Hi, Just have a sec, but wanted to ask Alli if your ins will cover this, and will you be able to have another placement in 3-4 months? Sounds great! The company renting our condo opened a HRT clinic here, and has so many commercials on tv, but I think their is the regular type, and not good for bc pts. The pellet method sounds much safer. I do miss my testerone....took estratest for years, but stopped cold turkey cause of my bc dx. OH and Kentucky Derby coming up....yippee!!! So sad about your Easter memories, with your mom's dx on Good Friday (bet it didn't feel like a good friday to any of you!), and yours so close too. Was your dx in April, then? Which date? Lori and I both had our dx in April.
Missing your long posts, Dork! So glad you popped in, though!
And Stella, what a lovely post you did....we all sure lubs ya and lub hearing bout your adventures!
Hello to Dulcie! I gotta go, been bizzy tonight, and wish you all a good evening!!!
Cheers!

Wahine, the cost of the visit is $335.00. That includes an hour consult and having the pellets implanted. They will give me a receipt and paperwork to file with insurance. My good friend is also an MD who does bio identical HRT, and she does pellet therapy in male patients who need it. Well, she is very interested in this, she told me about it. She is going with me to my appointment, mwants to pick her brain and ask her about being part of the study and doing it as well! Which would be great for me, as I wouldn't have to drive to Dayton every three months, and she would only charge me for the pellets, sweet! My appointment is good Friday this year, April 6th. I was diagnosed April 14th. Will celebrate one year cancer free on May 3rd, when I had DMx, how cool Oaks is May 4th! The Kentucky Oaks is the day before the Derby, all phillies race, aka the Lillie's for the phillies, as the winner gets a blanket of Lillie's. My girlfriends and I are all going to celebrate! Woo hoo!

Allison....so thrilled for you...can't wait to find out how the pellets do for you.....i"m waiting on my labs and 24 hour urine/total hormones....not sure if they'll be back before I see my onc...the doc will call me when she gets all the results....I see my onc on the 15th......My oldest DD was born on May 3rd...in 1986 that was Derby day....At the time my folks were still living in Cincinnati...don't think they ever went to KY Derby, but I think they were at a party....don't remember as its going on 26 years ago...but Mom often talked about Derby Day in relation to DD b'day.....
The weather was around 70 in Denver today...and its supposed to snow sometime tomorrow!!! crazy, crazy weather....
Wahine.....I hope your parent's other daughter doesn't screw you parents over....do they have a will? POA?...my parents just did all their parentwork....I'm the person on everything with my Mom and my DH too....Mom did not put my brother.......MY parents know that I will respect anything that they want me to do.....
Seems like a lot is going on with everyone....And Stella....I didn't do anything....Don't blame me....I didn't even know you were coming....You can't just show up!!!!! We all love you and want to host you, but you know, some of us have a life (or try to)......You need to behave!!!!! Should we ask MemaSue if you're being a good girl!!!! I get bitchy and don't have much patience!!!!
In one of those moods....so will just send hugs and sweet dreams to everyone....Chrissy, DorK, MemaSue, Allison, Beans, Goldie, Tiedy, Dulci (welcome), NM, Undie, Bernie....and all the other loungettes.....See everyone tomorrow!!!

Awesome Alli, if your friend gets to do that, and you would just pay for the pellets! And the bonus of being much closer too! Good luck with that, and yeah, I am anxious too, to hear about how it works out for you!
Karen, Yes they have a will and I am executor, but was worried they might change it, since most of their assets are in HI, and thats where the XS is living (in their place). Don't have a POA, I know they don't want life support, but hope it is written up with their dr or something. Gotta find out...my mom had that with her late DH....the term escapes my feeble mind right now. I used to do the POA's myself, when I had to purchase properties here for them without their presence. It was funny, but I did contacts and closed 3 properties for them with same attorney. They never were there. SO when they were here and we had to pick up something there, I took my mom so she could finally meet him. Glad your mom realizes you would do whats right, also! I hope my parents never forget that.
Night night Liz da Ho, NIght night John boy da mole, night night all you sweet loungettes!

Good morning, Loungettes! Spent a good part of yesterday running around getting a copy of my birth certificate, renewing my drivers license so I have appropriate ID to take my certification exam this afternoon. Going to treat myself to dinner at IHoP after, love that place and don't often go down that way. Took myself out for lunch yesterday, had sausage gravy on biscuits and still managed to lose a pound this morning! Yeah for prednisone being over and done and FINALLY getting out of my system!

Beanie-Yeah, the new driver's license picture is pretty awful, but it does show that I've lost some weight, so that's a plus, right? One of those things one must live with!
Wahine-isn't FlyLady great? I love the "you're not behind, jump in where you are" attitude. Helps me keep starting over and over. BUT, I have developed some good habits, and I know I can develop more. Baby steps, baby steps! Glad you had a good talk with your Dad, those kind of talks are never easy but are very important. Not much you can do beyond what you have done, and keep in touch.

Stella-you are such a social butterfly! Love the shoes, girly!

Mrs. Vino-Hooray for you! Here's to you having a great time at the Derby this year! Can't wait to see the hat pcs!

DorKable-You muyst have had a a GREAT day at work after one of each of the Duck Farts! What a list that is! Gonna have to go to the likker store sometime soon and get the makings.
Karen-weather's going crazy here, too. Snow and sleet last weekend, in the 50's tomorrow. At least it will melt off the snow and I won't have to shovel any steps. Looks like it's going to be a long mud season this year.
Wahine-the term might be looking for is Advance Directive-that includes living wills, medical or health care POA (different from financial or general POA). The biggest thing to do is to file a copy with all the local hospitals. The hospital will flag the chart, and if someone can't speak for themselves the staff uses that info, and state legislation to determine who can make decisions for the patient.

LOL NM....yeah I hate Drivers Lic pics too....each time I hate my pic, but then when time for the next one rolls around, my prev pic looks good to me, as the new one always looks worse! Glad you got so much done, AND lost weight too! I have lost some with all the stress these past few days, but glad my tummy is not in knots right now. YES, "advance directive" is the term, and yeah I knew the med POA was different, but copied what you wrote so I can see WHERE they have that, as I think they had all that drawn up. LOL at the Maine Mud Season drink....sounds like you and Karen have some weather changes to deal with. We had so much rain, then the tornadoes, BUT today will be 72 and sunny....yay!!! Surely will enjoy it as I will be out with my mom, to get her hair cut, run errands, SHOP, etc. LOVE the derby hat with the horse!!!
Bestest Humpity Hump Dey to ALL Youze Bootiful Galz! You izzz all so sweet and so specual to mese. Haven't mentioned everyone by name, but YOU KNOW I think about you all, all the time! Glad the lounge is full....think this afternoon I will meander into the casino after hitting the free ATM. Enny1 wanna join mese?
