Hi goils,i've been missing so much here but been so busy. Today my dad got back into town so we celebrated father's day and his b-day was today so it was double duty. Running as usual for those last minute gifts since he gave us no notice. But we were glad he came back for at least one of his important days. He's 91 and still restless,running out of town to visit friends. When he was little his parents had to tie him to the chair to take a picture,lol. I guess that's where I get my restlessness from. Anyway I've been a bit bummed,my dog has cataracts and is completely blind in one eye. He had it when we adopted him a few years ago. Now it seems it's starting in the other eye. Came on so quickly and he's bumping into things. Just so upset thinking he could go blind completely. And the damn vet isn't returning my calls about what to do. I probably will take him to an ophthalmologist,see about eye drops/surgery. But life goes on and I don't want to be a par-tay pooper. I'm going to relax tonite w/my sangria,love that stuff. DORK-Thanx for the hugs,needed them fo shuh. To everyone else I say cheers and talk to you all tomorrow.

Okay, so I has pulled mese self together to tail de story. Ok, so Allison was stalking me dis ebbening and tailing mese to call her so that Ray could sing Touch Me. So here I am tinking that she wants me to lern this song called Touch Mese by de Doors. But no, she was referring to de song "Memory". So I dial up de number and Mr and Mrs Vino was so fercited to sing his song. She plays me song Memory and Mr.Vino proceeds to sing it. But with his own lyrics. He is singing "touch me, if only you touch me, I can feel you touch me, then I feel so brand new"...he starts de second verse of "squeeze me"....I was laffing so hard den mese phone disconnected. I call back and hear all dis laughing. So she puts Ray on de phone and he tails me dis his faborite song and he sings it to his loving wife all de time! I can not imagine living in de Vino house, dey are funnnneee people!

Good morning, Loungettes! Please forgive any typos, Silly Sadie is trying to "help" this morning, and her snout typing skills are still being developed. The weather guesser is saying it's supposed to be a 3H day (Hot Humid and Hazy). My plan is to get some housework done early, then chill out in the hammock chair with cold drinks and good books this afternoon. I'm feeling rather lopsided, facially, this morning. The spot where the mole was taken off my cheek feels tight and sore, the spot where the thingy was taken off on the left side is itchy, swollen, and very sore. It's going to be hard to remember not to scratch it! Ah well, such is life, and this is temporary.
CynCyn--actually, I don't buy all that much from Beans. I buy from them when I know exactly what I want and have the money to pay for top of the line stuff. Or if I'm looking for something hard to find. Otherwise I get pretty much the same stuff through amazon or a local store. I know several people who work the call center in the winter, the discounts they get are awesome! Sometimes it's more work than it's worth to get a discount somewhere. . . .

DorKable--I didn't really have surgery, I had a mole and a keratotic spot removed from my face. Local lidocaine only, no needles, no IV's, no big recovery. No anesthesia. None. Nada. Not even nitrous oxide. So you're still good. And xanax is a WONDERFUL friend, almost as good as all of my breasties! Ignore the idiots on You Tube who critizise all the time. That's all they have to do, they probably don't have real jobs or anything. And they forget that they had to learn, too, to become "experts" or whatever they like to call themselves. Nothing wrong with amateur status, just means you're having fun and have room to have more fun!
Lisa--Unfortunately, yes, the aromatase inhibitors do give you menopause symptoms even if you have been through menopause naturally. You see, when the ovaries stop making estrogen there is this pesky little enzyme, called aromatase, that coverts fat and cholesterol in the fat cells into estrogen. It's not a big source of estrogen, but when you take one of the Ais, it blocks the enzyme from working, and then there is none--estrogen, that is. Our bodies feel the loss of that little bit of estrogen and let us know they don't like that state of affairs with hot flashes, aches and pains, weight gain, etc. It's NOT fair. It sucks out loud, actually. BUT--there are ways to manage the side effects, and not every woman gets them badly enough to be really bothered.

Undy--It's hard to see our furbabies aging, sometimes. The vet should be calling you back, that's for sure. A friend of mine has a blind dog, a chiawuwa, and he gets along just fine. He even adapted to moving to a new house. He still bumps things once in a while, but he still finds his way into an empty lap for pets and cuddles. I'm hoping your furbaby can be treated easily.

Sue, I sit here and laugh in the morning too, and my DH says the same thing "wus so funny". We are getting there, with the warehouse. Have one more truck load to go get. Doing that Friday, will leave here tomorrow afternoon. Dreading it, as temps are getting close to 115 down there. May have to pick up a couple of Mexicans, they stand at Home Depot and Lowes, hoping someone will pick them up for work. Illegals I imagine, but work for cheap. As for my dad, I am not very close to him, although I love him. He disowned my children many years ago, was not the best dad growing up, took huge frame with photos in it that my grandma (his mother) made of my grandfather, during his military service. She embroidered the outside of it, and I loved it. Had it for prolly 20 years or more. Then when I divorced my husband, he said he wanted my brother to have it, as he didn't have anything of grandma's. Then when my brother came "out", he took it from him. I am just afraid they will sell it in a garage sale or something, if they haven't already. More to it, but not the place to go into it, nor do I feel like wasting my time on it!!!!

Alli, my dad has a wife, 11 yrs his junior. A very "plain jane". She would just ask him if he wanted something, and he would say "no". In the hospital, of course, they just bring it in, and he would eat it. So I told her, just make the food and put it in front of him! We don't really care for her, like I said, she didn't even tell us he was in the hospital until 4 or 5 days later. She has done this before too, when my dad had a stroke. They live in FL. SweetLisa, if you already did menopause, you will prolly get Arimidex. I believe our bods still produce hormones, just at a slower rate. Aromasins block ALL hormones, so we get these lovely intense, frequent hot flashes, weight gain, and there are other side effects.

Lori you asked if I could reveal who I'm meeting up with on the weekend. Sure can..... lol....... it's Susieq58 and she is from Brisbane. It just so happens that her DD and SIL live in Adelaide and she is coming over to meet her new GS. We organized to meet up while she is here. We were hoping to make it a real get together but the others girls are either not able to get time off work or still in treatment or just finished so are not feeling up to it. There will be discussions about doing a get together in Brisbane either late in the year or early next year.

Since I am sure she would like her daddy all to herself, it did have me feeling a bit weird. Didn't get sick though...WHEW!
Chrissy, HOW COOL that she is coming to Adelaide! WHen we visited Adelaide (b4 I knew you), it was our fav Aussie city. Love Sydney, and thats where our relatives live, but toooooo big and bizzy for me. THEN last visit, we went to Brisbane for a few days, and totally fell in love with it. LOVE how you can get all around the city via the water. And the water taxis are so reasonable. HAted the floods they had, after we left. Hope your friend didn't lose anything because of the flooding. Thats cool.....my 2 fav cities! Did you ever go into the basement of that hotel we stayed at? It used to be the treasury, and they have tunnels that still have rails where they used to transport the money, etc. ITs really cool. PLUS each room was different, used to have a purpose in those days. Love the beach too...just a tram ride away from downtown Adelaide.
OK.....gots ta git going....might cut some shrubs waaaaaay back so they can get close to the windows to measure them. Need to let them grow up again slowly, they are too huge right now. Ta ta for now!

ALI-My sewgery is upcoming-the 13 of july-friday the 13th(cue scary music). Everyone my mom tells seems to have one reaction to that date-oh,oh no. I'm not superstitious,it's just another day. The only thing i'm upset about is that it ruins my Vegas plans-again! I was going to go w/the sibs for my b-day(the 16th) and now that's off. 2 ruined Vegas trips in under a yr,this bc thing is really starting to tick me off,lol. NM-He can still get around,i'm just not sure how happy he'll be. KAT-That is an awesome video. I know my other dog would take care of him but it's hard to see him like this. The video does make me feel better though,thanx. LORI-I'll def be here if there's more Sangria. As for my dad he's unreal. He was working under big rigs repairing them when he was in his 80's,you can't slow him down. CYN-It could pass for soda if no one sniffs the cup,hahaha. I jes finished reading 2 days fo posts cuz I was doing da 'quick pop-in'. So here's some of my responses...albiet, not at all timely...ooo well.
Test went well today...no problems with mese esophagus(sp). Da only prob was dey tail me to burp/fart as they filled my belly wif air and not to be shy, jes let er rip. Well, chit...literally...dey didn't tail me mese bowels wud b loose too...fer crimminysakes...luckily dat didn't happen til I got home...so..all goot.

WaWa - OOO I wish I could...but this weekend out. My DD is in Italy until the 27th and this weekend she was desperate for a doggie sitter. So will b there Sat n Sun. Where do you find these deals anyway? R you gonna make dat trip? It's your DD bday? dat cool! Wish her a big happy one fer mese. Jes got off phone with brother in Otis, OR. Can't wait to bisit him in July.

Awww thanks Mema! I only got to talk to my DD for a little while, as she was busy with the boy scout camp. I will tell her you sent birthday wishes when I get to talk to her again. I'll do something with her next week to celebrate, plus have some cool presents for her! TOO bad you and Dorkapoo couldn't get together this weekend, but its really hard to make plans at the last minute sometimes. I check the weekly specials and deals on DL whenever I think of it, and just saw this one. Nothing from my city though! BUT I think we did secure the China trip....woohooo, that will be awesome. Hope your DD is having fun in Italy...I think she has been there before, right?? I haven't been there yet (BIG *YET*!). Someday we want to go to Oregon too...so I think your trip will be awesome!!!

scuze me if I bump ennyone, ya see, mese started partaying at 6 am agen. Oops, mese drunkliest. But had to show mese face at de partay to sailabrate de last chemo for our sweet Lisa. Mese does not see her in de lounge but dat cuz mese dwunk and could ave easily missed her.
Well gtg, mese has a lady bug crawling up mese arm, have to relocate de little lady den get back to my company. Wese habbing de most beautifulest dey, berry hot but de pool makes it tolerable. And de hose too for mese but dat okey....will get to be in de water in no time. yippee. nuf bout mese, will pop in later and twy to comprend all yese werds. I homestly did not weed all yese posts since mese last posted. but pleese no dat mese loves all you goils and dat is from de bottom of mese fart. Really though.....carry on and have fun.
