oopps me bad...Cyndielou....welcome...saw da goils posted da video fer ya. I've only been here bout 9 months and sooo glad I found these wonderful wonderful wonderful goils!! Gotta stool open right here...com'on sit down...here's a DOTD fer ya...ok, make it two fer! Yes...on the fatigue following you for awhile. Best thing I did was start walking. All thru chemo...everyone sed...walk, even if for only 10 mins. I jes couldn't do it. Well...I did walk from da bed to da recliner...LOL. But seriously....I started at 15 mins everyone other day, then skip whole week...then start again...try to keep going...now...walking 3 miles or 1 hour at least...and at least 3x a week. It's hard, but it does make a diff. But I didn't have to work, so...I gave myself the ‘excuse' right off the bat. I think we all have a battle regardless...jes have to find the support to get thru it. That's what I love about this site...drink or not...jes come n join us n have some fun...really does a body good...hey..isn't that a slogan for milk or sump tin...how bout a dotd wif milk...eh Lori...jk.
I been to Germany...but many many many many years ago, n was around Nuremberg(sp) n around the Czeck border, was cool, n sad, but glad I went. I was struggling w/my shepard, he snappin n snappin trying to git dis rotti off his head...well, Rocky cudn't hailp it, he snap, bite me, snap, bite me, den snap agin, dis time my whole hand in his mouth n he jes locks down. Broke two little bones that run down the hand (my left) from the ring n middle finger. O n git dis...dey almost kill me in the ER dat night....OD me on da lidacaine...I don't kno how to spell it. n e way...after calling hand specialist in Missoula...he say...oo jes stitch her up, she can come see me on Monday....yea...den dey give me MORE Lidacaine...den I say...hey, how come I'm tasting coppery in my throat...HOLY MOLeY. N E way...lost nerves in dat hand, but otherwise all ended up OK.

Well I am getting back to painting for real this time hehe. Hey, I trick my sister taught me, I bet Kathy already knows but it is very helpful with painting. If you start a paint job and do not finish up, you can wrap your rollers and paint brushes in aluminum foil (yes, hello Junie, I tought of you too) and put it in the freezer. It worked out great. It did take a bit longer to defrost then I thought but the brushes and rollers are just as they are when I ended yesterday (or should I say in de wee hours of de aye em).

Hated hearing about that little girl, Sue. If I were her parent I would just want to die too, and I imagine thats how they feel. Very sad, will pray for all her loved ones, just horrendous.
Just heard from my dad and his sister in AR fell AGAIN, and broke the same leg she broke back in Nov (when DH and I were in Ireland with my parents). She is 97 now.....hope she will be able to heal from this. She grew up in Hawaii too, but moved to AR since her DH is from there.
I am not cot up wid da posts, but twing to ketchup on sum shows.

Good morning, Loungettes! I finally have a day when I don't have to run around going to meetings or getting tests done or anything else. Got to admit I could use the time. Yesterday I got blood work done for my PCP appointment next week, got the bone density test done, will get those results at my appointment in September, and got to get up without the alarm clock going off. Oh, yeah, got home yesterday to a phone message from one of the supervisors telling me that she sent a general voice mail out to all the staff about how I'm "working on managing the weekends better" and how everyone can help me "be successful." Sigh. I think I need one of those Jack Daniels bottles.
Bernie--How horrible what happened to your friend! And how horrible how it happened. You must be so upset. You do know you can come in here anytime for comfort and company, you don't have to be funny to be welcome.

DorKable--I've read about the "black box" thingys that are getting put in cars, I wonder if they are tied into GPS technology, too. Could be useful if you need an alibi sometimes!

Cyndielou--I live in "Central Maine" near Newport, about halfway between Waterville and Bangor. Fiddlehead season has finally hit big time, going price is $3 to $4 a pound this year. Lobstahs are already going to soft shell, a good couple months early this year. Rangely is a beautiful area, no matter what time of year. Fraid I can't help with skin issue, when I got rads I got 3rd degree burns (oops, can't say burns, it's "radiation dermatitis" or "radiation sunburn"). Hopefully your rad center can be more helpful to you.
Goldie--yep, we get scolded for any over time that isn't approved ahead of time. Of course, there isn't anyone around to approve overtime on the weekend, but that fact doesn't seem to get in anyone's way. Oh, ug, noseeums are HORRID! Worse than mosquitos and black flies! You poor dear. OOH, that blue Insanity sounds just perfect! I think I need a flask full!
DorKable--If you could send your peeples to "talk" to my supes, I would greatly appreciate it! I'm wondering if I should be talking to someone in the union, or if that would just stir the pot too much. Lordy, why can't I just find a job that I can do, do well, and do in peace? What color are you painting your bedroom? It's amazing how much difference a coat of pain can make in a room!
Juliet--the standard for getting a raise (among other standards) is 100% meeting attendance. Needless to say, very few raises get given in this organization, thank God for the union that negotiates a 1 or 2% raise every couple of years. Of course, we are also penalized if we don't take enough vacation time, too. But if you take a week of vacation time you will miss at least one meeting, and there goes the 100% attendance criteria.
Wahine--YIKES!!! Hope the kid that put the lock on your grandson got some "feedback" about that. Maybe a visit by DorKable's peeps? And a creep trying to pick up the girl, wow. Glad she and your granddaughter are savvy enough not to fall for that. Those close shaves deserve BIG drinks!

Princess Glitter Sizzle's DOTD is The Fukitol
1 1/2 oz Triple Sec
1 1/2 oz Citrus Vodka
1 1/2 oz Peach Schnapps
1 1/2 oz Canadian Whiskey
1 splash Orange Juice
1 splash Pineapple JuiceDirections

NM - me n DH been to dat part of Maine...many years ago...but it was sooo beautiful. I ate my 1st bowl of NE clam chowder at a place called the Black Pearl ?? I think that was it. yummm! My Rocky was fine...and the blood stream was exactly where dat chit went. But again, many years ago. We gave the rotti back to orig owner and Rocky n my Haley remained our house pets til we left MT in 2001. Rocky went to a good home, Haley and our horses came with us to Elko. That was another life time too. Wish you could find some peace in your job. Sounds like such horrid working conditions. I'm with you and Dorka with the fukitol...make a gallon n lets git bizy.

Welcome Home Mema! (home being The HTL). That is a scary story about your hand and then the mishap with the drugs in ER. Glad all is good now. I do not have any info for Cindy, but I do have news on Beans. She is good and still visiting with her sister, but she does not have any internet there. And dat DorK, she really is a trooper, isn't she? The girl NEVER complains, so I often forget that she is in constant pain. Hopefully after tomorrow, that will be the end of that and no more pain for DorK.

Hey ladies! Been MIA for a few days, was visiting the Fukitol fountain on a regular basis. Been trying to catch up, but it's difficult, as I'm in the passenger seat of a rental car, Beach bound baby! After Monday, had a few Dr appts, having lots of bloodwork done, etc, then told DH if I had to sit in the house for a week, I'd slit my wrists. So, called a friend who has a condo in Gulf Shores, it's available, AND they're letting us stay for free! Only have to pay cleaning! Woo Hoo! I will take a pic from the balcony and send it to our Goldie girl to post, cause she so sweet to do that! We took Aubrey out of school, talked to her principal about it, and he gave her an excused absence! Said go have fun! School is out Tuesday, so we will plan on driving back tuesday am. Will deal with test results and dr appts when I get back. It will have to wait! DD is in the back seat cracking me up. She is grounded from her electronics, so I told her on the trip she could read, sew, or do her word seek. She is currently pumping her fist getting truckers to honk, lol. Left two hours ago, 8 to go!

Darn it, just heard Donna Summer passed away today....just 63, had lung cancer. Sucks! She was such an amazing singer and surely will be missed. Loved all her songs in the late 70's and 80's. This one is for you Donna....*ka-chink*....raising my glass to you.

Lori, I was right...they did do the US today to check out the "territory" before surgery..I asked the tech...who was all of about 10 years old and so skinny if standing sideways would be totally invisible...tho she did seem very knowledgable...I will let you know when and If I head to PHX ...Im thinking October but who knows...I need to go to Maine first.I dont dive yet...but I had planned to learn as soon as I was finished with all of this chaos..MN...love the fiddlehead pic...we used to pick pounds and pounds of them ..never had a mind to sell them..just froze them so we had a years worth or so...love em..cant wait!! I lived in in Auburn then Hartford then down to Westbrook prior to my cross country move to Phoenix..love it and miss it terribly. Katwinka, mese faborite Donna Summer song is Last Dance. Reminds me of my late teen summers at Myrtle Beach with my family. I heard about it on my car radio when I was on the way home from my hair appointment and I could not believe it. I did not even know she was ill, so sad.
My DD just got back from the beach and the back of her back is as red as a lobster. I asked her if she used sun block and her response was "of course I did Mom, I just just forgot to put it on my back" .... #shaking my head

Fiddleheads have a mild taste, kind of like a cross between celery and dill. Nice bit of chew, sort of like al dente pasta. It's the first of the local greens to be ready to eat in the spring.
