Now, can you get the gastrologist to dictate my report??? Can you believe it is a month tomorrow, and still don't have it. I doubt he will EVER get that day straightened out. He IS a good dr though, so will give him one more chance, next month.

Tiedye, Glad you are on the flylady bandwagon....I have had to delete the emails for a couple of months now just so I won't feel guilty that I don't have time to do that right now. Even though you can jump right in, I have been bizzzzzzy. Good idea to get our Alli to teach a fashion and beauty class for us in the HTL. She sure does have it all figured out! But she has lots of natural beauty to work with too!

Oh Mema, oh myma, mese meant to tail ya da trip dates, and mese foigot. My DD gets here on the 22nd and we leave on the 23rd....2 wks from tomorrow...yikes! Lots to do, but sooooo glad we get to go together, will be wunnerful getting to be with her that long.

Got my steroid spine injection (caudal epidural) set now for the 19th, have to be at hospital at 5:30 am! BUT glad they could fit me in. They have to put me under anesthesia, so we will be there for awhile! IT usually helps a lot, and its been 3 1/2 yrs since I last had it done. Took 2 1/2 hrs at the drs, to see him for just a few minutes! Grrrrrrrrrr......

Oh foigot, Mema, you also asked about the epidural. This one is a steroid, so it is different than when someone gets an epidural for giving birth. Should last several months to help with the pain and inflammation.....yay!!!! BUt you have to be so still since its in your spine, guess thats why they put you out!

Hi Mema, Oh I hope mine will last more than 3 months! I think it has lasted over 6 mo for me, but it affects everyone different.

Sounds like a good day for everyone, a good way to get into Friday. I get another Friday off tomorrow and then back to a 5-day work week until Easter, sigh. However, next week starts 4th quarter, so my schedule finally starts (mostly) slowing down. Less classes is the main thing, more time for working with kids one on one.

Kymn, so glad to hear from you!! We started chemo on the same day last year, St. Patrick's Day, remember?! What a long,strange trip it's been.

My computer screen isn't working all of a sudden, so doing everything on the iPad. I love it, but it doesn't work for everything. I guess I have to go get a new monitor. I swear we just got this one in August or September. I hate dealing with repairs, warranties, etc. why can't it just work?!

Good morning, Loungettes! Slept later than I expected to, but since I don't have to get up at any particular time I guess that 's nothing to worry about. Gotta remember the time change this weekend along with getting back into the swing of things at work. And I want to re arrange my living room and little office area, but don't really have the time to do that today. Sounds like spring! 5 years ago today, at 5:30 pm, I was on the phone with my BS who said "the pathology reports cancer cells. It is breast cancer." I still remember her voice on the phone saying those words. Now, 5 years later, I'm surprising myself by thinking and planning for the future AND believing that I will have one!

Mema--Phoenix for Easter? Sounds like fun! Do you have family there? And in Oregon? I agree with you about Scuby's initial's meanings, I'm gonna have to think on more interpretations to go with yours!

Wahine--First class all the way home!! Yeah for you! Must be nice to be in first class on such a long trip. Karen--One glass too many is just enough to make my head ache, too. Try dwinking a big glass of water, or two if you can, that often helps the headache after wine if the headache isn't too bad. . .

1/2 oz Grand Marnier
1 oz Gold Rum
1/2 oz Dark Creme de Cacao
4 oz (Cold) Coffee
3/4 oz Heavy Cream

Directions

Well Wednesday afternoon I got an email from my new friend here, the ones that manufacture the plant protectors and she asks me if I got the email from the garden club in regards to their meeting the Saturday morning and that I was on the agenda to speak! Uhhhhh NOOOOO. So, I had to get something together and materials so I can pull this off in the morning. Speaking on irrigation for the garden. Never spoke in front of a group before, so I hope I do ok. The gal that runs it finally called me yesterday and I saw the email. Well they have me as Lori from such and such (one of our competitors). Which explains why I didn't get the email. But that will be my opening line........Hi, I'm Lori from MR DRIP not such and such!

OMG Lori, Thats purty stressful to find out today that you have to make a speech TOMORROW! And esp since you never got the first email, and they have you associated w/ competitor! Gawd! With that storm we had, I know if we had not found it yesterday it would have died out there last night. So it was comforting knowing at least it was warm and being cared for. I used to hand raise baby cockatiels, but that was YRS ago, and also never had to try to mend bkn wings or legs, so would have no idea what to do. One other thing she reminded me of, and just letting you all know too....if you rescue an injured animal, do not try to feed it, as it may be in shock and that would be harmful to it. And I love the "sock mama" idea, to keep them warm. My DH uses a thing with rice in it that he heats in the micro, and puts across his head when his headaches are soooooo bad, but can now make it with a sock!

NM.....yippeeeeee will definately have a dwink in your honor tonight....for your 5th anniv, and for 5 yrs beating the rat bastard, and many, many, many more good years!!! (I was gonna say a hundred more yrs, but not sure you want to live THAT long! LOL). How could any of us every forget hearing those words....can remember so clearly being told that dx, and my 4 yrs is coming up. BUT we have survived, and we are living, and have lots to look forward to! Yippeeeeee! Yes, first class will be wonderful! I love Germany too, and have stayed there for a wk at a time, several times. Want to go to Italy (in fact was considering a cruise that leaves from Rome, just last night), my mom always loved Venice, and my late DH was in Italy on Special Forces training, shortly before he died. He really liked it there too. Only been to Strausburg (sp?) in France, and wasn't impressed, but sure there are lots of wonderful areas there to see. Portugal is amazing, and you just never hear much about it....but they have palaces too, and that medieval walled city is amazing (people still live there, and it used to be on the coast, but is far inland now!), nice beaches not far from Lisbon, and all the beautiful old architecture. I collect potteryware that was made there for years, but I think the factory has shut down now. Could actually get it HERE cheaper than buying it there...go figure.

Oh yeah, the wedding is for DH's cousins son (he was very close to his cousin, who died many yrs ago), and he lives in NJ.. SO thought it would be awesome if I could meet Dorkie and Scoobie then! Will be Dec 29, so not a good time to travel there, with winter, holidays, etc. At first I didn't really want to go, till I thought of our 2 amazing loungettes that I might get to meet!!! Anyone else that might be near there at that time???
