Morning Loungettes!! It's going to be a sunny beautiful day in Cali today. Hoping to get lots done. Had my last nupigen shot for this past tx yesterday, so my hips and legs are hurting but the nausea from the pain meds is worse, so just muttling through the pain. Seeing the ONC thurs and will discuss other pain managemet options then. Want to get the pain management figured out before surgery, can you imagine having to vomit after BMS/recon???!!! No thank you!!!
Wahine-dI'm so glad that your talk with your dad went well. I could tell it was weighing heavily on your mind! Hope this gives you some peace of mind and you can just enjoy being with your folks now.
Beans-So glad you popped in!! I know what it's like being in that "funk", ugh!! You girls have picked me up when I was down MANY times in the last few months. Get some sunshine if you can.....that helps too

Morning Dahhhlinks! Stella and I had a berry buzy day yest. Mese was berry glad she wuz so halpful wif da Baxter bath. Mese sees dat Stella posted a pic of her new furbaby. Yes....she whined and whined til mese relented and toik her to da pet shop. Now she bees happy and won't steals mese Bella when she flys home today. She is sleeping in dis morn. Last night she was Stella da bella da ball. Hardly paid mese any attention...Eric, Eric, Eric, eberthin was about Eric. Den the Karaoke started. Dorka, ewes right...dat goil can sing!! Mese was soo tired but she din't want to leave and kept sendin da dwinks ober, sooo, mese car got dwunk and Stella had to fly us both home. She did win a widdle money tho adn eberbody was sooo sadly to see us go. Dey looking forward to next time Stella bisits.

Had to laugh about the DL photo, I think they are always awful and Wahine is so right even the last one is never as bad as the current one...sheesh! Mine only shows that I gained weight, but one of my last ones I had the flu for about a week before I went in so I looked thin and I put a pounda make up on so you couldn't tell I was green. Think I'll try that method again next time - tee hee! LOL at the $5 gas!! And I love the MAINE MUD SEASON...that is perfect for here too, you should see my driveway, it is a spring melt mess!

Tiedye - I'm jealous of yer weather (I'm from Cali) and it's kinda cloudy in WA today. The sun can do so much to deal with pain. I was glad when I was doin Keem-Ho that it started in the summer. Hope everyone is hangin in and has a nice big dwinkie poo goin down smooth as silk! I gotta figure out what to pack and stuff. Wasn't planning to leave da mountains for a while. Hope I can get off da mountain wif all this melting snow and ice. Aw, well, I'm going to make a list and first ting on my list is to get a MAINE MUD SEASON! I'm so mad I finally figured out too that my bath scale weighs me light so I'm even heavier than I thot...must get some exercise, but it's just a mess outside, hard to walk anywhere. I have to use my screw shoes to go anywhere outside so I don't slip and fall. Then I'll have to check the mountain passes... maybe will leave here Saturday. This is not woykin well wif my woyk chit either. I need to bee in two places...I think Goldie knows how to do that. Hey Goldie, can you remind me how to be in two places at once??? Oye Vey! If I dwink enuf will dat work?? I know you know, so pweeeese remember me cuz my bwain is like mush and don't member mucha anyting. I hab a calendar so I write down all this in it and then can't memember where I put my calendar. Tank goodness I got a pink flying saucer thingy for my tamoxifen pills...only dey dont rmemeber me to re-fill when da bottle almost MT and last time I almost wan out and da pharm dude was out too...so I got stweeeeeessssssssed out but finally got mo pills. Cindy, ask your doc for some anit nausea meds so you can take your pain meds..............you need to be comfortable as pain pushes up you blood pressure and that cancause all sorts of problems. Take care you.
Dotty you are working too hard as usual.....don't forget that you need down time as well. I'm so sorry, yea I said the 'S' word but I am about your boobie slipping and the fact that you have to let it heal more before the doc will repair. You have been through so much with that bad boob it's time something went your way with it. Hope that healing process doesn't take too long.

I have an appt today with my spine surgeon, and hope to get an appt for the caudal epidural b4 my trip. Esp since I had to stop the meds cuz of the ulcers. Would LOVE some relief from the back pain...of course I do have a list of excercizes that I haven't done....shame on me! Puleez come to the HTL more often!!!

Lori, Waiting to read your post today, and hope I didn't bump ya into da pool. Has business picked up, or does that wait till spring? How is your DH doing??? Kauai, where you got married, (duh, I know you know where you got married, but that is for the others that don't know!) has had a deluge of rain....35 inches in 3 or 4 days! Flooding on Oahu and other islands, as my classmates have mentioned so many flooded areas, but Kauai sounds like it got the brunt of it. Wonder how mnay weddings got flooded out?

Good morning, Loungettes! Bright sunshine and 52 degrees already! Got some running around to do today, but got the furnace turned off and some windows opened to air out the winter doldrums. One of the running around things I'm going to do is stop by the office and drop off a copy of my certification report, just to see the reactions. No one there knows I was planning to take it, so this should be fun!
Mrs. Vino-Kentucky Derby and Cinco de Mayo both? What a PARTAY that's going to be! And I did have a nice glass of burbon last night to celebrate, was very, very good after so long of being off the likker stuff!
Wahine-I actually have caught myself using NativeMainer at work once or twice, fortunately I noticed before I had to explain! It was kind of funny, though.
Mema-I've never had a mint julep, maybe you could make me one on Derby Day this year, just for old time's sake and my alcoholic edification?
DorKable-what kind of grand puppy is Ginger? Sounds like Ginger and Stella are very happy. And just keep calling me NM, or Native, or Kim, Mud Season Gal, Muddy.or anything else you want, just so long as you don't forget to call me when the tenders are pouring out new dwinkies! The title stuff is fun to play with. Looks good on a resume or when I give a reference.
Chrissy-My rememberer doesn't work very well most of the time anymore either. I have to be silly and put alarms on my phone and notes on my calendar and do all sorts of funky things to make sure I don't forget stuff. And I STILL manage to forget things! Sigh. Glad your eyes are good and the meds got tweaked.

When my mom and stepdad moved to AL from HI, they planted a magnolia tree in the front yard, and when visitors could come to stay with them, he would make mint juleps and take a pic of them by that magnolia tree. Neat to see pics from when the tree was small, to where people could actually stand under it! And your pic is PRICELESS of the guy on the beach....you can see what needed a larger hat to cover it....his head...!!!! I'll take one of those Happy Day dwinks...love mango and never thought of adding it to da bubbly (other than mango margaritas)....will try jest mango and champagne some day too! Hugs!

I think you have 2 more tx's or is the next one the last one? I find it so odd how different gals react differently to these tx's. Some getting so sick and others breezing right through. Oh, and you have appt with new PS or BS next week too, right?

Juliet. Wow, jes realized our dx dates are 1 day apart. I started looking for ‘answers' in early Feb but didn't get any news til April 20. It's been one helluva year that's for sure. Goldie-Yes ma'am, I am halfway through, two more tx then DONE and onto surgery! Excited bout meeting the new PS - she wants a 90 min consult!! That in itself is encouraging in comparison to they way we were rushed and dismissed by the first guy! She can't see me till next month, but as you've all pointed out-it's worth the wait!
