Almost broke a record high today...missed it by one degree...at 10:15 it was 70...warmer than it will be tomorrow....tomorrow is going to be rainy and 30 degrees colder than today....so low 50's...don't mind the temp, but tomorrow is the DPS Shakespeare Festival at the Performing Arts Complex in downtown denver...1000s of kids performing....including my DD....most of the performances (except the school of the arts) are outside of stages....sure hope the kids don't have to worry about rain along worrying about how well they are performing...each performance is between 7 and 12 minutes....my DD is in two....Julius Cesear and MSND where she is part of the audience...her costume for Julius Cesear is a toga...she doesn't have that many lines and had she known that I think she would have picked a different part...the day starts out with a huge parade...then performances on about 15 different stages...I'm driving a group of kids....not sure if I'll stay all day (like from 8:30) or come home to get a couple things down then go back down for the 1st performance at 11.....will be there till at least 3pm.....I remember the 1st year DD performed in Shakespeare...it was in grade 2, the year I was Dx...the festival is always the 2nd Friday in May...that year is was May 12 (only remember because it was DS b'day) and I had chemo the week before....it was soooo hot....I melted...came home and went to bed...but atleast I got to see her perform.....she's done Shakespeare every year since except last year.....and this is her last year since she is going to private school next year....she was stressed before bed trying to make sure her costume was just right!!!
Not sure if I'll get to check in tomorrow....when we get home from Shakespeare, its time for me to go help set up for the Day of Caring...then I'm staying at the hotel and its on Saturday till around 2pm....if its not raining too hard, I might just ride my bike home the 6 or 7 miles......other wise its hanging out in the hotel lobby till shabbat is over after 8:30 pm....just too long for me...but I guess I'll have to wait to see what the weather brings...plus thats a long, long ride for me....my bike is a 3 speed cruiser.....Still have to figure out dinner for me....will pick up something...might just make a salad and make a sandwich....take a small bottle of wine, some munchies and a good book to read Friday night.....speakikng of wine...time to pour another glass then off to bed....Hugs and sweet dreams...

Good Morning, Loungettes! Sun shining this morning, but showers predicted for off and on today. Yuck. Still, better than hard rain. Of course, the weekend is going to be beautiful. Such is life!
DorKable--I'm sure your DD is doing ok with her grandfather's death. I have a cousin that I am very close with, it's a special bond that's hard to describe. Your FIL sounds like a wonderful man; the world is poorer for his loss. Glad the boss is turning back into a human being, that makes things more pleasant. And losing the post did make me angry for a minute, but since I still had the written part in word, I just started over finding pics to go with. Glad I can entertain, and thanks for letting me rant and rave! I needed that so much yesterday, and didn't even realize. So now it's your turn, you go for it and I will listen and pass tissues as needed!
Mrs. Vino--Holy shmoly what a night you had! Why would the cashier need to see your ID? And how does anyone in that kind of position get off with saying something like she did?????? Please tell me you didn't leave a tip for the hostess, at least!
Karen--YIKES! Dog fights are very scary indeed. Who is it that doesn't like Mischa, DS or Bear? Be careful pulling them apart!
Mrs. Vino--that Kohl's cashier needs a kick somewhere, that's for sure! I'll hold her while you kick, OK?
Wahine--Sounds like you've had a pretty good trip, so happy for you! It must be really hard to see your Mom's memory declining. Definitely take your mom painting when you get back and see how it goes. Sometimes we remember how to do something longer than we remember how to talk about it. Traveling with breakables is always such fun! I ship breakables home since I just cannot seem to get them from vacay to home without breaking something. And good for you for complaining to Kohls by snail mail. I think some of these places require complaints going through snail mail to discourage people from complaining. Doesn't always work, does it?
DorKable--You found Stella's undercover identity?!?! Wow, you are GOOD! Sounds like Stella's disguise is pretty good, too! And your grandpuppy must have been sooo cute dragging the big bed closer to you! Amazing how they know when we need comfort and loving, isn't it?

Indeed losing a post sucks, especially when doing your pictures, as those have to be posted on the thread right away, you can' t put those in Word and then copy and paste everything to the thread. So I totally understand that frustration.
Bernie, that is one of the things that I do not like either. I could always come back to the thread where I left off. I wonder if anyone has mentioned that on the complaint thread? I have not been there to read. I barely have enough time to come here and read, reply and dwink!

Alli, I just lub the way you tell your stories girl, can feel ya all the way out here in AZ. At this last trade, there were these two sisters walking around and they came up to me and asked me how I got my hair so curly, that is was beautiful. You should have seen their mouths drop, when I told them "chemo". LMAO, and now you shredded your Kohl's card. OMG, so funny. I just cannot imagine, NOT starting my day here. As you goils ar da bestest. I also forgot to share, that while in one of the booths, my DH was schmoozing with these chicks and they gave us a 6 pack of beer, that came from their home state of TX, it is Buffalo Butt Beer!

Hi girls,
Well don't you know - I am minding my own business, sitting at a traffic light on the way to my doctors office when a man puts his truck into reverse and bang, there goes my beautiful car, not so pretty. I tried backing up while laying on the horn but it was too late. Dude was backing up to make room for an 18 wheeler making a turn and he did not see me behind him. Booo, my car is pretty banged up. I agreed to just exchange info as I did not want to miss my appointment, hoping he is a man of his word. It was a business vehicle that hit me and he said his office manager will contact me. They had better pay for a rental car for me if they do not want insurance involved.
The good news is that (for once), it was not my fault!
Pants, bring me one of each DOTD....slurp slurp slurp, ahhh, dat better. I am off for a mid day nap, love my afternoon nappies!

It will break the hold they have on da other pooch and hang on...pull dat dog outta da room, let go and run like hell. LOL j/k...but really, they won't be able to bite you either if you can hang on and keep those legs up. I didn't learn dat til I got in middle of my pooches (long time ago) and got my hand broken in the mix.

I have to go to de police department and file and accident report. The driver of the truck that hit me did this so I will follow suit and do the same. I guess it is best if there is a report. I just hope it is not against me since it was not my fault.

I am back and I am fuming mad. I went to the police station and went I walked in, the officer said "you are the lady that hit the hummer?". The dude is such a blazing idiot. He lied and said that I hit him. The one thing in my favor is that he told the officer that he was reversing but further told him that I said that I was not paying attention. WTF, I was not moving!! I called the company back, it is called All Risk Restoration,left a nasty message but then decided to delete it as I was cursing like a trucker. I will deal with this but that lying SOB will see me in court. Lesson leared, never trust anyone. I am putting a curse of that man. Woooosh, I hope his tennis balls catch fire!! I am pissed off.

You should see what it does for pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer...it is very damaging to cells. It is also implicated heavily in throat cancer and stomach cancer. Smoking just makes everything worse, especially if your are genetically unable to handle it. Hate to be a buzz kill.

Happy Saturday all. Unofficial report is all clear on mammo and ultrasound. Will get official report Monday but radiologist told tech everything looked good. BS was pretty non-committal about my LE, says it might be rads symptoms not LE. Thinks I don't need a sleeve to fly,unless a long distance. Said at least it wasn't in my arm..ack. He is behind the times I fear. My OT will have a fit when I tell her.
Had dinner with parents, #2DD, and husband at Macaroni Grill for Mothers Day and for my dads 74th birthday. Yummy! Going to see Dark Shadows with DS and DH. DS is going to appease me for mothers day. That's okay. I love Johnny Depp; hope it doesn't disappoint!0 -

Don't fight it, it will kick you in the behind if you do. Take a few naps. Don't work too hard over the weekend. I am working too and trying to get some things done outside and cleaning!!!

DOTD BLUE PEARL
- 1. 2 Parts ABSOLUT KURANT
- 2. 1 Part Blue Curacao
- 3. 2 Dashes Lemon Juice
- 4. Lemon-Lime Soda
Probably the most used soft drink. (A bartender secret: Whenever someone asks for a "good drink", there is a way to always succeed: In a long drink glass, filled with ice, pour one part vodka, one part fruit liqueur (strawberry for instance), a dash of lime- or lemon juice, and fill with lemon-lime soda. Garnish, serve with two straws. Success!)

How to mix this cocktail
Fill a chilled highball glass with ice cubes. Add ABSOLUT Kurant, blue curacao and lemon juice. Topup with lemon-lime soda. Garnish with lemon.

Cyndie, You fit right in here! AND we have some very devoted beer dwinkers, esp Lisa aka Scooby, aka ScoobyDoo, etc. She usually posts amazing BOTD's (Beer of the Day), as she tries sooooo many! She is diving now in the Keys, but should be back SOON. My DH loves Guinness (but I don't like dark beer), and he bought a 12pk for our week in Vermont forgetting (well, not listening to ME!) that we wouldn't be in the condo every night for Pau Hana (Happy Hour), so because he had told me he would drink it all, he drank 4-5 ea day for a couple of days and got BIG headaches! LOL....if he had bought beer we both liked, then I could have helped him! Our dear late Junie, who we lost last year loved her Miller Lite's, so we have a corner in the Hot Tatties Lounge (HTL) with a Miller Lite table, chairs, decor, etc. SO when we mention having a ML for Junie, it is having an ML in her honor. Lori (innocent one!), aka Goldie, made a great video of our utopia HTL....we all added things to the HTL to make it PURRFECT....and keep on adding things. Hope you get to see it.
